The game's good. In fact its one of the few I actually read everything closely. More releases would be great. If not then oh well, such is life an move on. That's how I take it.
This is one of the most self-entitled posts I have ever read. How you can have the attitude that any of these devs owe you anything at all is incredible and baffling to me, exactly who do you think you are ffs? Does someone force you to come here and play all these games for free, so you can jerk off? Do you think someone owes you a free nut? If you maybe had something practical to offer to devs to help speed up the process, maybe then I could understand, but it's all just bitching for the sake of bitching, and you literally add nothing but negativity to the thread. You sound like a typical incel.Because surrounding one self with yesmen and people who ardantly defend you doesn't help one creativity or development of progress. Sure, it's a nice thing to have, within moderation, yet having critic about the lack of content/updates/story/characters actually can, in some/rare as fucking occations, motivate a dev to get their ass in gear. Granted, with certain devs however, as we all know some around theses parts, thats not the case.
Me personally? Been a year plus since I last played, expected the updates to get shorter, maybe down to a reasonable 6-8 months. Apparently that ain't the case, hence why I, and many others it seems, have a completely valid issue with it. Hence why you have people making the claim of milking with Road, among other certain Devs. Whether warranted or not, devs are gonna get critisism on just about everything no matter what they say or do to explain things. It's the nature of the beast.
This almost made me choke on my coffee. Hilarioushence why I, and many others it seems, have a completely valid issue with it.
Satisfaction guaranteedHey topic change, what are you hoping to get out of this update?
Let's take this after the next one.Because surrounding one self with yesmen and people who ardantly defend you doesn't help one creativity or development of progress. (...)
True. There's always a risk of procrastination, dawdling, or digging a bigger hole for yourself in a big project like this, even for the most professional of devs. That's why the powers of development created sprints, and that's why I put out a weekly progress update, with all the planned scenes blocked out in an infographic, slowly closing up one at a time. Besides keeping fans informed, it helps instill a good feeling of urgency to complete during the entire development arch, because it's me having to answer for what I've been up to all week to all of you. You bet I'll be looking at that thing nervously every Wednesday, pushing to complete just as much as I can, and it works a treat.(...)Sure, it's a nice thing to have, within moderation, yet having critic about the lack of content/updates/story/characters actually can, in some/rare as fucking occations, motivate a dev to get their ass in gear. Issues, yeah. Valid, well that gave me a good chuckle, cheers.(...)Me personally? Been a year plus since I last played, expected the updates to get shorter, maybe down to a reasonable 6-8 months. Hmm, this takes a bit of unpeeling. So you're saying that criticism being right or wrong is irrelevant. It'll always be there so countering it with informed arguments is a waste of time. Is this a really circuitous ways of saying "this my 'pinion bro, don't bother me with facts."?(...)Hence why you have people making the claim of milking with Road, among other certain Devs. Whether warranted or not, devs are gonna get critisism on just about everything no matter what they say or do to explain things. It is, to me, sadder than it is funny: "I have arbitrarily decided that the ideal release cadence for all games is 6 months and anyone that doesn't accept my gratuitous assertion is a fanboi".This almost made me choke on my coffee. Hilarious
Well said. I was thinking about HalfLife 3, or it's non-existence, just the other day!It is, to me, sadder than it is funny: "I have arbitrarily decided that the ideal release cadence for all games is 6 months and anyone that doesn't accept my gratuitous assertion is a fanboi".
If only we had heros like this helping us to wring HalfLife 3 out of Valve. Oh well...
More cumming on Denise's assHey topic change, what are you hoping to get out of this update?
Me too. I was like "Sure, you have. I just wonder, what's "valid" about it and how did you come to that conclusion, based on which presumptions?" smfhThis almost made me choke on my coffee. Hilarious
Lots ofHey topic change, what are you hoping to get out of this update?
*Sigh...* Half-Life 3..Well said. I was thinking about HalfLife 3, or it's non-existence, just the other day!
Tbh if You'd said that 'bout 99% of games here, I'd say you're overprotective fanatic... but in case of this game I can do nothing but totally agree.I usually just lurk, don't really post much. Just want to put my two cents in the ring.Nearly every porn game takes ages to put out an update and usually they have very little content. The quality also ranges wildly from 1 to 10/10. I would argue that the bell curve leans to 3 or 4/10 updates. Every update Naughtyroad put out has been a 10/10. If this pace creates masterpiece level quality, then it's more than worth the wait. As Aurelius said above, it's worth replaying the game when an update comes out, and enough time lapses between updates that the game isn't stale.
tl;dr
good things come to those who wait
