Both I'll say this about Ari falling for Tyrone... this wasn't the first sign of it. The last 2 updates, she's been hinting at it. She admitted that he makes her feel better than she ever felt. She admitted that sex with him is the best sex ever. She also admitted that she's fallen in love with his cock. This was all prior to this latest update. So the convo with Mallory is just furthering the plot of Ari possibly falling for Tyrone over MC. Another thing she did to further this, was when she sent Tyrone a pic of her tits, to "hold him over until the next time she sees him" hinting at even more sex between the two. Then she immediately gaslights MC about taking the pic.

A cynical answer: Yes, there is a reason for this. It's to sate the players who love the typical japanese ntr fare where the girlfriend's whoring it up and the bf's mostly unaware of the extent. So again, when you say "nothing for him to fetishize about"- you're right, but it's not for him, it's for the player, and this setup is a very common one for players to fetishize about.

Going by MCs words at the end of the last update he says directly that the not knowing actually causes him suffering. That seems to be the catalyst forcing him to press her to tell him what happens. He gets off on her actually TELLING him what she's done after she's done it. Every time she confesses something he gets hard, that's the kink. So her withholding everything serves zero purpose except for her.
Dev even says that his goal was to have the route where its a mix of Netorase and Netorare. So I'm guessing the telling MC things and him getting off is the Netarase part, and the lying/withholding information is the Netorare part. I'm only saying you can't have both in this situation as they are mutually exclusive if its done this way. It stops being Netorase the second she flat out lies.
