my jar file won't run. Windows OS, fresh download, both latest and recommended version of java. any help?

Likely installed them wrong, make sure to put them in a folder inside the folder. If not might be a version that no longer works.

Sometimes you can get it to work with an older .exe, if not the moded one exists
1 or 2 versions ago Inno updated the game to support Java 17 and it seemed to break quite a few mods. Not every mod was affected, but a fair number were affected and having those outdated mods would crash your game randomly. Best thing you can do is look for updated versions of the mods you use and add mods back in 1 or 2 at a time and see how things go for you.

It's also got more visual contrast, with the neon-green axe and all.
So, when I try and boot up the game with an older version of java it tells me it can't find system32\data or system32\src and if I continue it opens the game's main menu but won't let me interact with anything within the application

bruh how the fuck do I play this game? I downloaded the game and JDK 17, and I can't find the LT.exe or LilithsThrone.jar.

Yes, but that type of counter argument was already covered in my post - I didn't say it was all in place and ready to go right now with public models. The typical dismissal of AI use in future for whatever role is oddly always based on the now, a total short sighted strawman, but tries very hard not to look to the looming scary tomorrow. It really is short sighted, like someone seeing an early personal computer in the 70s and thinking it'll go nowhere and just a fad because it can't do much right now in their mind. Same with many other industrial or machine revolutions through time in whatever niche. The rate of development and progress of AI is astonishing and only getting faster and more amazing results. It's simply a question of time as it's obvious there's no reason for it not to move into the scene. Why wouldn't it?
Same with normal online content creation (YT, news, whatever), streamers, etc. AI will be a huge factor in all forms of entertainment and will grow rapidly with time. There will always be a place for hand crafted art but it will be like buying hand made furniture now.
It will be used in all forms of marketing, propaganda, government services, commercial services, intelligence, etc. The investment in this is the new bonanza. Because in the end there's no reason not to do it. At least as far as the owners and users of it are concerned.

With how long this response is and the shoutout to the Industrial Revolution (which was the worst thing to happen to humanity, btw), I feel as if you were looking for an opportunity to type this out.
But ultimately I think it's kind of impractical to try and package Stable Diffusion/some other imgen solution into a game as bloated as this one. It'd be a niche and arbitrary expansion of system requirements (or arguably a bit more accurate since this game hates potatoes to begin with lol). Even having some connecting to some remote way to do this (Stable Horde) would probably be too much a sell since you'll be basically adding a way to stream files to a client in real-time, which even ignoring the latent paranoia of a smut game connecting to the internet, to me feels like a significant security risk.
If someone really wants to generate their own portraits, they're probably best off going out of their way to do so instead of counting on native support ever being added.

Actually if your willing to mess with it, and use some of the more stylized models and tone in the restraints you can get fairly consistent results. Here is a link to one that I saw that fit to a style fairly well.

Know if models from that sight could be used elsewhere? The content rules are ridiculous: Nothing requiring a licenses. No pets. No gore or death. No fun.
