As for Noriko, man, she has a lot to unpack and is starting to break I feel like. During that colors scene on christmas her forced smile started to waver a lot. Cause she's a better match for Akira in terms of actually knowing who he is, but her sister wins anyway. She's a better match in terms of acceptance of who he is and even willing to organize his harem, but Maya wins anyway.

She managed to touch his heart with the actual Noriko, she's the one that restored his memories, but nothing seems to be enough. I feel for her, but it's one of those character that seem to be fighting a losing battle and I have no idea what's going to happen.

Mannn ikr… I always feel so bad for Noriko because she’s one of my favorite characters and she has yet to be given proper justice. As you said, it’s never enough, and she always comes up short in some way, whether it’s to Maya, Niki or Ami. She may have just as bad luck when it comes to this stuff as Molly does tbh. But even that isn’t true anymore, since Molly literally got her first (consensual) h scene with Akira in the latest update.

We do have 2 upcoming Noriko events in 0.41, though, so I mean… who knows? Maybe we’ll begin to see some kind of a positive shift in the right direction in Akira and Noriko’s relationship by then? Fingers crossed.

I have a question regarding the anti-cheats employed by Selebus.

I want to start a replay and to eliminate the grind, and guarantee every special variation, I'd edit every Affection and Lust stat (that you can influence yourself from repeatable events) to 100 from the start. How likely is it that doing that will invoke some save corruption at certain points? Or is it completely safe?

As far as i know you're rather safe from explicit "fork you for cheating" counter measurements by Sel regarding those "integer" variables.
But i think i read people stating, that by going overboard with the values you might accidentally skip events that need lower values.
I have no experience with editing those, so maybe someone else has more details.

Speaking of Ami and ‘burning bridges’ from earlier posts I’ve read, after that display in the classroom where she threatened everyone and her attitude towards Ayane and Maya while Akira was bedridden, how might her friendships be affected from now on? Especially now that Ami now has begun to make a ‘fresh start’ along with Akira as Father and Daughter in the latest update.

Will Ami continue to hang out with the Ayane and Maya? Or might she branch out and find a new clique to get to know? I don’t necessarily think Ayane would give up on Ami, but things haven’t been easy lately either. We also had a recent scene with New Maya and Ami, and they seemed to be on decent enough terms, but even so… the mind wanders.

I think if Ami is gonna have any new friends at all, Noriko or Futaba might be good choices. Noriko because she’s already empathetic and nice to everyone else, and plus she’s Niki’s sister, whom Ami has begun growing a recent attachment to already. It would certainly make things awkward with Maya, though, for obvious reasons. Noriko would be a friend making machine, though, since she’s already growing more friendly with Yumi lol.

And Futaba, well, because they were already on good terms previously in the Manga Club, plus her falling out with Nodoka had no doubt left some kind of best friend void. It has potential.

I dunno, though. Just spitballing. It’s very possible her friend group may not change at all.

What about Nodoka as a friend for Ami? She's already taken a huge interest in her and her family, this might be a great opportunity for Nodoka to do more digging, or trying to break more of the world

Ooooh, I like that idea a lot now that you mention it, actually. The falling out between Nodoka and Futaba works both ways after all, and if it allowed Nodoka to learn more about Ami’s mother and the world at large in the process, I could totally see it.

A little out of left field, but Nodoka and Otoha might be getting closer to Ami soon. Not only are they into incest, depravity, and Sensei, they also know about her mother, and Nodoka, in particular, is interested in Ami:

I mean, Akira already ran out to meet with two other girls after the trip and lied to her face about it. So really it depends on whether Ami counts his pathological philandering as breaking that promise.

Ami probably isn't expecting that much, tbh. She sent Maya to him the update prior so she's seemingly gave up on trying to stop him from fucking minors.

Frankly, she'll probably be happy as long as he actually shows he loves her in front of others. Even him saying he loved her in front of Sara shocked her:

Install URM; it will give you a heads up whenever you're upon a flag that is about to branch the subsequent conversation. You will be able to easily view different paths in replay from the same save, with a few exceptions like Disappointing Everyone and Getting Comfortable.

Then there's how Otoha seems to see Sensei as a little brother, while he was Sekai's little brother in law. Both Sekai and Otoha also seem to be shotacons, and shitty when it comes to love. There's something strange going on here, but it's not clear what or why.

Niki and Noriko: They grew up with Sensei. They were next door neighbors and he was basically a part of their family long before he dated Niki, and since he was "with" Sekai at least:

When Sensei was around 18 and Niki 16, they dated for 5 years, then the accident happened, Sensei ghosted her, and after 8 years they reunited.

Some stuff on Noriko:

Basically the timeline seems to be:

• Sensei becomes a Tutor
• Niki mentions it to her family (currently dating)
• Noriko gets tutored and develops a crush (she's implied to be 6)
• Accident happens
• Sensei stops coming around
• Seemingly soon after, tutors again, letting Noriko back into his life but not Niki (ghosts her)
• Short time later (now revealed to be within months), Maya shows up.
• Years later, Sensei and Maya disappear (almost 5 years ago)
• Noriko begins her search
• Finds Sensei after seeing him out of a bus window. It's a thursday. Something happens. He's gone again. (Almost 3 years ago)
• Noriko continues search.
• School gets swallowed and she ends up in Wakana's class. (This year)
• Wakana tries to get rid of her, Noriko reunites with Sensei, and Maya, who calls her a cunt.

This is what I get from the 'What Could Have Been', and 'What Is' Chapter 2 Main Events, and Noriko's 'Loxosceles Reclusa' Chapter 2 Event.

Overall: The Nakayamas are basically family. Niki is like a younger big sister, and Noriko a little sister. Niki is also his childhood best friend who he used to watch anime and go play in the woods with.

Sensei has tried to hide things from Niki mostly because he cares about her and doesn't want her to see how he really is. He doesn't feel like he deserves her.

I see, well, that helps with Niki - but if all about her is indeed true, she's gonna be torn apart when the truth comes out. There are shattering revelations about what has controlled her life since forever that she has no idea about. That, or she'll soldier on regardless, and if so, more respect for her. She already said that she's too deep to have any chance of going back now, regardless of what happens.

And regarding Otoha, now that would be VERY interesting, and finally give me reason to care about her - which I've been trying to do for a long time. I wonder how Sekai feels about Niki too, I was reviewing the conversation she has about moving in, and Sekai's there the whole time, and when Niki presses to talk to Ami about it now, Sekai seems to call Ami to interrupt the conversation (or be a part of it?) Unsure about her intentions:

FireCazador i always enjoy your little journeys through the thread as you catch up to the current time through many pages of old comments, your reactions are like little milestones on your journey. You had a lot to catch up on this time around, i was actually surprised just how far back your first milestone was.

Since i started playing LiL and got a little corner at this thread i try to see all the posts since i find interesting what people think about some things (sometimes i skip the biblical post cause it would consume a lot of time and the catch up would increase at some level that i could not really catch up xd)
Overall i try to react to the post that i really like or are funny (just because the limited reactions keep me chained)
This time i forgot about the update and had like 30 pages to read and had a little pause fearing the reaction limit.

But definitely the best part of looking through all the post is when i find biblicaly posts redacted like a wiki with a lot of info and pics without looking the publisher, then think about our LiL FBI library and scroll up to see who post it and confirm my thoughts.
Also your random posts make me laught for its randomness.

Damn now that i think about it i remember when this thread didnt reach the 1000 pages and now we are almost at 2000 (and how probably at least 200 posts can be people asking for saves or complaining about their deleted saves xdd)

So i definitely will continue my journey through this thread until the end (or Sel ending in a mental hospital xd) enjoying everyone's grain of sand
