I'm sure that Innoxia is genuinely disappointed with not being able to meet her deadlines but she needs to find someone else to work with so that there's less stress on her. Girl has a serious martyr complex, as someone with anxiety problems I beat myself up over not being able to finish something but it happens every fucking time.

The thing is, from the customer's perspective, it shouldn't matter if she is genuinely disappointed in herself or not.

Like, it's been 4+ years of this. The fact that she hasn't done anything to to rectify it indicates that she is perfectly content with being genuinely disappointed in herself and as unprofessional as possible.

Either that, or she's not actually that disappointed. (I can't really judge that, because I usually try to fix problems as soon possible, so my perspective is inherently different)

But the result is the same. Development is at 10% of its normal speed.

I don't care, not because it doesn't effect me, but because I alone can do nothing to change it and have no choice but to just sit back and watch as people I know gush over their waifu gacha games they toss entire paychecks at.

That's a very sad way to look at the world. If enough people make a fuss then things can change. I remember there being a story about that that went vaguely "people don't stand up even if everyone wants to because no one else knows the others want to stand up" or something like that. If you make yourself heard and encourage others to care then more and more will join the cause. If everyone thought like you then there will be zero resistance. I think it's moral to atleast try and say something about something you feel strongly about rather than believe that you don't have power.

There is only so long you can speak out and be ignored before you give up, because at that point you realize that the majority of people don't want it to change. They're happy with how things are, and to change things would take away from their current happiness.

In my full time job, if i miss a deadline by 3+ consecutive times and in a consistent manner throughout the span of several years, it'll be a miracle if i don't lose the job by the end of the first year and got blacklisted by other similar companies and headhunters.

I'm all for respecting that she is human, but if she isn't posting updates she should freeze payments. letting them continue to pay her but not providing content is a big part of why so many of us are so criticizing her. Honestly, if she did do that, people would probably be a lot more sympathetic of her mental health issues, but instead it just looks like she is making excuses.

Game has been functionally in Dev hell for ~3 years.
Coincidently ~3 years ago the Dev proudly announced this game was now profitable enough to be her full time job so quit her other job.
Dev was always weeks late on updates, but ~3 years ago that became months.
Then Dev stopped talking to anyone outside her carefully curated Discord echo chamber.
Then Dev started padding her already anemic updates with fanmods.
All the while claiming stress, negativity, mental health months, fancy vacations, writers block, and code revisions.
Currently her contributions to the updates are ~5 hours of code, ~5 hours of writing.
And has been for years.

Also doesn't help when she goes on month long gaming binges and brags about it in her Discord.

The games progress is currently 1 of 7 chapters and 1st chapter was finished about 5 years ago.


TLDR: She learned she can milk the paypigs.
TLDR: Why is this thread so negative? She bans anyone who negatively comments. This is where they end up. Fluff her ego or get banished to the Shadowrealm.

From what I've seen on the changelog, it seems that most of the update consist of just bug fixes, gameplay changes and mod(?) stuff.

In terms of playtime, how short/long is it to explore all the game has to offer? I don't have any knowledge of the game and I just discover this from another thread.

I got bored and started a new game recently, it took me ~10hrs to complete the main story, side missions, and explore the world map. You could probably tack on another hour if you decide to complete the romance quests; I skip them because the romance options don't appeal to me.

It definitely does. If someone can't deliver on a deal out of incompetence, they most likely are in a rough spot as well. If it's with malicious intent, they're slurping a cocktail while lying on a hammock somewhere in the Bahamas as they ensure you it's being worked on. It's the difference between being pitiful and punchable.
