I don't plan to work with "real" animation (only very simple frame tweening, screen panning, stuff like that) for Liora.
And honestly, probably not as long as I'm working with RPGMaker or any engine that lacks native animation support or else I go crazy over dealing with variation support.
We do have some extra budget assigned to some level of (partial) voice acting on the other hand. How far we will go there is not yet clear though.
Wow, you're thinking about doing voice acting... For all the dialogue in the game, or just the “important” parts?
Anyway, I just came here to say:
What an incredible game! You deserve every penny you earn, buddy, your game is awesome.
I can feel all the passion you've put into it.
It's been a long time since I've played a game of such high quality (although your previous game was also good, I wasn't a fan of the “high school” setting so didn't play it again).
Now, here are a few points I think could be improved:
- Being able to choose to leave without Edgar? At the beginning, he doesn't serve much purpose and is more of a KS than anything else... Or else make him a little more useful.
- Being able to revoke a contract: Either with another contract of equal or greater value, or by paying a price?
I had contracts that canceled each other out, so I was unable to access the masturbation scene on my first attempt. I made a wiser choice on my second attempt .
- Being able to negotiate with an “immediate” price. I'm obviously thinking of the date/masturbation scenes.
- 15 days is really not enough... By cheating, I was able to see the “complete” scenes (at least I think so), and they're really worth seeing... 30 days seems better to me.
In any case, congratulations on your game, it's extraordinary! The programmation, the design, the feeling, the artist... Everything is great. Congrats.
