Living With Sister: Monochrome Fantasy is honestly one of the best "touch" games I think I've ever play. Considering the first time that I ever played a turn-based RPG was an ero-game, that aspect of this was really actually fun. Having to balance training and your sister's relationship can be stressful at times but that just makes it feel all the more real. I found myself going to sleep wanting to play more every single day.

Sister - She is what you make her, She will always love you but it is up to you how much. I love that aspect of this game.

RPG - Surprisingly in-depth, I quite like the story and ending (plus the hot springs) and cant wait to see it expanded on.

This is my first ever review so I apologize if it may not check all the boxes but this game was worth it and if I had the money to spend on something like this I would've happily bought it instead.

This one is great. You can say it's a slow roast, you have to build your relationship with your sister and it might be a little frustrating at the beginning. Non H part of the game can be quite the grindfest, though. Each day you can take 1 quest and that will usually raise your stats, in my experience the bests one no doubts would be the subjugation quests.

There's multiple endings and a NG+ for some replayability. My only real complain is that you can have sex with any of the other characters.

    This game is pretty based.

I've played the original release that was up for DL before the steam release. Recently bought the steam release to show my support to the dev.

The story goes like this: You're an older brother living in the country side with your little sister. Your dad walked out on you going on some sort of adventure and telling you to take care of her because she's always been chronically ill (as the game implies). Whilst doing so, you actively build up your guild's reputation and take on quests - molding yourself into a capable adventurer.

The gameplay cycle is pretty fun. If you like to see numbers going up and such, then it's definitely stimulating. The grind can get pretty tiring though. Your initial playthrough is always the roughest, since you don't know where to go and what to do to increase stats. You want to increase your stats as much as possible, since the game rewards you with extra money, events, and skillpoints to "have fun" with your sister. Honestly, you can go most of the game without ever doing anything to her and even have it happen semi-naturally. The most important part of every playthrough is the prologue where they ask you questions about what kind of brother you want to be. This sets your stats for the start of the game and even gives you stat-bonuses for raising some of them. If you want to get a semi-easy mode, my recommendation is to raise the sister's affection + sexual interest. This will allow you to regularly have sex with her and if you end up getting her pregnant it's an automatic good end/game over, but you can immediately start new game +.

The art is wonderful and expressive. It's why I never minded replaying the game and grinding for new events and such. If a game that's entirely monochrome can get me to spend hours on it, then I'd say that's a testament to how much style it has. I will say that the new font they use for the Steam release was very questionable. It can be pretty hard to read/understand, but your eyes will eventually acclimate to it. The H-scenes you have are especially pretty/detailed. It looks like scenes ripped straight out of some classic doujins.

4/5 - Solid game bogged down by pretty lengthy grinding that can get dull after your nth playthrough. Wish there were more options on clothes/H-scenes, but the amount of content here for what I wrote off as another HRPGM clone is pretty astounding. It's also one of the rare wholesome games on the site (at least compared to a lot of recent stuff released lmao)

Amazing game that keeps me cumming back. The manga art style is lovely drawn, although I might be biased, but it keeps the mood cozy and dreamy. The game is relatively slow, you would need to actually "raise"/groom your sister into accepting you, but the slow build up makes it all worth it when you obtain the scenes
There are also some good mods for the game that please weebs like me

The art is fantastic, the fetish central to the game is um... pretty nice.
A shame you can't fuck the other characters, but they aren't really the focus anyways. The gameplay is kinda just a grindfest, but I didn't mind it too much.
Most important part: I cum many time.

Almost complete. Played the game mostly through the game; will be coming back to it, as it is an excellent game. Gameplay and visuals are similarly stunning; the game does well in endearing the sister. Played vanilla game; will look into the mods after finishing the vanilla

This is quite a comfy and fun indie game that honestly transends it's porn game status for me. There's something about the art, from the characters to the environment, that really embodies what it feels like to be in a cozy "Japanese vision of a western low-fantasy". The black and white nature of the game was a bit off-putting at first, but I eventually got accustomed to it and now those color mods of the game feel off.

Gameplay does enough to make it stand out and feel different from the generic turn-based formula, and it's pretty fun. Add to that a great little sound track, and it turned in to a game I fully completed with all of it's post-game content and DLC, even if it was pretty grindy. Translation was rough as well, but this game never seemed to have much stock on it's story anyways.

Incredible game by the studio, the best one that they reliesed yet.
The affection training is well done and balanced, and overall the training does not become too boring, also the art is pretty cute.
As for the command you can use during the sex scenes they increased the possibilities with respect to the older games, pretty hot.

Very good game. The combat is simple yet still pretty exciting. The relationship between your sister and you feels natural and not forced. Romance is not even the main part of the story which is rare in a hentai game. The most fun game I have played for a while.

A good "grindel", drawing even in monochrome style is excellent, there is a lot of content. Unfortunately, I managed to choose a difficult mode, I advise a beginner to pass by hard mode, because the focus from hentai will have to be shifted to a boring clicker, otherwise there is no way, because the game forces you to do it.

Stunning game and design, especially thanks to the colors.
Compared to its predecessor Monochrome, the game is larger and with more characters and increased actions.
I hope new games in this series come out but maybe with some more animation and story.

    Good sequel

    Story:
There's actually a story this time, nothing to grand, but a step up from the original game, light hearted in general, just a generic fantasy setting
Take care of your seemingly sick sister by fucking her at night (not canon, but still funny). Spread the name of your guild with your cute companions (which you sadly can't bang)

    gameplay:
Like last time, cohabitation game, grind affection, attack at night yadda yadda.
BUT, they added rpg shit now, you actually have shit to do while you wait to creampie your own sister, and they're alright
The stat system is a bit iffy, not sure if all of them are even important

    Characters:
There's more of them now, and they're more fleshed out in general and less bland

A raising simulator with a manga aesthetic. You spend your days working at the local village branch of the adventurer's guild, and you spend your nights and weekends taking care of your little sister.

Help your local guild earn the respect of other guild branches throughout the kingdom, while also taking care of your sister whenever she falls ill (also you can steal her panties)

Imouto Life Fantasy, is a great "cohabitation" game, but it doesn't work as well as a hybrid with roleplaying elements.

Basically, if we are just looking at the "roommate factor", I'd put this below "1 room: Runaway girl", but the night phase minigame present in "imouto", is a very strong positive, and really propels the game to one of the best titles in the genre (do note that the night phase is a "training game mechanic", that's important).

Before talking about the roleplaying side of things, I have to go on a tangent, and mention the previous game "Imouto life monochrome". The problem with that title was a lack of events, social circle, and character traits. Basically, there's little to no "incest feeling" in that game, and the repetition factor is exacerbated by 2 lifeless characters, who know nothing but each other.

Returning to "Imouto fantasy", this was corrected, by introducing traditional fantasy elements like: adventurers, guilds, monsters, magic etc... Not only that but the protagonist and the sister, also got some defining traits, and they now feel closer to siblings. Sounds like "happy days all around", doesn't it? Then why did I say that the innovations don't work that well?

    2 reasons:

    - The first is that the game mechanics are poorly implemented - I appreciate the effort but the combat and quest system is utterly substandard.

    - Second and the real problem - the brother/sister aspect remains largely unexplored. All the improvements were placed in the wrong parameters. (it's more of a "what I want isn't here kind of deal", if I'm being honest, not exactly fair). The sister has no circle of acquaintances, and I only remember one meaningful interaction with the cast (some jealousy). The brother is a bit better (some would be heroines in the guild), but it's still not enough from my perspective.

Is "imouto life fantasy" a good game? Yes absolutely. Does it feel like it could go beyond that and become a legend in adult games, the best ever in the cohabitation genre? Yes, no question. Right now its potential hasn't been fully realized. Let's have the sister having some friends, go outside, visit the brother's guild, have some sort of hobby. Let's have the brother grow a personality, have some dialogue choices, and a conflicted inner world due to the entire premise of the title.

I'd say this a 9/10, by comparison to some other things here, and as you can quite clearly tell, most of the problems I have with "imouto" are ME problems. This is a very good game, and I highly recommend it, it's just that I can't shake the feeling this could be amazing with a few extra "touches".

This is coming to Steam (kagura games). If you end up really liking this, keep that in mind.

The game is the best for me anyway should have done this long time ago.

If you like this sort of game you will not be disappointed and you will enjoy and have fun in the game.

You have classic action inside with a lot of characters and unique monsters, And the best part is when you get home you have a beautiful sister waiting for you home if you care enough for her she will do the same for you.

There is a bug that is breaking the game, before you end the great adventure she is unclickable and you can't continue playing, maybe is the hair mod, I'm using FFX and the collorfull mod, I already try to recharge the save but is always the same thing.

    Playtime: 8-15 Hours

    Pros:
Art- hot, unique, and cutesy. Somewhat moé is the best term i would describe the games art style.

Replayability - NewGame+ jargon makes the game easier since it is somewhat hard maybe I just suck.

    Neutral:
Gameplay/Fighting - You get a set amount of actions for each member; attack, defend, heal. Somewhat difficult even on normal difficulty if you are not investing correctly early/late game.

Gameplay/Sexual Content - Raise Lust/Trust w/ your imouto. Can get tedious at times and is missing potential honestly after playing other games with a similar system. A little too convulted if you ask me. Sexual intercouse is too short(?) Like the more you get it on with your imouto the faster the night ends like wtf? I'm not done.

Story - somewhat saddened that it felt short to me. Though it was fun and very cute. Hopefully they add the other girls as some DLC or something.

    Cons:

Money Management - I'm sure there is a guide for the best actions to take, but I truly had a hard time trying not to stay poor while buying stuff to raise stats, imouto lust/love, etc etc.

RNG - you can get shit on in all aspects while progressing/battling/AP, though you can save scum so not that big of an issue

Week cycle - it feels fast-paced in the slowest way possible. Like if you don't have enough AP or spending time on raising your stats or spending time with your imouto it create an either/or situation that ties with the story of your decisions actually mattering where you can fuck up your run or come up short.
    ___________________________________________________

Honestly a good game I enjoyed I very much. H-scene variation could've been way better. Imouto Trust/Love/Lust system too convulted compared to other games. Makes up for it with the art/gameplay/world-building creating a decent connection with the characters.

    The Bad:
    - HUGELY long gameplay time. Basically there's a limited number of "good" endings (most of them you can get within the same save, back to back), but if you aren't saving often and run into a bad ending (either from early pregnancy or losing at a particular quest), you can waste hours of gameplay.
    - Shallow combat. There's a bunch of skill books you can buy to buff your team, but it generally comes down to timing your clicks for maximum ATK boosts while you hope you dumped enough points into your attack and defense stats to steamroll the enemy.

    The Good:
    - Simple, but engaging management. Besides money and your imoutou's happiness / lust meters, you don't have to baby many resources. While you often make important choices in how to spend your time and energy day to day, it's not overwhelming to do.
    - Thematic intimate scenes. Regarding the most obvious theme, the taboo fetish here isn't given to you on a silver platter; besides building trust, lust also needs to be built up, and unlocking every position and action requires multiple days of experimenting before imoutou gets comfortable with things like anal or shower antics.
    - The music. Mostly run of the mill themes that fit the context properly, but most -- if not all -- of the songs have some sort of catchiness if you just sit there and take it in. There are plenty of other h-games that use the wrong music to force a vibe (looking at you Rondo Duo), but the simple chiptune music and generic rock OSTs aren't offensive to the ears and compliment the light-hearted art style and story.

    All in all:
It's a fun little management game even without H scenes, but it approaches the subject matter of taboo romance with an amount of respect that makes other H-games look primitive by comparison. Intimate scenes are done well, and gameplay -- while simple -- isn't wholly lacking. If you've looked at Inusuku's other works, you can tell that the developer really hit a sweet spot that their past works missed by leaning too hard towards gameplay or intimacy only. Worth the buy at full price!

    fantasy life,

A great secuel, I became attached to the characters, the story, although it has its shortcomings, I liked a lot, the daily life system seemed great to me and the extent to which we "corrupt" our sister is simply great.

I loved the game and with the color modifications and FFOX it is much more enjoyable.

    5/5 *
