As someone who picked up the game recently and couldn't put it down I wanted to share some info that I found hard to find anywhere, or that was scattered all over. ZedTed's guide was last updated in 2021 for much older versions of the game. Sikisk added some addendums in 2023, but still a bit old. I wish some of the crazy detailed video guides posted here, like by RLJFZ, would be easier to locate since this thread has a thousand pages to it.

The "official" [wiki](https://lonarpg.miraheze.org/wiki/LonaRPG_Wiki) seems to be incomplete and out of date. I heard they had to migrate it from elsewhere, and that created a problem. It is being actively updated, and maybe I'll see if I can register to contribute.

In particular I wanted to talk about unadvertised features, special equipment, fast experience / levels / money / gold.

Anyways, hope someone else finds this helpful as a repository of minor information. If there are faster methods to level or make gold I'd love to know, this is just what I've figured out playing for the past few weeks. I'm still learning and experimenting since this game is surprisingly fun.

So I found out what I belive to be one of the best(and funniest) ways to make gold. Basically we want to kidnap monster babies and sell them to Elise, if you hit an enemy from behind while in stealth you can stun them, if you walk on a stuned baby and hit z(comfirm key) you will pick it up, then you just leave the area, enter again and repeat the process.

This works better with builds with high CON beacause you can carry more stuff(you can also rent a horse). This also works better if Lona is lactating(so the babbies don't run away) but with great timming and lots of stamina to run on the word map you can return to Elise before time passes.

I don't remember exactly how much money you make per baby but orc babies are the most expensive. If I remember correctly you can make 1 gold coin and few copper ones half a day.(By the way, I was farming babies in Northern Pass Sentry Tower, so you can also collect some loot and help survivors if you want to)

Whelp, I got my Abomination Lona, and I feel is needs some tweaks. Sickly needs more stacks with less severe effects per stack if it's going to proc every single morning, because even if you feed pretty often, you spend a ton of time sickly and chugging blue potions to remove it for a while. Vaginitis from being dirty overnight also needs to be outright removed; it's just annoying as it's one more thing to micromanage, and you aren't always near a body of water to wash. Together they are kind of ruining the run I was looking forwards to. I am enjoying melee more than magic, though, just for how much less fiddly it is.

Edit: I used the console to remove Sickly, and at the cost of the damage buff (a small price to pay) I seem to have retained pretty much everything else. Appearance, abilities, and recognised race. So unless something breaks later I think I'll leave it this way until, if, it's ever ever less... bad.

The irony here is, while Magic build is indeed harder to play at early game, it still got the most versatility among all builds. For example, with Abomination Totem you can summon a Malicious Spore that can create a puddle of blood in which Lona is able to wash off the dirt (The Dirty stack can also be reduced by wearing the Whore and Sex Doll outfits), that puddle of blood also allow for stealth killing neutral NPC without reducing morality, like here (IF the Malicious Spore explodes by itself):

It also makes robbing the bank pretty easy:

On top of that, this same Abomination Totem allows you to summon a monster that you can kill and absorb to remove not only a stack of Sickly but Sick as well (Very effective in dealing with problems like having no NPC around or Lona being in her period and getting a Sick debuff, so you just go and use your summon as an alternative solution). Magic in itself combined with Abomination race allows Lona to be near self-sufficient. It also combos well with other builds, like here (Note that picking a Personality will lock you out of using all 3 builds together):

I think Abomination is already correctly balanced. If anything, this race is actually broken. Though I wouldn't want it to be nerfed since it's broken in a very good and fun way. The only reason it's hard to manage is if we didn't have enough info on how to effectively manage it. As for Magic in early play, it's best to play it along with the other builds to cover up for its weakness. At high WIS, Magic becomes the most powerful and most flexible damage dealer in the entire game. It's like a Magikarp turning into a Gyarados lol.

Oh, sure, it's just pretty annoying to manage when I'm doing stuff in town away from corpses - like the Gladiator matches or if a day simply passes without me noticing. I don't so much want it rebalancing as made less INITIALLY punishing. So, we always have 1 stack, and then the second stack is added after that. It seems to be 2 stack total, for all the effects, because mine never climbed above that even if I neglected eating corpses (unless I'm bugged? I did Rebirth from an old save.) This means that if you miss a single bath and don't have handy corpse, bam, you are over encumbered and have a gross bloody vag. I would propose you start with your 1 stack, can get 1 more stack after a day that gives you a very minor debuff to stamina and a very minor one to attack, and THEN the second/thrid day (depending how you reckon it) without eat feeding would start with the encumbrance issues and dirty consequence debuffs. It would just make it less fiddly to micomanage. I hate micromanagement.

When I get to a really decent level, with all the items already in my bank, I may Rebirth into a high-level mage in some future update. I usually go back every time in fantasy games. But I'm honestly enjoying a sword and board Abomination-sans-sickly right now, just because of how LonaRPG plays. Being able to drag my enemies to me and to be already practically on top of their corpses to devour them for health and stamina restoration feels pretty fun, and I suspect will only get more so once I move on from the saber to the katana or Gutt' sword eventually.

I actually thought my Lona was in danger from some wolves earlier because their sprites are rocking some very obvious red rockets, but they just ripped her apart and ate her instead. So I'm guessing it's intended at some point, or maybe was, and got left out for local dev legal reasons.

Is it worth using (and does it work with the latest update)? I considered signing up with a throwaway email, but the game updates often enough that I don't want to end up always waiting on/wishing for mod to update alongside it. An actual mage outfit is tempting, though.

Very worth it. This mod is being actively worked on and has the highest additional content out of any mods. Although it takes time for the modder to update it, understandably. Usually, this mod is only supposed to work on a specific version of the game, with the public version being made for v0.9.8.0.7. There may be very rare occasion where this mod work on the latest version but I haven't tried yet.

Quick question, so I haven't updated the game in a long time. And I see where you're supposed to "reset the map". What does this mean? Does this mean leaving the current area I'm in? Or do I need to immediately rebirth and go into new game+?

You have 2 ways here and you already wrote about them. For example, I using 1st way - just leaving from area and doing save on the world map (works great but after 3rd time doing this I get some problems/bugs with game so I made rebirth to fix that).

The correct version number of that update is 0.9.8.1 (or if we're being pedantic: B.0.9.8.1)

It only goes to a fifth number segment in the updates between. Though I'll let you off the hook since that version is already outdated (latest is 0.9.8.1.1)

Yeah. The save from the og isn't at all compatible with this mod and vice versa. This mod is basically treated like it's another game since there's a lot of things that have been modified. So it's best to make another set of saves that's exclusive to this mod.

Other than that, personally speaking, while Roleplay-S has higher amount of contents, I still overall prefer the og game since the Trait building there isn't as restricted as in this mod. For example, in order to use a Katana in the og, you're only required to reach level 15 and select the Weapon Knowledge trait, whereas in Roleplay-S, to use a Katana you're required to reach a much higher level as well as assigning 25 trait points in both STR and AGI and ticking all of the traits that branch towards the trait that will let you equip the Katana. The big positive though is that selecting Acolyte trait in this mod doesn't lock the other Physical and Magical builds, which means that you can make a build that's akin to a Paladin (Physical+Healer) or an Inquisitor (Magic+Healer) which isn't possible to do in the og.

you cant expect a translation to every hot off the press release. many developers dont translate their works texts for releases.

i believe rescuing girls exp is bugged in current version
you can get like 10k >> 50k exp from rescue per girl
best place is fishtoia harvest cave

thats applicable for any rescue. good exp. though caves are harder imo. fish could random move to any hostages easily.

yes there are download links, or references for the download link or makers pages. to keep it legit.

FYI, NOT all dungeon victims are the same
they have rankings > Normal / Moot / Rich < they have different exp/coin on rescue
unfortunately you cant tell who is who, so save em all

the rich one typically moves slightly faster. so yes you can see the difference. and yes values are currently bugged with straight multiplication instead of multiplying by percentages. you would likely get a a tenth of that or less.

This error occurred after I installed Roleplay mode. I don't know what the problem is. Does anyone know about this error?

well you might want to use deepl.com translater and visit the makers page on raidgame to ask your question to them or report an error. they might help more. also, you'd have to have a compatible game ver.

After reaching level 32 and doing a lot of missions - my verdict is: this game is a waste of time. The sex scenes are almost identical in every case, the combat is a frustrating parody and the quests are all about the same things over and over again. My rating is 2/10. One point for the overall concept and style, the other for some dialogues and a few good NPCs. In short - not worth it, stay away

You're not wrong, but I'm not even playing for the sex at this point. I find the world and setting oddly interesting and engrossing.
