Overall, I had a good amount of fun trying Lilith’s Descent, but I still had some notes I had from my recent playthrough:
Realistically, the bath encounter feels pointless from a gameplay perspective in its current state if different shampoos do not stack. Even with a 200 pheromone rating, I was able to get the buff and leave without an encounter. The tunnel encounter has a similar issue in that it feels near impossible for the pursuer to do anything before you can deal with them, if they even get in range at all.
The Wall Duress being able to bind so easily and without cooldown or setup is pretty obnoxious. In one particularly annoying situation, my Journey was disabled for 7 consecutive turns. The only thing keeping them from being a menace is that they have very low health and agility for a solo encounter, making them easy to deal with before they do anything barring unlucky misses.
You might want to be more liberal with status effect resistance. After restarting with the Brigit test, I was able to easily level my party from level 1 to their low teens within two floors just from killing empowered goblin faction enemies. Being able to trip, airborne, and disarm them so consistently and at such low costs trivialized the massive differences in stats while their defense was overcome with dot effects.
Similarly, you might want to be more liberal with elemental resistance and spread them among enemy parties. Regular encounters quickly devolve into AOE spam once you get a few celestial fruits. I recommend you place a cap on how many consumables you can hold as well. Resource management goes out the window pretty fast once you get past the initial hurdle and are able to spam heal to full after every fight. This exacerbates the issue of aoe being the name of the game outside of boss encounters.
Grabs aren’t very threatening unless you’re running a one-character vanguard party, and resolve honestly isn’t particularly very important. The sole exception I saw was the Dithinion’s grab, which removed characters from the fight entirely. The ability for party members to still use items (even offensive ones) while fucked and for party members to be able to still support them normally combined with with the generally low impact of sex/cum status effects keeps consequence minimal. Arrow of Liberation and True’s own innate resolve regen lowers its worth further.
I’m assuming that this is due to some mechanics being unfinished or unimplemented (pheromones don’t seem to affect anything but bathing and servitude doesn’t seem to do anything at all), but I’ll still recommend having both more numerous and more impactful side effects. In particular, I’d recommend having status effects tied to groping as well instead of just from actual sex or being exposed to cum. The game could use some methods to wear the party down over the course of the run so that you’re not starting most fights at full or near full power. To this end, I’d also recommend allowing the rape of downed party members and having this potentially result in the party member being captured and removed (similar to the effect of failing the Wall Duress QTE) and/or having even more debilitating status effects applied.
