I didn't want to upset you... you seem upset. Well as far a Cosy Cafe, I played it from the beginning... liked it right away. And I have played plenty of sandbox games I did like... just yours is not one of them... sorry.

And this is not about VN vs Sandbox... both types can be bad or good... played plenty in both categories. You talk about giving you time to make the story good and make characters better. well that would imply that either your game will be better later in the storya, but what we have now will not change... or you would be one of those devs that has to redo his game later on. Both are unappealing.. would mean your first part of your game would be what it is now... or you would have to make people wait for new content while you fix the old content.

Look I am not trying to bust your balls here... I know making a game is no easy thing. And I wish you well. But if you want to have characters people will like... maybe fix them now before you are too far into the development process... just an idea.

No you did not, I simply disagree with the way you're phrasing it. Polishing the story to the existing questline and adding character's depth is as easy as removing the grind system by adding non-sexual interactions between H-scenes, which is the direction i'm taking now.
"But if you want to have characters people will like... maybe fix them now", see, this is the typical self-centered profile who thinks I have to fix anything.
No I don't, the game is having a great success and will remain as it is.

i think the dev made a smart move filling the game with h scenes first to attract supporters... they can work on the story when they please as long they have a following. this game is good and can't wait to see more

These people have 0 knowledge of how a market works. They think we can spend 70% of the workflow in the stroy telling, and the 30% remaining in the animations, giving you a total of 5 scenes as we reach the v0.7 instead of the actual 49 ones.
What a great feeling to see people like you having the absolute basic common sense on how the porn game industry works.

not sure how to feel about Lilianne now. her being the cute nun was a good attraction point. but the reveal was a bit of a let down.

Actually the reveal was predictable and logical. If they are trugly "pure" trey can't be corrupted. And if they're not? Well! Why not make it spicy? It's more fun this way.

Regarding Grind and Sandbox. I do not hate this in games per se. I hate bad Sandbox and bad Grind.
As a clarification. Grind can be entertaining and fun, or it can be boring and become a chore. The latter is bad. If you have to repeat the same task over and over again, no diversity and no felt progress. That is in my eyes bad grind. And it is no fun to play. I play games for fun. If a game feels like a chore, I won't play it, cos it is not my understanding of spending my spare time with chore gameplay. I have higher standards for myself and the games I play.
And this often comes along with bad Sandbox style games. If the Sandbox game is the way that you have to visit a specific location on a specific date at a specific time and there is no tell when this happens, it's bad Sandbox-Style. And most hated (I guess) if such events are needed to progress the overall story. If it's only a side story or something optional, I can overlook such style. But if you need the event to trigger to progress the whole story and trigger the next events, it's difficult to swallow. To be there at this time on this day, and I (the dev) will give you no hint at all, so it takes longer to find it and prolong the gameplay this way.
Combine both and you have an awful Sandbox game. (I forgot to mention the lack of story most of these bad Sandbox games have)
If the Grind has diversity to it, the Game gives you clues and hints when to be where, and you feel some kind of progression. If the grind tells you a story. That is totally fine with me, and I won't mind playing it. TBH, the majority of Sandbox games I tried for myself would be in between both of the extremes. But some of them I quit very soon because the updates increasingly shifted in a bad direction. I cannot appreciate a game when it feels like work to play it. And i guess that's what spoiled this type of game for numerous people.

I am not sure if this is accurate or subjectively correct, but it is what I have experienced and how I feel about Sandbox games with grinding elements.

Well, it's hard to tell if you have tried my game by reading your post. I see your personal taste on sandboxes but I don't see it on my game.
Anyway, most people love my game, but I still took the decision to eradicate the grind. The influences points are gone for the next version. the grind will tell a story, as you mentioned this method.

If you like history centered games thats right good for you , but when i play porn games i like the game part of them im tired of VN thats like read a book whit some porn scenes in here you people have to realize that some of us like the more arcade feel of games like these im bored of the VN also the majority of historys in them are more thrilled than the japanese whit theyr isekais so yeah i prefer games whit sandbox ( when they are good of course not the grindy ones ) so yeah come at me VN enjoyer im going to throw a porn book to your head XD .

I played your game, and I would say as many games, it is in between the extreme. Some parts I do like and some I find a little bothersome, but not enough to quit yet. My Post was more meant as a general statement regarding Sandboxgames.

Some Example outside VN/Porn games: I really enjoy playing 7 Days 2 Die. A pure Sandbox game with very little story. But the Progress and the Grind is worth the while. But on the Same, I get bored by it frequently. So I switched to more Story focused Games like baldus gate 3 (which has although sandbox elements, but they are in bedded in a quite deep and engaging story - and not the core mechanic, in contrast to games like 7 Days 2 Die)
Games like Factorio, Dyson Sphere Program can entertain me, but I could not spend months of spare time in a row on them, i occasionally play them for 10-20h (separated on multiple days/weeks) than I switch to some games more story related. I have played the Dragon Age Games, all three, for more than 3k hours. Multiple walkthroughs, and sometimes I sank 50 or more hours in a row in them because I was so enchanted with the story and the possibilities. But i never ever got to like Minecraft, The Sims and similar games like them. Or some Farming Sims.

I do not know if I could explain my thoughts and feelings to an understandable degree, but as a non-native that's the best I could do.

I have no idea what you are talking about. But just to clarify, I have played many Sandbox games I did enjoy, I enjoy a lot of different types of games. And Lifes Payback was not a bad game, just felt characters did not have much personality, so excuse me if I like a bit more than fucking robotic characters. I tried to make some suggestions about this, but the developer did not like that. So anyway... as far as you go... I could not care any less about your opinion. it is just a game. So can we just let it go?
