Really?

Typically I don't mind the game being leaked here a bit early but it hasn't even had the first fixes applied yet. It was released 2 days ago.

I just don't understand what you have to gain from doing this? If your objective is to hurt the developer then yes, you have succeeded. Otherwise what do you stand to gain?

This isn't even just financial, there are so many issues with the alpha patch that it bleeds into reputational damage as well because most players pick up the game, play what's there then move onto the next thing and what's there isn't what I want to be public facing.

It's not fair mate.
i dont think people will stop supporting on pat for a leak.
i for one wont.
thank you for the best game ever created.
and yes its wrong to do so.

yep, also im from brazil, here i would have to pay 108,46 because Dolars are not very kind on Real in Brazil so... cant do it.
There are also many places on the planet where not only the course is not profitable, but it is simply impossible to pay for subscriptions or games posted on many platforms.

It's funny how the attitude towards piracy (on the pirate forum) differs from topic to topic. In one you will be instantly bombarded with dildos, but here I see more comments in the spirit of “we’ll wait for the release.” What an amazing phenomenon.
Many people would happily pay for the content, including me, I have no problem throwing a hundred bucks at a couple of decent games. However, developers should remember that this does not always depend on desire. There are also payment systems and idiots in suits. And crazy Australian women.

I love PG, but F95 is a pirate site where leaks are the main propouse, for poor ppl like me , that leak is PURE GOLD, so im sory PG, u are my fav dev and i understund your anger, but more ppl like Gizz05 in this forum plz!
You can afford to wait a few weeks, no matter how poor you are. Especially as this isn't even a finished release. Can't wait for people to come back posting about how things are missing or broken.

everybody has a point. its hard to wait for a release and also it sucks for the developer to get his content leaked i think there will always be a divide here.
This isn't even ready for public consumption, though, as Palegrass has already made clear. Also, it isn't hard to wait for a dev that has done nothing but do everyone on here nothing but good by communicating and making a great game. Just selfish fucks everywhere.

All of you seem to have missed the point of discussion then or simply do not want to acknowledge it. No one is berating piracy or downplaying one's ability to "afford" supporting devs or not. What people were trying to highlight was "having patience" and waiting for an official release merely days from now.

If you still can't grasp the why of it- imagine this: One day PG wakes up and realizes he is putting in the effort and is getting the love, but is failing to make any decent money out of it. I mean that is why people work in this world, no? To afford a decent living?

So, what do you think will happen? Will he:
  • Decide to continue working but lose passion and motivation slowly overtime and just try to get to the finish line for the sake of it?
  • Retain passion, but drastically scale back update frequency and focus on smaller, higher-impact content because he stops treating the project as a full-time job as it can’t support one- re-framing Lisa as even a more longer-term, part-time passion project?
  • Decide to adopt a fiercely aggressive DRM?
  • Decide to abandon it cause the bills and workload is just not worth it?
Which one of this outcome is worth it in your eyes? I mean all you who keep saying "PG you are my favorite dev" and "Lisa is my favorite/top game.", can scream it from the rooftops. Hell you can even hide behind, "it's a piracy form, so get over it" argument. But it doesn't change the fact that the project is alive purely on the support of paying fans and you get to enjoy it for free in exchange for a small measure of wait. In short, if paying backers go away, Lisa goes away. Simple as that.

PS: I'm from India btw- a very developing economy, and I've a very unstable job too. I wish I could support my favorite devs, but currently I can't. So don't take my statement as someone looking down on you folks. Just like you, I also depend on F95 to sample games. I just don't want to see an Abandoned tag on games, and if I can help a game avoid that by just being patient, it's a very cheap price to pay. Some might even say it's free :Kappa:

here is my unofficial Android port of Lisa - Silence In The Rain v3.3.0A.
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
minimum system requirements: Android 8.0

you can toggle the "Slow Text" plugin in options.
if you don't want the autosave to happen with every map transfer, disable it in options.
contrary to the PC release there are 5 rotating autosave slots at the end of the file list.

have fun and please report problems (you can reach me ).

I think that in the past there was more respect for PaleGrass and his game, so much so that it never leaked, following its course until it became free.

It must also be said that development times have changed, becoming longer and increasing people's expectations.

So my advice, dear friend paleGrass , is to reduce the time between the maximum Deviant level and the free level, because two weeks is too long; many developers manage it in 7 to 10 days.
