oh boy... cant wait for A.I. assisted coding, i am interested on whatever is the reasoning why the infamous devs who work on their hobbies for 5+ years on this board will be, why they wont use the tool....

probably something akin the artists on twitter whining "it makes me look bad" and "its doing my work in a fracture of time, this is bad"...

The idea sounds amazing.
The thing with A.I. looks good from perspective of a person who doesn't know anything. However people who mastered programming tells that A.I. creates code prone to bugs and errors. That's why it's only good as entry level programmer. Of course you cannot detect it unless you have learned it.

Can't run lt_0.4.7.5_pr.jar

Edit: Got Java 8 up to date (v361), and JDK SE 19 installed and active.

Previous releases worked ok (non EXE versions), but this one won't start. Even tried switching my AV off.

hi im new to this site and i just wanna ask how do you install the update of this game i tried to delete the old version and download the new one but the file of the new one only give me the patch but not the .exe. if anyone knows how to update this, please help. thank you :)

While her apology rant is understandable given her utter failure at keeping her own schedule, I have a big feeling that even if she turned to weekly posting, it wouldn't be any better than more delay posts to scroll through. As long as she keeps building on the burning dumpster which is engine that she made, the game's future isn't going anywhere bright. It needs a complete rewrite at some points, and the more content Inno loads on the game the longer it will take for a total makeover in the future.

People will use AI assisted programming. Some already do. The issue with it, as other people have said, is that it's far from even being decent. After AI generated images became a thing, a lot of new games came out of nowhere and the same thing will happen when AI gets better at coding. The issue is and always will be - scaling. While an AI will give you the code for a merge sort or the JS for a green button, it will never be able to understand architecture, not when it comes to thousands and tens of thousands of lines of code.

Essentially all 'games' would be just like Lilith's Throne: a buggy, laggy mess.

This is not to say that if you're a programmer, you know it's easier to write something from scratch than to try to debug someone else's code

does anyone care enough about this game's plot or setting to rescue it? personally i only play it for the porn and customization. if a clone(for lack of a better word) had those functions and worked even slightly better i know i'd abandon this game in a heartbeat

Never say never, but yeah, current AI sucks at planning ahead. It cannot tell a joke longer than few sentences.
I've used ChatGPT for code and while it gives solutions for small, contained problems, when the problem becomes larger or involves some kind of analysis, it fails.

AI aside, are there any good mods for LT out there? The base game is not doing it for me. Any suggestions are fine.

I mean the actual plot and world building are pretty interesting imo and seem pretty well thought out, it's a shame we'll never see them actually fleshed out with Innoxia at the wheel, at least in our life time. Though tbh, I think the game's story would be a lot more interesting where instead of being the typical isekai protagonist where everything goes our way, we would actually have to struggle (at least a little...) to earn what we get. We live in a fucking mansion, our aunt basically let's us do whatever we want, police can't even touch us because of our Aunt, and we have apart of lilith's soul or something in us that lets us fuck whoever we want.
