I love PG, but F95 is a pirate site where leaks are the main propouse, for poor ppl like me , that leak is PURE GOLD, so im sory PG, u are my fav dev and i understund your anger, but more ppl like
Gizz05 in this forum plz!
yep, also im from brazil, here i would have to pay 108,46 because Dolars are not very kind on Real in Brazil so... cant do it.
There are also many places on the planet where not only the course is not profitable, but it is simply impossible to pay for subscriptions or games posted on many platforms.

... developers should remember that this does not always depend on desire. There are also payment systems and idiots in suits. And crazy Australian women.
All of you seem to have missed the point of discussion then or simply do not want to acknowledge it. No one is berating piracy or downplaying one's ability to "afford" supporting devs or not. What people were trying to highlight was "having patience" and waiting for an official release merely days from now.
If you still can't grasp the why of it- imagine this: One day PG wakes up and realizes he is putting in the effort and is getting the love, but is failing to make any decent money out of it. I mean that is why people work in this world, no? To afford a decent living?
So, what do you think will happen? Will he:
- Decide to continue working but lose passion and motivation slowly overtime and just try to get to the finish line for the sake of it?
- Retain passion, but drastically scale back update frequency and focus on smaller, higher-impact content because he stops treating the project as a full-time job as it can’t support one- re-framing Lisa as even a more longer-term, part-time passion project?
- Decide to adopt a fiercely aggressive DRM?
- Decide to abandon it cause the bills and workload is just not worth it?
Which one of this outcome is worth it in your eyes? I mean all you who keep saying "PG you are my favorite dev" and "Lisa is my favorite/top game.", can scream it from the rooftops. Hell you can even hide behind, "it's a piracy form, so get over it" argument. But it doesn't change the fact that the project is alive purely on the support of paying fans and you get to enjoy it for free in exchange for a small measure of wait. In short, if paying backers go away, Lisa goes away. Simple as that.
PS: I'm from India btw- a very developing economy, and I've a very unstable job too. I wish I could support my favorite devs, but currently I can't. So don't take my statement as someone looking down on you folks. Just like you, I also depend on F95 to sample games. I just don't want to see an Abandoned tag on games, and if I can help a game avoid that by just being patient, it's a very cheap price to pay. Some might even say it's free
