To be fair, she didn't kill either one of them...right away, anyway. They certainly would have died if left alone in the desert without prompt medical treatment, but the MC sped them along, so technically HE killed them, all she did was shoot them in self-defense.
ah but she thought she killed them and wasnt relieved when told they were still alive. cant spin it, she felt like a murderer in that moment and after. like when MC left her alone on the phone cause he knew she would play the brave little soldier in front of him instead of opening up completely. he recognized she needed to do it right away or else be ruined by it..... then took her to mexico to be whore for prison gangs or do cartel hits. (yeah not on purpose but it is what he did)
Navy SEALS are Navy...Hrm...overall I enjoyed the update, although I do agree with the general sentiment that the MC is / was careless as fuck. Then again, he was always more of an Arnold Schwarzenegger-character type rather than an Agent 47.
I'm not sure what the "implications" of Cookie in the post-credits scene are, if any, but it's a nice throwback and makes letting her live an even more meaningful decision since she seems to have gotten her life on track. I mean...as "on-track" as joining the Navy is...was the Air Force full or something? (
To my mind, the Cookie stinger is just a way to show that despite his manifold fuck ups in this particular update his redemption path is actually bearing fruit. Letting the couple live after they blackmailed him led to bad things, but sparing cookie is leading to good things in the long run. Probably a subtle way of telling you that the good decision isn't always the right decision but that shouldn't stop you from making redeeming decisions in the future.
