Not really because you can grab tough personality (which prevents taking both timid and nympho) + acolyte. The church is corrupt, yes. Like pretty much everything in this game but I don't think it's officially a sex cult and considered a 'good' faction. See the war sister and the fact the fat priest gets replaced after rescuing Cocona.

i think in this particular case.. the church lona attended in her home city was a sex cult... is the idea... the skill descriptions for the acolyte path even mention her parents removing her from church when they asked for her to service people... (explaining why lona starts as a virgin even while being a nympho) so yes the church is a sex cult... just as the church in noer was until you basically destroyed it rescuing cocona... but this kinda makes sense... as her home city was where the corruption originated... so makes sense for the people there to be corrupt.

Technically, there is a rather scuffed way to play a paladin/spell blade, which is pumping Combat a ton with moderate CON while using the Relic of Retribution. Since that relic's holy spells have Attack scaling (Attack + Wisdom + CON), you can use common quality weapons like a shortsword for melee and Smite for range. Judgement shreds enemy DEF to 0, so you can time it against armored enemies so that the shortsword doesn't hit them like a wet sponge (most armored enemies are shielded, so just waiting for them to block is a great opportunity to Judgement their asses). You can also have the Idol of the Believer as an extension slot tool to AOE stun away groups surrounding Lona. Tough personality (for the Attack boost) + Acolyte is an available Trait combo, so Weapon Mastery locking out Acolyte is likely meant to prevent Lona from excelling at this build too much so that pure warrior combat remains a valid option.
I once made a Paladin Lona with heavy attack+defense gear to pump up the swordsword damage to "not shit" with Acolyte relics and it wasn't that bad. Not good (honestly, a standard Tough warrior with kunai for range does most of this better), but having all 3 relics as Extension slot tools was pretty nifty as a jack-of-all-trades party member for support + frontliner combat. Kind of felt like a really shitty Diablo 2 Paladin + Necromancer team with Cocona, with Lona shielding Cocona to buy time for skeleton summons and using the Banner skill as an aura buff.
yeah but acolyte is obviously intended to be used with nympho and succubus playstyle... supporting allies and such with healing when you cant just fuck things to death... apparently there was supposed to be a more charm/mind control ability for nympho lona to make sure she always has allies... but i think that just ended up being removed cus sea witch exists and that kinda does the same thing?... idk... maybe charm will be added in eventually so succubus doesn't basically have to be sea witch 100% of the time...

I see people say this is like a good spiritual successor to fear and hunger, and I figured I'd probably find it here (cause obv fear and hunger has a porn element to it too so it made sense lol) but upon lookin at the game it seems more like a H-RPG. Where the adult stuff is pretty much the main focus.
Sorry if its been asked alot- but is it primarily the focus of this game for Lona to be sexual and do stuff with people/creatures, etc? Seemed that way from some of the stuff I was reading, screenshots and what not. Figured getting a clear answer would be better. Personally not a big fan of piloting a female character in H-style games (just never really been my thing) so I'd rather play it more like F&H and enjoy the challenge/difficulty rather than the porn aspect of it if its possible, unless the H-aspect is a main point then I'll prob pass on it. Just was curious, thanks!

The church being corrupt and local chapters (maybe even the higher circles) devolving into degenerate sex cults is pretty much normal for this game. There isn't really a single institution that isn't corrupt but that doesn't mean the church, government or army is inherently evil, it's the people making up said institutions that are. Thw war sister and most of the nuns you can meet in the game do try to help people or fight against evil factions.
The corruption or black mist originates from the fortune teller since she is the patron or deity of the abomination faction. Like Justice is for the undead and the Sea Witch for fish people. It's basically 3 gods playing a pen & paper campaign but something went wrong and the fortune teller lost control over her 'children'. Hence the corruption, it has nothing to do with people being shitty. The devastation and chaos caused by whatever the gods did just exacerbated the existing problems.
This depends on your build and if you're willing to reload a lot. There's the succubus build which allows you to initiate sex combat which kills enemies but you can also play a warrior, mage, priest and some combinations, like warrior + mage. What happens if you lose mostly depends on the faction you're fighting against - greenskins, abominations and human enemies will enslave and rape Lona, whereas undead and wild animals will just kill you.
Personally I don't find most of the porn content in Lona exciting but rather disgusting. But it fits the grimdark atmosphere the game is going for. It's also not always 100% serious like F&H. Unless you think that it's a serious affair when this world's version of Goblin Slayer fucks goblins to death once they're out of stamina and fall to the ground. Which doesn't mean it's a silly game mind you, just that there's rather obvious jokes and references to be found.

It is the opposite, the sex stuff is actually a punishment: it is disgusting by design (the main developer's intentions), if Lona gets into a situation involving sex against her it becomes a detrimental overall.
In my opinion, the game at its core is a grimdark dystopian action rpg that happens to have sex mechanics, which Lona can use herself but you have to build her around it.
This game's difficulty is mostly a knowledge check, ofc you need the skills to pull out the exploits; it's like 80% knowledge 15% skill and 5% luck.

I lowkey wish there was a way to get a consensual do any of the sex rather than Lona only getting fucked by rape, slavery or prostitution. Especially if you want to Rebirth and your only option is whoring Lona to some rando or rape is kinda fucked.
But yeah I agree the H-Scenes in Lonarpg isn't to titillate you its disgusting and stomach curling to see. It adds to the horror of the average woman experiences in this fucked up verse.

My bad for wording it in a very softy way. But yeah it's a dark fantasy setting but it doesn't mean I like just pure grimdark wank. I mean Berserk wasn't just good because the setting was purely dark it had moments where the characters can act like humans and but when the very fucked shit happen it hits harder. I am not offended by the content and I just wanted some vanilla content maybe just it make it extremely hard to do like 100 World Difficulty DOOM to get it
The game right now is a very edgy human's the real monster all along kinda shit. Like every quest is just showing the worst in people. But tbf I am criticizing a game that isn't even finish so I will have to see what creators cooks up.

Slight disagree there, many quests I play I still find some decent chuds on this cursed island. Graveyard keeper was very nice to Lona, too bad he's not a lucky sod. The Knight captain in the south camp of Sybaris join in the fray to protect fleeing civillians and Lona (cuz he mistakes her as one), some mercenaries you met in the swamp. There are some quests that are heart-warming too
