I can't agree on that. I finished my full playthrough in exactly 5h 47min and had like 139 saves, as I like to save quite frequently.
I have been thinking about this, if playtime is even the right metric for these types of games. I'd argue it's more about how often you come back, how many sessions you have, whether there are scenes worth revisiting. A shorter game you return to regularly beats a longer one you play once and forget.

Obviously YMMV depending on what you're into, but I'm curious: how's the replay value in your experience? What's your shot-counter?

Am I right in assuming that many people here want to get half a year of developer work for free?
And the developer just asks you to wait a week for his work to pay off?
well there are japanese indie hgame devs that manage to make their games in one full release and ask for one time payment and doesnt have patreon, so people expect and/or hope that someone that gets kickstarted from patreon matches or exceeds the work ethics/results from japanese indie hgame devs, specially i would assume that frisson gets 2000 or more after the cuts

Regarding the fact that $10-20 isn't a lot of money, I'd gladly support the developer. But I can't, even with a VPN. The payment isn't going through. For me, $1 is equivalent to $100 in local currency. That's a significant amount. Add in the cost of overcoming payments and using a VPN, and it turns out that for me, the value has to be commensurate to make it worth it. Yes, the game is cool and interesting, but it's annoying to scroll through the same actions over and over again that don't have any impact. I understand that development takes time and effort, which should be compensated for, but I'm not such a masochist that I'd have to overcome a million hurdles to pay for the game and then suffer through the grind.
So I'm sitting here hoping for heroes and wizards to post the link as soon as possible;)

Where do you live - Pakistan?
Most places I know translate money nearly the same way so it has a relatively relatable pricing in their currency.
Although I also believe that when you have sufficient money it is nice to be able to support such project... but all in all those games here are for the supporting/paying individual much more expensive than all tripleA games on steam for example. Thats kinda sad.

For me, a few dollars are much more valuable than even the US. That's why support for developers is not constant. Well, now the game has a lot of new variety, so you'll get to your goal faster. And the developers try to listen and solve things quite quickly. And I'm glad, for example, that sex isn't after a few scenes.

well, since apprently you don't know how currency works let me explain it to you, besides western countries, or capitalist countries, other currency has almost no values, now yes 20 dollars to 20 euro's isn't much, actually about 18-19 euro, for arab countries like kuwait, saudi, qatar, that's the same too, but for third world countries, that's a whole diffrent story, 20 dollars is almost a quarter of a person's salary, what is considered as lucn money in US, here, and other contries is a lot of money, yes the developer deserves every dollar, espesially since he's making a really good game, but if i support him with even just 3 dollars a month, that would be about a whole days work payment, especially for those who are paid minimum wage, since minimm wage is aboout a 100-110 dollars.
so when we ask for a link here in the comment, it isn't because we are cheap or because we don't want to support the develloper, it's because that's a lot of money to us, besides, this is supposed to be a piracy forum.
one last thing, the dev, this one especially deserves every penny, but unfortunatly, not everybody can

Mhhh, why do you assume I would not know how that works? That is why I was asking where he is from.
When he says in his case 1 USD translates to 100 USD that would mean in a month he would make something inbetween 8 and 15 Dollars, when we are talking minimum wage in my country, depending on working hours. There are not so many countries where you live from 10 dollars a month.

Even so it will not hurt you to wait like a few more days or even weeks when you can not afford it otherwise.

Yeah. And if you ask me, if you're making 10 bucks a month you've got bigger things to worry about than playing an EA porn game one week early. No offense.

Have you ever heard of PPP? Daily median income across the world is less than $10 a day. In some communist countries like Cuba people earn basically nothing in income but still have access to food, shelter and education.
But leaving that aside, I take offence on how you imply that the people living in poverty in third world countries have themselves to blame for their circumstances, when most people on this forum(including me) are lucky to be born in luxury, in a well established country and know nothing about the struggle of people who weren't so lucky.

Do we really need to have a political conversation here?

I come from a third-world country, and my childhood was better than JD Vance's. I'm just an ordinary citizen, not someone from a privileged class, so I believe that one's country of origin and economic situation are irrelevant.
