Lol, if your companions won't help you kill those bandits, they will certainly help you lure them away. That's certainly another way to keep Lona safe in cramped place. But what if those companions weren't there anymore? Like for example, after doing one match in the Arena (which you can only do solo), there would be a moment once you exit the Arena and enter the map where you're going to be accosted by bandits while having no companions. I know there's way to circumvent it but, what I'm trying to get at is that some type of RNG will catch you off-guard one way or another.

Max Stamina before exit map(important) + good SCU, immediately chose Hide command if not already hiding on world map. On map's load, immediately crouch, open menu, equip totem, summon, summon draws agro, crouch + dodge slip, summon, rinse and repeat. (20 SCU perk crouch + dodge spam Lona move same speed as non stealth walking Lona)

But yeah, I get it, CAN't plan for everything , with how much BS Eccma add or change over the years, it's been hard to keep up but I think that's part of the fun. Truth is I still haven't fully committed to do a full virgin Doom mode run again but I'm itching to. I also agree with personal backup, if even Blizzard can fail to backup a hardcore server for their cashcows then I don't see the need to impose myself a ridiculous fate if one day my device fails me.

Looks like the most recent game is missing a file 40_Game_interpreter.rb

Does anyone have a prior version with this file?

Okay i just downloaded a file called that from this location

but when i did, i now see this picture.

Maybe its just an issue with Fish Camps?

EDIT - i think i got it

I added that rb file to the scripts folder,
then, i went into the file PB_FishcampA_BIOS_Begin.rb
then i found the line 16, and commented it out. Saved the file and tried again. and so far the game is working. I could go to that map that had the error. will test on the fish raft, and a few other locations

What did you write on line 16?

The dev confirmed it's a bug, but if we can fix it ourselves, I'm down lol.

Just do a succubus build man. It's the best build in the game. I've played it for years lol. Maybe not the most "op". But lemme tell ya, beating the game with mostly using lona's body is so satisfying.

I don't know why or how but everytime I try to use the console for any reason at all, when I press f10 to close it, it restarts the game nullifing anything I wanted to do

Lol, rebirth in general can be annoying. If you don't want to go through the process, just grab the Cheat mod and instantly change Lona's race to the one you desire.

is it just me or the current version (0.9.8.1.0) have some sort of light brightness problem, some instances are so dark that you can barely see 3x3 in front of you and anything else are just pitch black even when i have 20+ SCU buffed from hunter set, its downright unplayable rn

even with a lantern on an ext slot it only illuminates around you
holding it gives way more light but ofc now your offhand is taken

second pic are dead forest during daytime, both are holding lantern on ext1, town or forest seems fine on daylight but most instances just way too dark than the previous version of the game, like barely can even make out what the place is shaped like

It seems fake id papers don't work... I did the quest to save the Cocona by killing everything, Big Mom gave me fake papers, but it reset my reputation to 0.
What am I doing wrong?

I went and bought other fake id papers, but they don't work either.

I sold my original papers and then bought fake id papers, but it still doesn't work and resets my reputation to 0... What should I do?

With 0 reputation, everyone attacks me like I'm a criminal.

UPD:
Ah... I think I get it.
It seems that killing adds a hidden modifier with which the maximum reputation drops.
So I can't raise morale above 50 in this save.
As a result, reputation drops to 0 when buying fake id papers, because... Well, yeah... The maximum reputation is 50...
Ah... To hell with Cocona.

You can get more light if you change the game files. Find these 3 PNG files lantern, lona_light, lona_sight in folder Graphics\Lights. Resize the file if you want to make the light wider or lighten up if you want the light brighter. Im too tired of the lack of lights in those caves so i just figure it out.

Though I would assume that means that weather now affects light levels more.
