I have heard over time some things got changed and it "improved" apparently. But i see some stuff in the prologue still the same.
Why is Iris saying this to mc and then she is saying something completly different to Sophie? Why is she lying? I lost all interest for her. She went down in my eyes completely (and Sophie too tbh). Which one is the truth?
Edit: It's like after prologue it's a completely different game and with how they act and react. But still that prologue and some of the decisions that dev made and dialouges that he writed hurts the game more then it adds anything tbh because guys like me avoided the game. Still not interested in her. After i'm finished with the game will leave a review fs.

So what do we have here? We have nothing but misleading statements on patreon aimed for nothing but avoiding of a radio silence. Sometimes it resembles in a dervish dance style. Should a decent person close a show? Yes, definitely should. Are the dev team a decent person? I guess it’s a doubtful issue
I liked that this game was more VN than sandbox but now it is going more sandbox not sure if i'll like that i don't care much for sandbox games. To me sandbox is for people that want to play a game with story and VN is for ppl that like to read and control the story. I think it's a big mistake going more sandbox. I think i read that it will have both Sandbox and VN builds but that seems like it will make updates take longer to release. I think they should stick to current build and continue the story.
Not to mention in most H-games, sandbox/point & click elements only serve to pad the runtime, making you wander around and be at a specific location at the right time to see a certain npc or something, rendering an otherwise straightforward story unnecessarily longer with pointless interactions.
Sandbox only works with a healthy guide system. Otherwise it's absolutely rubbish.
Yeah not a fan of sandbox, havent played a whole lot of sandbox games but the few that I tried, I felt like they would be better without it. Although maybe it would make the lack of content more noticeable if the player isnt wasting his time clicking, going from place to place, repeating/farming, etc.

Some games are tagged sandbox, but are more less you click a place to go then it's pretty much a VN, example one with that tag is Being a DIK, it's VN and Sandbox, there are many games like that, the sandbox tag can be deceiving.
The true sandbox is going location to location, at certain times etc, the rest I wouldn't call a sandbox at all even though they have the tag.

Sandbox probably need much more content than VN, most of the location should have its own unique events even story sidelines.

Sandbox is a game with many different and often independent events, but they happen at the same time, so there is no one true story. You decide what the canon is. It is not a necessary requirement that there are several locations.
Being a Dik however is a relatively linear game, apart from which route and LI you choose, there is no real freedom of choice. That's why this isn't a real sandbox game but a VN. However, it is quite varied, as there are many LIs, all with unique scenes and stories. It is not without good reason that it is currently the most popular VN in this forum.
And Life in Santa County is more of a VN than a sandbox. The sandbox tagg is pretty watered down and doesn't apply at all in 90% of the games here.
