How to optimize this on joiplay?, It keeps crashing

How exactly does it crash? Does it give an error or just kick you to the main screen while playing? And what version of JoyPlay are you using?

Is there a step-by-step guide on how to create a mod? I know there are some demo mods with instructions, but unfortunately I don’t really understand them. I’m not sure which parts are necessary and which ones can be left untouched.


The changes I made affect the companion’s behavior. There is a fail-safe where companions jump to the player if they are too far away and can’t find a path. It’s unrealistic, but I got so frustrated with their follow behavior that this is acceptable to me for now, at least until I find a better solution.


So basically, I did overwrite certain parts of the existing behavior. However, I’m not sure how to do this properly via the mod import system.

(I also changed how the sex attack is calculated, but one step at the time...)

Create a mod folder and put all the modified files in it, preserving the path. For example, mod_folder\Data\HCGframes\event. As a result, you need to create the number of folders that you need. After that, you can enable the mod in the game and restart it, and the modified files will be picked up. The name of the folder will be the same as the mod_folder. I may be missing something, as I have only edited other people's mods, but this is how it should work.

Hi I'm interested in trying this game out, from what I've read it seems the big belly mod is necessary if you want to see her pregnant (well, with a big belly) but does the mod still work with the latest 10.4.1 update? If not I might wait a bit in case it does get updated

Okay, so while I did update Big Belly to the current version, pregnancy is very much in-game - the mod just enhances / balances the visuals for some of the poses - mostly late-stage pregnancy. Here is a comparison:

Note: Big Booba does NOT edit the base character's belly (at least, not at this time). Small breasted Lona has the BASE image in Big Booba.

Is there anyway to increase stats via cheat code? Or messing with the game files?

Yes - check out Cheat Framework (it's in the OP now, or use the link in my signature). Under Character > Level / Traits / Primary are most of the states I could figure out how to safely edit. Some things recalculate regularly, so I left those out.

I am not aware of one. I have ZERO knowledge in Android / JoiPlay programming (which is why I ignore all questions on the thread relating to the topic ). I have learned a bit about PaletteChanger after messing with Big Booba's code, but I wouldn't even know where to begin to translate that knowledge into making a fix for JoiPlay.

Most mods consist of these files: _ModInfo.json, preview.png and some .rb file. The first two are just to help the ModLoader get relevant info. The .rb could be stand-alone, or reference other files in sub-folders (game only checks root mod folder by default).

The scripts themselves could just straight up overwrite an existing function. This one overwrites the check for max stat so it can be set by the Cheat Framework.

Or a cleaner approach is to "alias" (basically grab the function when it runs, do your thing, then let it do it's thing... or not). This is the gallery unlock function - it basically says - any time a map loads, check if the toggle is true. If so, check if in the right map. If so, run override_matching function (not included here for simplicity).

Then i realize she is rat refugee, which mean despite her merchant family background, she probably didn't eat much like noble and didn't have the growth because back in the medieval time, Fat is a symbol of rich, wealth and "healthy" life that only noble can afford, contrast to her situation now.

Remember Skullgirls? Eccma liked Feng, one of the background characters, and campaigned for her to be added as a playable.



Lona is a similar body type, so there might be some (indirect) inspiration there.

As far as I know, yes. I've been working on background stuff for Big Booba so haven't worked on any of the planned code improvements. If I learn of a bug, I try to fix it as soon as possible.

Or here me out... the author just likes flat characters. Not everyone likes watermelons for boobs. And the author was kind enough to give an in-lore reason why she's so smol.
