. And now that I've passed the hurdle of the first update, I wanted to give you a heads-up on what is to come next.
First of all, I'm announcing the switch to a consistent bimonthly (the "twice a month" kind, not "once every two months") release schedule. Expect the next update to be exactly two weeks from now.

I'd left most of the settings on default when I launched it, but I've since read up on how the whole thing works so I'm changing the tiers from $3/$5/$15 to $1/$3/$20 (the prices may vary depending on the region, I haven't actually figured out how the whole thing works). Patrons will be getting their updates at the beginning of each second week rather than close to its end.
Thirdly, and this is regarding the actual content of the game - you may notice that almost none of the new encounters in this update are conditional (i.e. most of them are available by default and don't arise as consequences of your actions in previous days). This kind of goes against the core design principles that I'd espoused previously, so I wanted to address it. The game is still in its early stages, and while I was able to sandwich some conditional encounters in the initial release, introducing new NPCs and playable characters through updates is a different beast entirely. The process of change is going to be gradual, but let me assure you that these are just growing pains, and that each of the following updates will have more focus on your actions and their consequences. The next update will have two conditional encounters, the one after will have three, then four... I don't know if I'll go past four yet. My goal is to raise the number of encounters to more than double the number of NPCs, but first I need to actually introduce characters, playable and not, to have them interact in plausible scenarios.
