Then sorry, but you have to check your memory, no offense. Because even on the dev's changelog, there is balance changes literally every version up to release, and only in one of the latest ones, was added cap to one of the curses (and probably in some versions before that to others, I haven't checked all of the latest ones). I could end it here, since you clearly don't know what you are talking about, but I'll explain further.
I've played Ska from right after the art update, and dropped some update before it's official release. The difference in balance is huge compared to release version. If you've played those versions by yourself, not in my life I would believe you got good corruption run without guide or help.

Each curse always gave you debuffs, what when stacked, literally soft locked you, especially combining that with corruption, you basically could have been trapped in a loop of "Aura wakes up - day skips - she skip world exploration because drug/sex/just cause she wants/etc". you had to manage those damn mana crystals all the time and optimize your exploration to that. You needed apples not to fuck up, and buy services/items in time, cause game won't let you do that later normally, what again, could just softlock you. If you've tried to play non easy mode what killed you for corruption overflow? - good luck pal, we'll write that on your grave.
If you wanted to play more or less casually, by yourself (shocking for a porn game, right?), you would miss A LOT of stuff, what is... not really cool, this is corruption game, and when those corruption parts are skipped, or heavily punish your progression - it's a flaw
You could have missed A LOT of IRL corruption scenes if you didn't follow the exact path dev planned (I guess that was the reason? Because multiple runs I had her full max corruption for the version, and I always had multiple locked scenes from previous "corrupt stages", what in release version wasn't the case)
Up in the thread, when we discussed the poor balance in game days and how much you need to do in them, and what you CAN NOT just casually keep up with everything AND roleplay corruption how you like (Like you know, it was possible in release version of... SKA for example

), dev said what you don't need to (it would be true,
only if you know exactly what you need to do, like it was in SKA before release, with piss poor balance), and he worries about game days be enough for corruption, if you don't play overly stupid.
So if you can't corrupt AND play the game normally, and by yourself you pretty much can't, unless you have prior experience in those types of rpg games - you play overly stupid in devs eyes. So fuck you stupid player ig, if you can't roleplay corruption ON THE EXPLORER MODE, where uncapped curses from SKA changed to days, and it seems, uncapped raising treatment cost on top of it (I'm didn't test that, but there is no mention of the cap of it). It might be the problem for now, since we kinda have day limit, but still - it is in there
Oh, and funny thing is - he did changed a small part of it in his next update, so explorer mode would be easy, so you could roleplay more easily

(what were meant to be for casual players, what we discussed, what is making his retarded contradictory statement looks even weirder). And he even said what he twiked clause random a bit, so it wont throw you so much garbage (it still does, but less)
BUT, that is why, seeing some good changes (even if small) especially seeing SKA's release, I still think what over two years, dev will manage to get his head out of ass, and we indeed will get pretty decent and interesting game
