By copy the player's graphics, I meant introduce new animations/graphics involving selfcest or the other protagonist. Or, you could go the half player half monster route. This is of course to stay in the idea of her being a doppleganger. For balance, it is harder. I just gave some examples, but there are other approaches. Maybe make her stronger with physical damage when she copies a player and stronger with charm when she doesn't, or vice versa. Perhaps gives her a copy of the players stats, but a percentage lower. Like 10-25%? Just some ideas.I mean, she technically can just take player's graphics. A bit boring decision.
But anything like copy player stats can be way too OP, and half stats is way too weak
I tested it around a bit and its very hard to balance, she either oneshots you or you oneshot her.
So needs some other approach.
Brutal. I would say add in elements and such and give her resistances to certain things based of who she transforms into, but that might be too much.Perhaps she could inflict special "charm" debuff to whomever she transforms into, that halves that character damage output. Or maybe that debuff can make char weaker to certain things. You probably can tune it then depending how much impact you want doppel to make. Another idea is to make doppel only take damage from one she transforms into, also impactful/interesting I think.
I feel as though such a thing would be a boss, but she could work as a normal monster.Yeah it needs some interesting mechanical idea which wont make her annoying.
She is normal type monster after all~
