really good changes overall. i think those two are the only ones i personally disagree with. stray incubus cause it's good for now, but who knows if the new devs will be any good so the game is kind of in limbo for now. cross realms i think the animations are maybe only solid and not amazing like some of the others up there. but i think it makes up for it by having probably the best still renders and story other than eternum.

Once in a Lifetime should remain A. It got kind of rushed towards the end and the graphics are starting to show its age.

Sicae is on a 2 year hiatus. I would wait a year to see if its still on track to come back before bumping it up imo.

I feel like the list is based on merit instead of happenstance, if Pale Carnations is Tier S but OIALT isn't then there's something wrong according to you since they're both HS1 and both games look rough compared to modern.

I agree with the Cross Realms rating decrease though, the animations in particular look like stock HS animations, I don't even look forward to any sex scenes in that game and instead look forward to the story advancing.

For Stray Incubus...I would probably wait on the rating increase, yes the game is currently good but the early parts are not, the game looks unpolished and more like a passion project being worked on once a year. There's also the threat of the game becoming worse with the new devs. I'd hold off on that until they've proved themselves competent if not it stays at B, B+ at most.

I'm biased against NiiChan's work so I aint gonna talk about that.

based on this principle, many devs have gone unnoticed, such as the dev of new horizon, who was lucky enough to gain some recognition, but it is clear what would have happened if he had not taken off

Even so,I think it still has one of the best stories over all hs games,and even if the animations are 30 fps slide show,they are made way better compared to many others It's also a great starting point to bring people to avns,but I also agree it still looks a bit outdated as of 2025

PC is such a good game, for me one of the best on the site

PC and Ripples are the best looking HS1 games, bar none. OIALT was made in a potato PC (words from Cari himself), while I bet the devs of PC and Ripples had better computers back then (so the games looked great from the start)

Just noticed,it's been a year since I wait for Kingsville: The Start of Change update It's really rare to see a new hs 1 game made in 2024-2025.For now,it's pretty much empty and I didn't want to make any conclusions before 0.2 update

Also,wanted to mention another rejected feature.Something like "my li rating",where I would rank every li in the game with a banner.So, the reasons why that was rejected:
1.As always,even searching for the good renders to use in the banner takes a lot of time
2.Majority of people here come to find new hs games and not my personal preferences,so,simply,why would they need to know about my favs

As an alternative,instead of ranking,I could use a banner as the LI introductions as a game intruduction.But that idea was also rejected due the reason 1 above

I really like HS1, I still have to get used to HS2 for new games but been following the OG games so much that I just can't easily move on. I don't think there are many HS1 games ongoing or completed, so countable.

Me too at some point,I could't stand for hs2.It's just I accepted there will not be many new hs 1 games,so,we need to move on

PC looks really good tbh. I'd say it's the best looking HS1 out there. Ripples has amazingly fluid animations, but in terms of renders and models, PC is superior. It's really a shame for me that the game's not right up my alley, with its whole setting and how so many unavoidable fetishes make me feel uncomfortable or even disgusted at times. But its quality in that regard is unquestionable.

That honestly seems like a HUGE lot of work, especially taking into account harem games An alternative though could be mentioning LIs that might be considered as "controversial" in certain games (attitude, unavoidable kinks, etc.) although more as an observation than a negative aspect. Still, that might be too much of a hassle as well, I'm not sure.
