I just tried playing this... And I have to say, magic is the most underwhelming thing ever. Even to early game enemies I do 1 damage, so I tried just using it as a side weapon for burning dot, and then I realized... Am I really spending 8k + the stats for a ranged lantern that doesn't light the way?

That's also how I felt the first time I played the game when it comes to the Mage build, until I got a good hand of its mechanics. Magic is actually the most powerful build in the game, especially at late game max level max 100 WIS. It's just not beginner friendly, and by beginner friendly I don't mean that it's bad early game, it's just hard to master for players who just began. This build used to be able to kill War Boss in about 10s

Then the boss got tweaked to ram right at the first entry of battle so now it's a bit tougher to kill normally (without the goblin slayer cheese). The animation nerf of the thunder spell in v0.9+ made the fight even longer but still pretty manageable. Although that nerf also made Mage build even more difficult for new player to handle, so I can fully understand why people would think it's the weakest build.

Magic has a pretty counterintuitive start. At low levels your companions do basically everything while you grind out levels to additively stack on damage. You don't do much at all until certain damage breakpoints, at which point magic becomes very strong.

I recommend doing a Warrior start and traps + saber + enhanced dagger because it's the easiest and most straightforward, but hey mages are cool too.

That's actually what I ended up doing. Well, no enhanced dagger because I just like having the lantern off hand.

On another topic, does anyone know where the caravan that Cecily wants to raid is? The one they would've attacked with Adam if I... ehr... Hadn't been a selfish asshole and got his head?

Oh, nevermind. I just had to travel back to Noer to continue their quest

The untranslated version is the latest English translated version, the translation is just incomplete.
That so called "translated" version just has the MTL already applied and should not even be linked anymore as it is no longer compatible with a bunch of mods. I've given up trying to get it removed.

Always post at least a screenshot of errors (the errorlog*.txt for the error helps even more)

Make's things such as the booba mod folder not being correct obvious (or in this case, the exact file path for the missing translation file)

That's also how I felt the first time I played the game when it comes to the Mage build...

At the very least, it's probably the best build for abomination nests.
The entire floor is liquid, so a few centralized lightning bolts annihilate everything in a huge radius. This is while the water tome shockwave(?) skill insta-kills those shitty little 1hp parasites.

Against certain enemies though like The Beast however, magic is just tedious.

Is there anyway to get Abomination babies safely ? I read on Wiki, for rebirth as Abomination race, Lona has to sell 2 - 4 abomination babies for Elise. After that, Lona has to have her own abomination baby in inventory.

I let Abomination monster attacked Lona and bang her, but she had no time to rest to replenish Stamina, so she was captured into monster lair and became seedbed. I try to run away but even escaped the lair, it's too rough to back to town when there're lots of monsters and bandits attacked on roads. Moreover, The baby suck her out of stamina all time... :'<

I feel it's very complicated to get a abomination baby...
