Holding CTRL help a little bit but it's slow in comparison.
qtrl alt always was a littlefaster for me. you might have frame drops if you do though and that can cause scenes and dialgues to not register properly. i get it though. try the mods for shorter "cutscenes" if you find it harsh. i sure do. fyi, if i screw up and its not a death, i deal with it. mostly with revenge type murder. Its fun to succeed with "Ribenji"
How bad is the MTL? should I just wait for the big booba mod and an actual english patch or what?
no. you should get more involved, an read the forums thousands of pages, to see the history of how the game fandom evolved.
mtl is fine, and some users even self edit scenes. mtl uses google translate, for what the mtl doesnt already have pre-installed for a translation.
for making custom scenes,
some scenes need to have their "tags" how they are presently because what the "tag" connects to is a notepad file that has the same unstranslated name. the tags connect to the file name.
The contents though can be changed.
You can make whole scenarios by just editing the notepad files. including different people and their expressions, and where they're positioned on the screen, and even screen shake motions (which i hate).
pretty sure big boobs still updates fairly often (not immediate, they're not ai) knowing the talks i did with the dev. hopefully. Best mod ever. He even made it work with different skin palates. godsend.

Mtl should keep a log of what WAS translated. It should cross reference that with what it knows are the untranslated files it has pre-translated. If theres a discrepancy in the untranslated files, it should redo that part. Thus saving effort of doing manual translations for any content that has had edits made to it, while still saving the amount of line translated via google translate. Personally i prefer DeepL because it pays attention to the little things and provides better translations. google has a free api and thats why its used. the api can do more than you can on the website itself, oddly. guess its a business related thing.

i dont need clothes, except in towns. and talking to people, and to prevent instant grabs (which im not sure it actually does). Clothes dont let you show off your muscles. your scrawny tiny girl gun wielding muscles!
the mods on that wiki are manchilds, I wanted to contribute but they are so insufferable I just noped.
make yourself an account, make an edit, keep it looking like the rest of the page (there is a standardized method for mod listngs) and provide a reason for the edit, and in the reason reference your "talk" page for your profile for any concerns.
Annu will leave you a message likely if he thinks theres a problem, so you can fix it yourself. he's just a mod with too much work on his hands and im sure he would appreciate you talking the load off him.

its very good to mod. theres one rssian modder who made a whole rpg style edit aking to fallout new london, or any large skyrim quest addon. if you want visual, theres some good ones, maybe not all current ones, but still ones sufficient for most interests, on the mira wiki. which i've designed. you're welcome bud, or budette. man...i'd like a budette to msg me sometime, and she be at least a 7/10 and not a 6-7. maybe even a femboy if they're 8/10 (im picky).
Anyone have the red dress mod? I have it in Russian but it keeps crashing my game
if you find it, try adding it to the mira wiki. I recal there being red dress and black dress mods. i think i had put up the black dress, and was hearing voices saying dont make the section for red dress, so i put it off. i may have forgot to add it in later. your're welcome to submit an edit. just follow the way the page is for other mods.
