Cannibal doesn't affect Desecrate. What affects it is Bloodlust. Doing Desecrate with no Bloodlust will decrease Lona's mood, while doing Desecrate with Bloodlust do the opposite. Desecrate functions more as a means to assimilate or defile fresh corpse. Even as an abomination, there's still gonna be negative effect if Lona actually 'eat' a human flesh while not being a cannibal.
That's pretty bizarre but I'll take it.
I guess eating it all at once is better than just the flesh chunks we loot.
And this is why I love bloodlust trait, once I activated that L40 messy thing on top of desecrate, food just became a non-existent problem for me.
No longer do I have to kill rats and avoid patrols, I actually prefer getting ambushes now since they're walking food bags.

on a side note, do I still need to give birth to an abomnination child and sell it 2x -or more? Or is it always unlocked for future rebirths?

Yeah, in order to rebirth into the race you want, you'll have to redo the whole process. You could always use cheat mods to directly spawn the child Lona should rebirth into to save time. Otherwise, you'd have to go through multiple hoops every rebirth.

I see, i guess she will keep getting screwed twice or thrice to sell two and keep one for Abom rebirth again.

If there are some minor complaints i have, it's that some scenes feel off 'cause the game thinks you haven't met them yet.
It breaks the immersion a lot.

So after testing it and reading all of the description and the mod's author clarification, it's an actual intended leveling mechanics. The way it goes is like this; during the class selection at the beginning of the game, you're prompted to choose a class that will determine Lona's stats growth after each gained level. The only stats that will grow through leveling are the ones marked in blue, which are ATK, Crit, Mana, STA and HP. Outside of items and race, these stats can ONLY be raised through leveling, not through farming/attributing trait point ingame.
It seems that the only exception to this are magic weapons, because unlikely physical weapons that escale off you atk stat, they directly escalate of you Wisdom. So while having more than 40 Strenght would be useless because thats the higher requirement a weapon can have for strenght, and the strenght trait does not increase your atk, magic does in fact deal more damage depending on how high your Wisdom is.

Other thing I saw is that apparently weapons do not crit? So I'm not entirely sure what is the purpose of having high growth potential on Dex. Maybe crit rate is meant for something else, like chance of inflicting stun or chance to inflict damage on limbs?

tldr; nothing makes sense

the other gods are weak deliberately... they had already gotten into a fight with justice before the game started and LOST... justice was far stronger than them... leaving them both in a drastically weakened state...thats why the sea witch is on the ground starving to death when we meet her... none of the gods are in a great position right now except justice... and only justice is completely impervious to death if you pick a fight with him... hes the one god you can never kill...
Ik, Sea Witch is expected since she's basically a corpse if you didn't intervened, and fortune teller did lose some power before the start of the story, I just want her fight to be harder than the placeholder abomination den yk.

Yeah, STR trait not increasing ATK even though WIS trait contributes to magic damage is very odd. As for Crit... I'm also as lost as you. This one needs far more clarification from the author than anything else since I've got no idea how this works on a global scale.

I haven't really dived deep into Roleplay-S yet, and it's mainly due to the overwhelming grind requirement and some heavy restrictions that I just noticed in the latest update of the mod in regard to Juicing being fully locked behind the Nymphomaniac personality. The trait building isn't as flexible as I expected it to be, which is a shame.

no cocona isn't undead... but she is connected directly to justice... the god of undead... he claimed his tribute from her in the form of her arm... and in exchange she was granted necromancy..a part of his power... since lona is his chosen "hero" wouldn't it make sense to have a way for lona to gain the power of the god that wants her to win?... she can obtain abomination, and deep one powers... the powers of the other gods... but not of justice the one god actually supporting her? meanwhile cocona has it some random girl? i mean... it could just be like the sea witch thing... where the god itself blesses you with their power... cocona gained justice's power after all...
I know Cocona is related in some ways with Justice but i don't know if she offered her arms to become a necromancer, i'm not fully sure about that.

Anyway the probability to have a necromancer feature is possible in a future update but these feature are new game+ only, so they are not intended to have any impact on the story in any way, it's just a bonus that you can't encounter in a "normal playthrough" basically.

This is just a satanic Ritual , don't mind Jacob
Y'know what it reminds me of?
Prototype.

With abomination Lona, I can go full-on alex mercer / james heller and clear them zones.

A few battles later by taking 'em out one by one and I thought the mouth was smth like a ladder, I didn't know I needed to kill it...

it is literally stated in her questline that she gave one of her arms to become a necromancer as tribute... and seeing as justice is the god of undead... he was the one who granted the ability to her...its why one of her arms is replaced by that weird scythe thing she has attached to her... this is something the game itself tells you.

Okay, I didn't know there's a follow-up for Lisa's quests.
I guess she has a questline of her own and goddamn, poor gal.

I don't remember all the dialogue, but i do remember Meryl saying that wasn't possible when Lona said she wanted to cut off her arms to become a necromancer so i assumed she developped the ability because she lived underground for so long with the dead all around her and that the crazy guy she was with just asked her to cut off her arms to eat it since they ate each other starting by the weakest people before they all died.

By the way, how Cocona survived for so long if all the people sealed in the catacomb died? why is she the only one alive? it is related to Justice giving her power then?

She eats corpses.
She got used to it so much 'cause of what her parents taught her, it's why Big Mum / Meryme is having problems feeding her actual food.

On a side note:

Do y'all prefer to play this game with or without companions?
'cause I prefer solo since friendly fire will turn me insane if I keep playing with companions / allies.

Hi, I just started this game using an older version and just found out that it supports cheat mods.
I’m getting this error, even though I installed the mod correctly by only moving the files into the _Mods folder.

I’ve tried both versions 10.5.0 and 10.3.1, but neither worked.
It would be great if anyone could help me with this issue. Thank you in advance.

Looks like you put the modules folder directly into the _Mods folder. It should look something like this:

but i feel like the game is getting abandoned.
I wouldn't worry about that. Sure the progress is inconsistent and the focus shifts unpredictably, but there's always some progress being made. As far as I understand, Lona is a passion project, the dev does not depend on it as his primary source of income, which is why he can show somewhat antagonistic attitude and doesn't need to worry what people think. He might not have the best tools or finest programming skills, but he has distinctive style and stubborn determination.

Speaking of progress - here's preview of the next update, additional room in Saint's Monastery.

Which repeatable quest is the best for exp grind?
Go overencumbered. Pretty much anything that burns stamina gives Lona XP, and if you overload her she will burn stamina just by walking. The only downside is you gotta keep enough food and be extra careful to not hit random encounter at low stamina.

On another note, if you bring Cecily along when talking with the Sea Witch there's some bonus dialogue between them.
Ditto for bringing Cocona along when talking to Justice.

I see, I guess I'll have to fight patrols more and more, burn stamina then eat their corpses to earn exp and repeat.
What about actual repeatable quests? Do they all give the same amount?

There are a lot of interactions with partners and many quests becomes easier with their help (sorry for the bad translate):
*Justice - Cecil and Gray, Cocona.
*Sea Witch - Cecil and Gray, Cocona, fishman companions.
*Justice at a mass grave next to the pirate's bane - Cocona
*Woodsons - Cecil and Gray, Cocona.
*Berserker - Cecil and Gray, Cocona.
*Warboss - Orkoid Slayer.
*Mountain Monastery - Cocona.
*Destruction of Documents - Cecil and Gray.
*Bat Lair - Cocona, Cecil and Gray.
*Cloud Village - Cecil and Gray.
*Village with the quest to save the fishman and the monkey - Cecil and Gray.
*Pighead Cave - Cocona.
*The location where you get the quest for the pig-headed - Cocona.
*The location where you get the quest to find the ashes of Grandfather's wife - Cocona.

Special dialogue options when killing story characters:
*Kill the fishman shaman before Elise's quest and then return for Elise's quest
*Kill Maani and go do Cecil's quests
*Kill Milo and go do Cecil's quests

the problem with companions is its just not worth babysitting them since you cant use aoe attacks with them with you... and they are kinda dumb... and if they die they are gone forever unless you reload... and certain races make companions unusable... like sea witch and abomination... which will cause your companions to attack you if you transform or use abom powers...so sure you might get a bit more dialogue... but you also have to constantly babysit dumb ai companions... so is it really worth it?
