Probably a little too early for an actual review but this was an interesting start. Got me invested enough to come back for sure. If I had to nitpick for feedback there's a few things that stuck out a bit. One: I think it would be nice if the action scenes got rendered out a bit more. Like even an extra shot or two of John flying over the railing and then falling into the water for example. In the same vein, some sound effects for stuff like the fight scene would do this a lot of favors.
This is smaller, but so far the game moves pretty quick. It's really not a problem right now since it's just getting going and all, but I think it would be beneficial to have moments where things slow down too. We get a black screen at the end of content talking about how the MC goes to rest and recuperate. I'd be interested in seeing it rendered out and maybe getting some insight on how he's processing his first kill and the whole situation. Maybe have a moment where he interacts with Strea during it too. Not that every mundane situation needs to be shown, but it gives moments to breathe and explore the characters a bit. Maybe that's already planned but wanted to put it out there anyway. Sometimes games move a mile a minute and end up suffering for it at a point.
