I don't know about you, but I was talking about Innoxia and game development this entire time. I'm going to make my points relative to this game, as usual. You made claims and I'm going to challenge all of them, within context. Please don't, responding to this kind of thing is very tiresome. And it's also completely off-topic for this thread.
Yes, but on your part. We're done here.Semantics and derailment.
Dude, you not having any arguments isn't my fault. I tried being decent, but you clearly don't want a good faith discussion.Yes, but on your part. We're done here.
It mimics the form of addiction-dependent business. Like, with tobacco and alcohol? Porn has that kind of hold on people, causing them to makes these illogical decisions of which you speak.I think we can agree that Innoxia is not your standard business woman and her donators are not your standard customers. In the (indie) porn industry, at least in my experience, there is more money than brains. This means the way businesses are generally managed may not apply here (or at least not entirely anyway). Let's be honest, her business stratagem sucks and she makes a lot of mistakes, but it works because porn tends to bypass logic, especially when the "product" being delivered as no real competition.
Yeah. You'd do it the same way you would as with any other MC. Nothing's frozen.is the a way to import a charctor but still edit styuff when starting new game
like say i saved alaexandra can i import and edit her stats
See, the frustrating part for me is that I think Inno has the first two of those.... no business plan, no clear development path, and no real obligation to deliver a product.
Quoted for truth.*If someone picks making a furry porn game as their business venture, it's a safe bet to say they're doing it because they want to make a furry porn game, not because they want to make piles of cash.
This is where I think the LT community have got their relation/interaction with Innoxia all wrong - or at least the part of the community that want to see ongoing development of the game. Instead of trying to 'obligate' her (big stick) a better approach would be to 'incentivise' her (carrot). The big stick leads directly to more depression and less game development, at least as far as I can tell.See, the frustrating part for me is that I think Inno has the first two of those.
She has a stated plan to create a text-based RPG with a central storyline, then to add side content indefinitely. That's a solid plan, she's just refusing to stick to it. If she can get the central game finished - so, main quest done and the code in a state that additions can be reliably added without breaking everything - she'll be in a position to respond to requests/demands for particular content by pointing to her Subscribestar and mentioning the upcoming poll to decide what new feature or quest should be added to the game. That is, she'll have a core of subscribers that give her a steady income stream with a genuine incentive (ie. subscriber input) to attract new subscribers. She'll be picking between a selection of projects - any of which she would be enthused about and happy to work on - instead of staring into a black hole called "all that stuff I've got to do".
As things stand ATM though, what she's created is a system where she continually works on content that doesn't get her any closer to her goal for the sake of appealing to and appeasing a group of people (ie. Discord) who don't seem to care about her goal. Then she gets depressed that she isn't achieving her goal and takes a break from working towards it. Which - like most of the various manifestations of depression - just makes things worse.
This is exactly where many modern businesses are going wrong, right now; I have to deal with this in an MMORPG I currently play as well, where people who don't care about the game are driving it off the rails with requests and demands that do nothing to promote the game's health whatsoever. Just like in this community, the requests are usually superficial, pointless ideas that appeal to literally 2 people in the entire community; the developers cater to them, thinking it's what everyone wants and then can't figure out why people aren't interested in their game. The answer is that developers are not listening to the core (they think they are); they are listening to the people who don't even play the game itself for the most part and have no investment into it. And in addition to that, the core audience doesn't even bother voicing themselves against most of these ideas, so the developers are only hearing one perspective and that perspective is never criticized or challenged.[What is] created is a system where she continually works on content that doesn't get her any closer to her goal for the sake of appealing to and appeasing a group of people (ie. However it started that is more or less the situation we are now in.they grab the stick...development slows down...unhappy peope...stick...slowdown......
