Since there's no changelog for 0.9.9.0.3 or 0.9.9.0.5 even (which is up on itch already), I assume it's a very minor hotfix

It is. Though the profit gain heavily depends on the place, the NPCs and the prostitution looping. The most profitable and safest place is Rudesind, the noble district inside Noer. If you wish to gain a good amount of sex exp, level exp and money all at the same time with very very minor chance of getting injuries then Rudesind prostitution is the way. On top of that, the prostitution option is always available for the nobles there. Lona needs a high amount of Sexy stat but that can easily be reached by doing something provocative like bathing and such near some of those NPCs who are in the middle of fucking.
To get to that noble district, you either need a Rudesind Visa (sold at 10k TP at the bandit camp inside Noer) or bluff your way through (Bluff is unlocked at 10 Wisdom trait points) or get an invitation letter from Milo (Main quest involving Cecily). For a better looping prostitution, I reccomend buying the Gland Removal MOD from Elise inside Noer's clinic to prevent Lona from reaching climax since it spends lots of stamina.
All of these cost a certain amount of money which is hard for beginners to gain since they lack the knowledge of what place to go first to earn the most of it. There's an easy early way to gain 2-3+ Gold coins on top of getting to level 15+ as soon as you leave the tutorial sewers (excluding Loan from the bandit), and it's by doing the Woodson family's, Fortune Teller's and Adam's quest at Doom Fortress which can all be relatively easily done at low level. Instead of detailing the process through words, I'll post a series of videos later regarding this.

You have a good guide from an experienced player, and now I'll give you my two cents because I'm basically in your shoes and can offer the view of a newcomer. In my opinion, prostitution isn't the best source of income if you're just starting out. You don't have enough sexy, and you don't have enough money to jump through hoops to increase it, so you can only bang beggars and drunkards who give you little money. A notable advice: learn the buttons for each kind of sex, ASDF. It's in the notes in the game, and you press them during sex. I'm not entirely sure of the exact timing, but I press the corresponding button every time a thrust happens. The game shows you the additional trade points you earn this way, and it increases the total pay.
I personally prefer the dancing job at the bar as a primary source of income early on. Do everything except masturbation (spends too much stamina) and you will be able to buy a key for the room after each "shift" and still have some money left over to save. After each dancing session, if you have any stamina left and you've managed to escape an inevitable gangbang, spend it on prostitution.
Honestly, though, you'll quickly learn that prostitution isn't the way to win the game. Doing quests is. They will be infuriatingly hard in the beginning (and later in the game, too, lol, but at least you will be better prepared weapons and you personal skill wise). Don't be afraid to do quests. You will die a lot, so save often. That's just how it is. But you will earn way more XP and money.
The skeleton quest is good. Hire that Indiana Jones wannabe each time, and he will complete it for you. Use the wiki extensively, it's a fantastic source of information about the quests. I recommend doing the "look for the missing caravan" quest early too. You don't have to fight, just savescum and run (or sneak)
Just to throw some bit of info that others may find useful. During daytime, the Mage vendor at Noer market can drop some pretty rare items like Saber, 1 Large copper coin and even 1 Gold coin at a pretty low chance when killed:
What makes this a big deal is that this Mage vendor isn't a unique NPC (meaning he can respawn even after being killed) so you can technically farm Gold coin from him, that is if you don't mind save-scumming since as I said the drop rate for those rare items is pretty low. Just try to save right before the Mage vendor gets killed. A high level magic such as the pool of blood created by Malicious Spore can sneakily kill (no morality reduction) this Mage vendor rapidly. Though even if you have near zero item and zero trait skills, there's multiple other ways to kill this Mage vendor without directly reducing Lona's morality. One is causing an infighting like the first video which can take a certain amount of RNG, the other is trying to isolate the Mage vendor, stun him, get a Lancer soldier to hit him through his 2-tiles attack which will trigger the Mage vendor to attack the soldier and then wait for the Mage vendor to get killed:

Prostitution working alongside Succubus is a good way to get money and xp from my experience.
You invest 5 points in stealth in the dungeon from the very begining (you gonna need it later on so do it now), you masturbate and eat your useless food till you reach lvl 6 or 7. Then approach the goblins to see the missing girl, bang you get to lvl 7-8. Take the sword while naked (they gonna masturabe) and run. Invest in wisdom and stamina equally. The goal for wisdom is to get to 10 then gradually reach 20 so Lona can most effectively bargain for more money for her service. Return quest and you lvl up some more. When i have around 25 stamina remaining i always masturbate before bed because it goes to XP. That is my rule. Get Elise herb quest 2-3 times till you get Juicing. Strip naked and do the Missing caravan with 2-3 stamina potions and 10 food min. if you want to kill all. You can wipe out every single goblin there including the reinforcements (if you pull 1 by 1) as a Succubus. Save the girls. Turn the quest back, dye her hair blonde, get the whore hairstyle, service some men, sleep, take the Goblin Tower quest, complete, then return it in the church. Sleep with the priest (enter and exit to reset) until he tells you to please everyone else too in church. You get enough church money to get the necklace. Good for sexy stat. By repeating this he gives you valuable relics that you can sell as a true devotee. Go boar hunting. Rape the male boars (those with tusks) that inhabit the lush green forest east of Noer because they give a lot of meat and Wisdom spawns more plants in your zone. Cook high quality soup, get 2-3 sta and 2 hp potions from Elise. Save the noble chick with Grey Rat. Easy. Stealth your way till the captive. In the room where you save the woman, put Greyrat 1 tile back from the door so he can stop enemies going forward but leave the left and right open to enter the room. Put the woman on the right to close the right breach. They hold the position. With Lona you throw a stone (while stealth 5 points) to distract 2 or 3 to the bombs, throw at bombs to trigger them. Enemies will die. Pull 1 or 2 guys and lead them in the room you just set up. They gonna get 2 vs 1 each time they enter the room. You can block the left with Lona if you want. You get a gold coin for the quest. Go get the Dancing set and give it back to the jew. Buy it with the gold coin and some of the money you collected. If not enough prostitute Lona. Now you are always clean and very attractive, less chance for STD. Go with Elise to Fishtopia. After Elise gets captured you return to the fishfolk village and talk to the armorer who sells weapons by having the stats of 25 weak and more than 100 sexy. You get that by a mix of gear consisting of gold piercings, sexy necklace, starting Lona set, pitchfork or any other weapon, Dancing set and hairstyle. He gonna shower you in money each time you sleep with him. Even better if you are a virgin, he can give you gold coins. You sleep with him, exit the village, enter again and repeat. That is how you can make good money. Gold pierce her as much as possible for max sexiness which gives more rewards.
Honestly i wished that Lona can marry that guy. He appreciates her.

Sadly, saves from previous version no longer work in the current version no matter what.
As mentioned, versions 0.9.9.0 and later have become unplayable on older versions of this game. I also tried to find a solution for my outdated save but couldnt find it
. It seems only option start over...I wonder if Eccma is going to patch out the 1 Gold coin drop from that Mage vendor in Noer market just like how he tuned the old War Boss to not be easily killed by Mage Lona in less than 10s lol.
(This is what a endgame 100 WIS stat Mage Lona used to be able to do to War Boss right at the beginning of the combat)

It's very bad. So, I think, I don't need new version. If all my progress will be erased by almost each new version, why I need to update. Very sad. It's good reason for think about leaving the game
I think i explained wrong its not gonna wipe your save with every update, normally you can use rebirth to update your save if you dont want to have a problem with outdated save but sometimes dev makes big changes and that could ruin your save so even rebirth cant save you(like he did on 0.9.9.0 update)It's very bad. Not each version, only during very major data changes which to my own experience since first playing this game happened only once on this exact recent version v0.9.9.x where I couldn't even load the old save. It's going to be a while before such case happens again but yeah it sucks ass. You still keep the achievements from GameLona.ini, you can also get back all of the lost items, level and race through Cheats mod, however you'll need to rebirth 6 times again to get back the 6 extra trait points which requires you to do certain missions. Same for sex experience that gives you acquiered sex level, this one's the one that makes me the saddest. There's no easy way to regain the lost 6k+ sex exp number that I grinded for almost a hundred of hours, gotta regrind again. Though it's not too big of a deal thanks to LonaRPG not being the type of game that encourages long grinding.
