You're not far off, I'd say I spend a third or so on writing, post work and putting the images into the scene and adding transforms/animating them, so on it's slightly less, but the creating (not rendering out) of the scenes in daz is the biggest timesink by far.

Yeah. One of the things is that every property slider that gets added to your genesis figure by a product ends up being saved on it, and that can add up, especially as there's conflicts or errors in there I guess, that might be clogging up your log file with hundreds of lines for a character, which you'll never see or notice.
But I found one of the biggest time sinks in loading is LIE (layered image editor) stuff, where for instance you have tattoos added to a skin, or makeup. In daz, they end up as a layered image, and for some reason, those characters tend to load a lot slower (the LIE editor window itself is also pretty slow to load usually, so I guess that's related).
I have made up a tattoo in photoshop and added it to the toon after daz renders it. Working with the layer masks is quicker for me. Might have to warp it a bit to fit of course, but it's so much faster. Especially if you plan on using multiple LIE's to get the look you want.
You've probably tried that, and I certainly don't want to slow your progress by changing up the style you have...because it works & everyones waiting for more! :)

As italian I would like to add: "forte" is used also like the english meaning of "cool", when something is exciting or amazing.
Lo so! ;) It's basically an adjective that means strong, so if you think something is cool you can say it's strong or powerful and that it had an impact on you. So you would say "Forte!" if you thought something was awesome.

L'italiano, che bella lingua! :)

It was clear the dev isn't going to change the looks and he gives zero fucks about peoples complaints.
I have to admit that I waited a long time to play this game.
I looked at the thumbnails and decided it is not for me......... until I got bored.

Let me put it this way, it takes a while to get used to the look of the models.
But once you get into the story, you just start to fuckin love it.

It's the special look and the depth of the story that makes this game unique to me and I don't give a shit that you have to wait almost a year for another chapter.
I get gray hair and get old from sheer impatience, but if I have to, I will get myself a carer who downloads the update for me and plays it back as soon as it comes out.

The thumbs had me hooked right off the bat and I told the dev I'd break his legs if he gave in to the dimwits who wanted generic bimbos instead. Or something like that.

Well, at least I told him I loved them and begged him to keep them as they were. That's better than fuck-all, surely?

Has the dev announced any release date or any status about the latest update? Besides the image with the faces

I finally liked someone's post on this thread and I got a little loading screen saying "Loading Reactions," while loading the reply emoji. I am a little dyslexic and I could have sworn it said "Loading Erections" and I was WTF?

^--- This is why I don't write stories. After writing, I'm like well... that was riveting, but I am already invested in this post so ya'll still get to read it.

Nope.

Very few devs give out dates anymore. So many people whine when dates are missed we get vague graphs and told it will be ready when it's ready.
Heh, yeah. Tbh, I never gave out release dates ever until I knew I could make them, even when there was no one interested yet. That s##t always slips and even if I said that maybe there was a slight chance that it could be on X, people will still be all over you for having promised they'd have it on X.

Besides, while some might argue it's a great way to set a goal and force yourself to work towards it and limit yourself to what fits in that frame, I think that's great if you're on a budget, iterating on creating a consumer app, honing in on the best modifications for implementing some business software, or trying to hit that marketing window on budget for some electronic entertainment, but it's a terrible practice for creative writing, as you're pressuring yourself to cut out good stuff and go with something shitty that fits, just to hit that arbitrary date that serves little other purpose in my particular case.
There's plenty of other ways to make sure you stay on task and work towards finishing something than that. Plotting out the work and reporting about progress for instance.
