I'm also stuck on that desert map for the boss.. I assume you need to pick up a bunch of the debris that enemies drop to fill the bar but it doesn't seem to work so it's not possible to progress

You kill enemies (just circle around big crowd and throw your nuke), pickup thingies that drop from them until bar gets filled to the end then activate the gate.

i cleared the whole desert and got the key, i dont know if turning off item filtration helped but do that i guess

I got through the desert just fine just murder things...also you have to hold the button to charge the core right before the boss fight but I'm at a loss to what I need to give the woman at the end of the mission.

Flamethrower is the best IMO. Hits really hard, made it through the Desert just fine, started by just killing everything and selling things in the town. After a couple runs you eventually just run into the thing where you charge the core, kill the boss in under 10 seconds with the flamethrower. Grab the stuff then port back to the city. When doing the date quest, after you choose a location, chase the Pink exclamation marker. Its the sub point to look for.

Stuck on the next break through, would like to be faster if I could.

On the 2nd breakthrough the big red zones literally cover the entire map about the 3rd time in, and I can't survive it no matter what I do. Its a touch one.
Did a bunch of dual cultivation, there isn't a cooldown and if you choose room its quickNeasy. If you don't do any of the smexy stuff you can quickly click through it and just power level your skills. Once I got my skills high enough it was a breeze. Don't forget to check out the city, the spiritual stuff makes the flamethrower much more powerful.

I've tried a good amount of the skills, but the flamethrower is the best at everything so far.

how do I get the materials for the second breakthrough, ive been searching

Any tips on where to get the gift for the lady? I assume that's how you start with the sexy stuff. I did a few runs in the desert, but I didn't see anything special drop. Agreed flamethrower is OP. For breakthrough materials just kill enemies and pick up the drops, it's random.

edit: apparently you can gift any random garbage, just right click an item and it will go into the gift window

You get them by dismantling high tier equipment (Brass and higher in quality), same as every breakthrough tier. Haven't figured out any higher breakthrough mats tho.

Also, make sure once you hit Golden Core stage to change the difficulty. For some godforsaken reason it can only be done on character select.

i have run desert 20+ times and can't get past core charging, please somebody drop a save after that
