yeah sorry to say but this would be the biggest waste of money you could ever have. the game isn't even close to being done, the customisation involved is all flavour text that means nothing, and there are still placeholders in the first area for quests that should already be there. then there's the problem of memory usage, and this is all without mentioning the fact that the game has hardly changed in the last three years. so, yeah, i doubt this would get anywhere near steam. if you want a game like this but much better with regular updates on steam i would suggest Corruption of Champions 2.

Or they'd just make you do a super secret patch off the workshop or something.
I don't see why not given Overgrown and Claire's Quest were accepted (made by another developer whose name I forgot, you can find them here). Both games have (MC) rape, CQ in particular has that plus shota and bestiality... unless they cut off certain fetishes just to make the cut to Steam.
(I apologize if this post gets doubled, F95 has been running like ass for me for the past few days with a ton of connection issues, data errors, extreme loading times and "maintenance" posts...)

yeah, that game's got ridiculous amounts of rape in it and that's being sold on steam like no one's business. thanks to our lord and saviour SsethTzeentach, Evenicle has been seen as nothing less than the holy grail for rape games on steam. truly, a better, brighter future we could never find.

Honestly, these delays don't really bother me as much (aside from having something to talk about). At least she now warns people to take her estimations with a grain of salt. Most of the time. Which is better than it used to be...

Decided to pick this up again for the weekend, updated from v3.20 and started over but now I'm running into the "can't import custom character art due to AccessDeniedException" thing again and can't remember for the life of me what the workaround was. Searching is no help either, unless I'm just not coming up with the right search terms. Was it something in folder settings?
Probably something dumb like running the game as administrator, because this seems like the kind of game that would require that. And also the kind of game I would absolutely not trust with administrator rights on my computer.
The weird thing is, I still have my 3.20 in another folder. That can import art just fine, and as far as I can tell it's not set to run as administrator (which I find encouraging as I would definitely prefer not to do that). What did past me do to it? Who knows!
I guess I can always go back to the Strive games when I get tired of this again though, so it's not a huge deal.

Remember how I said that Nashorn isn't available in versions of Java after 15? I lied.
Turns out it was just rolled into a Maven package, much like JavaFX. It's mostly a drop-in replacement, and performance seems to be…well, as good as we've come to expect.
When OpenJFX 17.0.2 comes out (since there's a bug in the current release build of OpenJFX 17 that impacts M1 Macs) I'm going to open a PR for this. It might be a bit of a long shot, but this branch is going to make LT much easier to build, especially on non-Windows platforms, and will allow it to break away from Java 8.

This led me on a wild journey through antivirus submenus, thinking I'd found the problem in ransomware shield permissions only to find that did nothing anyway, then realizing that it actually depends on which images in my LT image folder I try to import. JPGs with seemingly identical permissions and settings, too. So it's not the old problem I thought it was; might be something went wrong when I dragged a bunch of files from my D&D folder. At least some of them work, I'll take it.
EDIT: Okay, weirdly, when I went into res->images->characters->generic and deleted everything to get rid of the random other images I'd attached to characters just now while seeing what worked, suddenly the non-functioning images can be imported now. I think the folders I purged had some junk tmp files in there or something, might have been messing it up.
Yeah, he's working on both Strive 2 and some other game that looks discontinued on itch but has apparently still been worked on on discord this whole time IIRC. And S2's updates can be pretty beefy when they do happen, as these games go. (I really want to be impatient about getting more household management content soon, but at least he updates.)
I'd still kill for more viable alternatives that hit that sweet spot of highly customizable monster collecting, being able to import your own art, and being able to waste time building up a household/base/business/whatever and go adventuring with those characters though. As LT's schedule gets worse there's not really anything else I've found to pick up the slack.

For all the flaming it gets I think people (including myself) keep coming back because there's just not many games like this (CoC, I guess?), especially as so many bases are covered (even if thinly). At least Newlife is still around to make this game look practically brisk and regular in its content additions no matter how bad it gets.

Yeah, the uniqueness of Lilith's Throne is the only thing the game still has going for it at this point. The second someone manages to replicate even half of the stuff that works in this game, Innoxia is going to be looking at a huge loss of subscribers.
