What is that music from? And/or if it's some meme i'm unaware of, what's it known by? I know i've heard it somewhere, once, but my brain just cannot place it...
It's best known as the Pillar Men Theme, though the actual track name is "Awaken"

You'd have heard of it because the online discussion about Jojo's Bizarre Adventure was massive. That theme itself is a huge meme, just read the comments.

This is a possibility that I've thought a lot about myself, but I don't think it's very likely:

- In Egg Time Madness, Sana is survived by one other, which doesn't make sense if she has multiple half-siblings. If she's Yuu's daughter then only one of Akira, Rin, Nodoka, etc. can also be Yuu's child.

- Sara has described her teacher's personality in detail and recounted specific memories involving him. It's possible that she's been forced to forget some things, but I don't think it's accurate to say she doesn't remember him. I think Haruka also remembers him as a teacher at her school, whether or not she knew him personally.

- Sara's teacher was manipulative and emotionally abusive. That would be a drastic personality change from young Yuu, who is extremely lazy but generally kindhearted and easygoing.

- Akira looks enough like Yuu that Miu recognizes it shortly after meeting him in "A House Near a Lake". Sara and Haruka have never commented that Sensei looks familiar, though maybe they can't remember what Sara's teacher looked like. More importantly, in "Good Boy" teen Sara doesn't recognize that he looks like her "boyfriend".

- You mention the possibility that Yuu was the sexual predator and Nozomu was secretly gay, but the S.E.K.A.I. story is about a man who was both of those things (or if not necessarily gay, had some sort of repressed sexuality). I think it's very unlikely this is Yuu given his parents died when he was young and we've seen inside his head.

That Nozomu post I promised is still coming, my apologies for taking so long with it.
Just some thoughts:

Also adding to it, which I consider will be addressed to some degree, that all these people might come from different realities.

I'm not really putting forward any of this, but since there will be an in-depth post, I thought it might be a good idea to raise all possibilities (even the marginal ones).

Edit: Mind you, that Miu can see the resemblance from Akira to Yuu, but teenager Sara can't see the resemblance from Akira to Nozomu, when current Akira should be his brother's age at the time, could be a big clue either way. Or Selebus was just making her not realise.

A small addition, when Akira goes to Terminal 22 we end up having the same effects on the screen as when a reset happens.

and since the reset is essentially the world being partially reset and people being moved through time and space, this leads me to believe that Akira was not just sent to Terminal 22 but rather one of the alternate realities of Terminal 22 where Yuu was with Miu. And considering that Nao said she sent Akira home, maybe Akira himself really is someone who was supposed to be at terminal 22 and not 23, which theoretically makes him an error in that world. But there really isn't much to confirm this theory.

predator inclinations could also fit into the true sexuality thing.
It could in general, but not in this case. The man in the story engaged in predatory behavior (trampling flowers) just to spite others because he wasn't able to indulge his true sexuality. Somehow I doubt it's saying that Akira was forced to hide his wizard fetish, which caused him to spitefully prey on girls who were only slightly older.

- I think the "one other" fits with Nozomu, because under that theory Sara and Rin are Sana's only living immediate family, the other Arakawas would be uncles/aunts/cousins who often aren't included in obituary "survived by" lists.

- We're in agreement on the name thing, it's something I'll be bringing up in the Nozomu post.

- Abusive might be an overstatement, but he wasn't supportive and probably had a temper. Some examples:

- Fair point on the ages, though I was thinking that if high school(?) Yuu looks a lot like adult Akira, the similarity would be even stronger with adult Yuu.

- The trampling flowers metaphor is used elsewhere to describe what Sensei is doing to the girls, so I think it's more about stealing innocence than physical abuse, though I guess it could have multiple meanings. For example:

- On the one hand, the world Nao sent him to does feel like the outcome of the Miu route, but on the other hand, would it really be Sensei's home if Akira is never born in that timeline? So I guess I lean toward the existence of a single timeline where all of Yuu's children were born, but I'm keeping an open mind.

- Not all brothers look alike, so I don't think we should assume that Akira resembles Nozomu until someone comments on it; I don't think anyone has yet, but I could be wrong.

To be honest I'm also inclined to the man in the story being Akira since it's mentioned in the end that the man then hanged himself at home. While Nozomu clearly died in car accident (It's either Akira or Sekai driving, I personally believe it's former but wonder why Nozomu didn't drive it himself), Akira at the other hand was always told to have strong suicidal impulse.

Though the other story in S.E.K.A.I where the person in question was identified with Maya was said to be still wandering around to this day. Although Maya was called in numerous times a stray cat, the ending was accurate and yet as if inaccurate. But to be honest the utmost important mystery in LiL is literally Who the hell is Maya Makinami. Now, Considering several hints from Pareidolia that Maya, like Akira was a creature that never should exist here, I might even say Maya is a Weltgeist or something.

Oh and Pareidolia connected Maya to the concerned god and Ami to the callous god in a very intentional way. Haven't seen anyone mentioned it before.

Edit: With the exception of DeSkel, that is still playing contrarian and changed his pfp from Nodoka after she was redeemed.
I wonder if I'd become a hononary angel when I catch up.

Any of you guys have a clue how one would make it so when you click load from main menu to show the image you've changed it to instead of the "main_menu.png" that comes with each update?
Very random thing but I found the solution, yoink random Russian mod, delete some code and delete some files, boom you get what you want over a month later. (I've also kind of started working on improving the garbage dark mode images I ranted a bit about in the past again after just not bothering with LiL much during the Fan Fest stuff)

Thread dead as hell, might as well torpedo it.

What's the point of Chapter 4.5 now? The only recent directive we've heard is go to the beach. Akira is no longer sad, Maya is no longer being a problem. He's probably going to be confronted by Niki in 0.50 which will likely involve Ami's events (and Noriko with what I've been calling.)

Have the previous instructions been rescinded just because Pareidolia's left Akira? All of the gods wanted him to rape someone in chapter 3 but he never did. They tried making him rape Karin but he never managed to do it. Is he going to carry it out by the end of chapter 4?

Moonflare's Quiz: "Who Said This?" #03

Time for the third round! Rules are the same as always: There are ten events, and you have to guess who said the following quotes, which could be from any character (excluding Akira).

To help guessing, most of them have more than one quote from each event (though one might be from the start and another from the end of the event). Guess who said it, check the answer, move to the next one (while keeping track of your overall score).

So, how did you do in this one? I think one of the cool things about the quiz is that it brings back scattered memories of the game, ten events at a time. If this was your first one, make sure to search for round one and two on the search bar through the "moonflare's quiz" query.

I got 2 of them + bonus. Welp, I'm bad at remembering lines from any media. I'm more trying to understand the vibe and context before reaching for the answer.
