    I like Lona.
I like how the story unfolds.
I like the game mechanics (although its really hard if you don't know how it works).
I am enjoying it so far.
    The controls are A-ok.
The game has a huge potential as it is ongoing.

I do want to say i absolutely LOVE this game and can't wait to see it be updated even more.

my only criticism is currently being enslaved is brutal. like you get enslaved and get gangbanged or fucked and your stamina is real low to the point you have to crawl everywhere (which is VERY slow) or fucked until you get knocked out which causes in many cases you to be punished.

the most forgiving enslavement ive come across was the Fishmen which have a "Begging" mechanic where you can beg for food and outside the slave hut is plenty of food laying around!
but the festival that goes on everyday leaves you so fucked that you get knocked out...which leads to punishment.

other than that criticism i absolutely adore this game so far.

also thank you to @CaiNanE for his that fixed up some of the parts of the game that weren't translated yet like the arena and several missions.

One thing that comes to mind i'd love to see is for Elise to have some breast enlargement surgery but that's just my wishful thinking.
Maybe a camping mechanic for when you are in the wild so you can sleep fully (with a chance of danger/being discovered)

If Eccma417 sees this, please keep up the amazing work!

What can I say that others haven't?
The game is very challenging, probably harder than Dark Souls in some aspects. There are a few bugs, but considering the game is mostly developed by one person, I cannot really complain. This is also very different compared to other RPGMaker games, so that's pretty pog. All in all, while this review is quite shit, and *probably* nobody will read this, I can recommend this game. Incase anyone actually read this, thank you for your time, and goodbye.

    Excellent
My biggest desire when I play a Porn game is a great gameplay and a good difficulty, I know is kind backwards to want a porn game where the last thing on you mind is your boner, but visual novel make me ask why I'm not just watching porn
Anyway LonaRpg is great, Its hard, scary, and brutal, I crashed a few time but I'll leave that to being still in development, same with the translation
The combat is a somewhat annoying cause Lona need to take a nap every 10 swing or you knee gave in and you end up with needles in you pussy, But that's part of the fun

    Suffering / 5
This is not even Dark Soul level difficulty, it's worse.

To start off, this is not your usual RPGmaker game, it's action-packed game where you die in less than 5 seconds if you just blindy swing your weapon around. Conserve your force, only use it when needed, if possible, use your wits instead to get through areas.

At the end of the game you will surely stand upon mountain of corpses that you somehow manage to slay along the way. But make no mistake, Lona is no hero, she's even weaker than a goblin after all, a frail and weak deceased merchant's daughter that have to survive the harsh reality of medieval world infested with monsters.

What advantage Lona has over other NPC? It's you, the player, you will be guiding her through this harsh journey, preparing for food, scouting for battles and preparing the right tools for the right moments.

I bid you good luck, players, guide Lona to the future she deserves.

amazing game with great variety of weapon combat for something that build on an rpgm engine. lots people keep complaining about games to hard seem to fail to realize u not suppose to wander off to wilderness alone right off the the bat get some damn soup or beer to get yourself some companions or just go get fuck in the arse both figuratively and literally since u suppose to be playing as a weak peasant girl, which remind me of that scene in berserk manga when the peasant get violated by the troll and the other villagers cant do jack beside watch. This game might be the dark soul of rpgm

This game pretty good as far as RPGM games go. It's difficult the first few times you attempt at it. Between trying to figure out what stats are good for what and in what order you should get them and learning how to do the combat system, you may have to restart your character a few times.

Combat: The combat system is decent. It's brutal, so taking the time to plan out your attack strategies, where to stealth, or when to run is very important. The NPCs love to dodge, so having a closed corridor or trapping them with the help of companion NPCs is almost vital, and it should be done if possible. Make sure you have a companion NPC whenever possible when doing anything that is not stealth based.

Quests: The quests on average are decent, but they weren't so straight forward all the time. Make sure you take the time to read them, because once you've accepted the quests, you can't review the quest (one of the major flaws I find with this game.)

Translations: The base translations that come with the game are ok. Better than MTL, but you can tell that the person doesn't speak English on a native level. However, the community translations are phenomenal. Very minimal problems, and they push out new translations after every patch and for files that the creator hasn't translated yet. That being said, you do need to make sure you use the search function in the thread to find it as it's not pinned to the OG post.

Design and Visuals: The visuals are good, but I wish there was a little more contrast. The map designs are interesting, and they aren't overly complex. The randomization on each overworld tile is pretty simple, and it keeps the game from being overly monotonous when searching for resources (especially in the rain forests).

Bugs: The 4.6.1 is buggy as hell, and it crashes all the time when interacting with stuff. As a result, make sure to save frequently. There is a download link for 4.6.2 that resolves most of the issues, but like the community translations, it's not on the OG post. A thread search pulls it up pretty quickly.

Overall Game Play: It's grindy. Very grindy. What is an RPG game without grind though? Get used to dying a lot when starting out, and even later on if you mess up. As I mentioned, the Combat system is brutal. Taking the time to plan out your gameplay will prevent you from accidentally putting trait points in areas you do not need. For example, if you are going to be a prostitute/sex demon, you do not need many points into Scoutcraft (I'd still put a few in just for the lighting and speed bonuses and the ability to stealth when needed.)
Being pregnant in this game absolutely sucks. During one of the phases, the constant vomiting will wear out your ears, and it drains both your STA and SAT (stamina and food stats). The next phases include the baby moving in you, which damages your health and STA with increasing frequency. Not to mention birthing, which consumes a ton of STA. Also if you do decide to get pregnant, have tons of food or stamina recovery potions by the fifth phase (baby delivery). Otherwise, exhaustion followed by food deprivation will kill you.
Getting captured in this game early on will inevitably lead to your death, during which you have very small windows in which you are able to open up the menu. If you miss them, you are forced to watch repeated rape and abusive cut scenes, and there is nothing you can do. The second major flaw I find with this game is you can't open the menu during sex, while being raped, or during cut scenes. This means if you get caught in a loop of being raped and being forced into cut scenes, it's faster to restart the game if it's apparent you are going to die. Getting out of jail or mercenary imprisonments are incredibly difficult, and you are likely going to die.

    Final ratings:
    3/5 Overall Game Play
    4/5 Combat
    3.5/5 Quests
    4/5 Translations
    5/5 Visuals/Designs
    2/5 Play-ability (4.6.1) 4/5 (4.6.2)

    Final rating: 3/5 (4.6.1) and 4/5 (4.6.2)
Final Comments: Honestly, if active quests had notes appear in the note menu, it'd make this game so much better. A few times I've come back and completely forgotten what I was working towards or where I needed to go. Being able to open the menu during sex/rape/cut scenes would also be great.
I quite enjoy the many different routes you can take. It's fun to play the game and to see what things are easier and harder based off the path you've chosen.
I also like that the quests aren't all linear. You can leave one area and do quests elsewhere, and you aren't locked out of areas because of quests.

So, I've put a bunch of hours into LonaRPG, and it is time to make review of it. I will start out by describing it and then later break it down for some quick reading.

This game is quite unique in both style and game play. Especially the art is not everyone. It is quite abusive and dark in nature, but if you prefer some heavy consequences to your failures, then this game would probably fit you.

You play as Lona, a girl who is trying to escape the squalor and danger of the world that she lives in. But to even do that, she has to survive everyday. That is quite trivial in most RPG's, but not here. You need food, sleep and avoid danger. There are many dangers in the world; everything from monsters to brigands and even just people who walk by.

This survival aspect of the game makes it very interesting to me, as you constantly has to make a living. Should you fail, you will often get captured and forced into prostitution or worse. Now this game isn't like most other games where horrible things happens to the MC and she just shakes it off the second later. Lona actually reacts to the things that happen to her, and her mood will obviously go in the drain if she is assaulted.

Some say that Lona looks like a little girl. Well, maybe, but she isn't. Some women just have small boobs, and it is somewhat refreshing to have a game where you don't play like the girl-with-cow-tits. Even the in-game NPC's comment that she looks small because of her lack of forms. Lastly, the game even have pregnancy, which to me means that mistakes are so much heavier punished because you have to be careful not to get pregnant.

Alright, let me cut it down for some quick reading:

    The good:
    • It's a dark and flavorful world
    • You get to live through your mistakes. You can (maybe) escape captivity.
    • Surviving is not granted. You need to work for it.
    • You can take Lona through different paths.
    • Mistakes are punished.
    • The art is unique.
    The in-between
    • I'd wish that there were more stuff to do, and that the nature of quests would be diversified.
    • Adding some love interests would be flavorful and interesting.
    • More world-building could also be interesting.
    • Not all parts of the game are translated.
    • It would be quite interesting to see the effect of having a regular supply of food. For instance not getting enough food should see Lona be at the state she is at the start of the game - perhaps even more skinny. Getting enough, and also high-quality food should see her take on a bit of weight which perhaps also could be seen on the boobs.

    The bad:
    • It crashes a bit too frequently.
    • Combat is not smooth. I don't think it should cost stamina to miss.
    • Pregnancy takes waaaay too long and the mechanics are a bit annoying. Yes, it takes 9 months IRL, but I'm not sitting around 9 months of in-game time.
    • The game can be a bit obscure in how it works and what different stuff means.
I think you should give it a try, but I can see why not everybody would like the theme or art.

You know you're in for a rough ride when the difficulties are Hard, Hell and Doom. I went into the game and immediately fucked up the tutorial, which led to a start with no spear, no food, and sadness all around.

Then I realized the game isn't actually that bad if you start off properly. In all fairness, I was an idiot for skipping the tutorial.

If you're a casual, I'd say back away or wait until future patches implement more content, which in turn will allow for more diverse starts. Fights can be gimmicky, I've hit more allies than I have enemies at times.

Gotta love the little references they added in the game. Fairly certain Orcbolg would kill Goblins for free instead of a bowl of soup,

I do want to mention I'm not a fan of the Home page, as I don't think it's appropriate to incorporate politics into video games. I'm a HK Canadian so i kinda know how the guy feels feel, but let's keep it civil.

Can't wait for the game to be fully out so I can buy it.

Fuck me this is a traumatizing experience, first time I played I got beaten to death in the street by loan sharks after escaping a goblin rape cave. Now I can kill everyone in Noer with my asshole. Dev is a nice guy, works very hard on the game I recommend you buy it.

unique in its own way and lots of story to it also the difficulty to it that you don't see in other games. Though leveling is hard and tedious to do the survival base side really stands out as you have to watch out from being killed by a lot of things good that new weapons are being added in. Be nice if could also add in more skills to the tree to give more different game plays, But a good game so far compared to others showing a more grim life to adventuring and troubles to endure. Still needs a lot of translating for it though. A good erotic feature is, that it doesn't involve just the main character at least and its not just about Lona going through this grim life. The grim ending for one of the characters made your choice stand out more and helps liven up the story either good or erotic.

This is clearly a well made game, but is far too difficult and overly complex in my opinion. I just wish the content could be within a easier to play game. I've tried a few times to get into it, but overall it's disapointing.

    Well, I played it
I'll tell you right away the game is 10/10
The original, the best, and of all I've played
Even when everything has passed, playing is not boring
Add the possibility of building a house and creating your own community
    goblin fishermen, etc
These projects often have little funding for major upgrades.
And the further fate of the game depends not only on sponsorship but also on the desire of eccma417

First off, this game is NOT a traditional H-Game in any way aside the fact that it is a topdown RPG. It throws most things you think you know about these types of games out the window and lights it on fire. I would even go as far and say this is not an H-Game at all, it fills a very disturbing niche but it does it in a excellent and unique way.

Stylistically it's clearly influenced by LISA: the painful (check it out on Steam) and is overall extremely dark and gloomy. It gives off Darkest Dungeon vibes, regarding overall game difficulty as well as atmosphere. More about H content later on.

The RPG system is insanely fleshed out and deep, with stats, debuffs, movement speed, stamina, food, character mood and much more. In that regard, I would give the game 5 out of 5 stars as there has been a lot of effort put into the fundamentals of the game. However, in a weird way that is also the game's biggest downfall. The complex RPG system and unforgiving difficulty together with the super sinister artstyle does not pair at all with the expectation you would have of an H-Game. At times you are literally just trying to survive, looking for food and shelter, hoping you dont get ambushed by a group of bandits, which more often than not ends in permadeath and the MC quite literally destroyed.

Like mentioned earlier, the artstyle is very sinister and so is the H-Content. If you get a kick out of someone getting kicked (heh) and beat to a pulp, then this game will definitely do the trick for you, no doubt. This is basically one step below full blown amputee murder H content to put it that way. (please mind that I only played about 4 hours so maybe I missed that lol)
Death, despair, corpses and torture would probably sum up the topics the best way.

tld;dr. This game is a really well made and absolutely unforgiving RPG with taboo themes, BUT it is not suitable for fapping whatsoever in my opinion, unless you got a few screws loose which is also perfectly fine I guess.

(Played 0.4.4.3) LonaRPG hints at being so much better than it is, but is hamstrung early on by some basic issues that make it excessively frustrating to play. This is doubly unfortunate as it actually seems like it could be a decent game with a standout style/genre against the tsunami of VNs that apparently dominate adult gaming.

In particular, there are two main issues that made me put this down permanently after ~1.5 hours - nonsensical controls and frequently getting locked into events with no way to skip. RPGM games often work well with a controller and this is my preferred way to play them, but while Lona has made an attempt to accommodate controllers, they've gone overboard in separating similar functions on to separate buttons - why is loot/pickup/interact a different button from attack when they both advance dialog? Also regarding dialog, this falls into the same trap many RPGM games do of presenting dialog/interaction choices on a new window instead of at the end of another, making it very easy to instantly select the wrong option if you're trying to speed through the text. As for the events, in my relatively brief time with Lona, I was pulled into "cutscenes" that I could do nothing about (including being unable to open the menu to quit/reload) but button mash through the text multiple times. Perhaps losing control could be viewed as somehow related to the theme of the game, but taking it to the extent that you have to get through these events to even get to the menu just makes this not very fun and eliminated my willingness to spend more time with the game.

I've set a watch on this and will absolutely return when the game hits completed or gets abandoned, and will update my rating at that time if things have changed/improved. As it stands, I'm giving this 2/5 but if the issues I've described don't sound like they'd bother you and/or you're on the fence about trying Lona out, I'd say you should at least give it a try. With some very straightforward quality-of-life work, this would immediately be 3/5, maybe even 4/5.

So far, many game im playing on RPG both that not R18+ or R18+, but i can say that this game is the best list of RPG game im play, its amazing to see how actually chaos is medival when morality is low and economic is depending on Character LVL.

Maybe its bit confusing and Hard for new player manage money, stamina, hunger etc. but after play for while and read a general guide, its very fun to play also there is potential for Speed run or harder difficulty.

Also im looking forward for more story bcus i want to see How is multiple ending this game have might be in future

I don't think I've ever enjoyed an adult game like this. It's not just hot, but fun to play. The world feels like it's living and breathing. Seven hours in, and I'm just scratching the surface.

    The good:
    + Great art style.
    + Good RPG system.
+ Plenty of content, and with more to come.
    + Fun quests.
    + Good gameplay.
    + Presents a proper challenge.
    + Good dialogue (overall).
    + Good music/sound.

    The bad:
    - The focus is pretty much exclusively on non-con, with some dub-consensual tossed in here and there (if you look hard enough, e.g. in that cult church).
    - If you don't like urine, you're missing a whole lot of content. If you can't stomach scat (which is fairly subdued), you're also missing some content.
    - Some stats/skills/recipes/gameplay elements are difficult to understand.
    - Pregnancy can be a chore.
    - The AI is retarded, although some enemies are cleverly designed and can block your path semi-intelligently, etc.

    The in-between:
~ Certain scenarios / chance events are difficult or pretty much impossible to survive, especially if you get captured.
~ Early game, it's difficult to even feed yourself / survive if you're new to LonaRPG.
~ Lewd mood? Unless you're good at escaping, or prostituting yourself, you'd better save before getting fucked - or it can be game over. And even if you do, you can say goodbye to your hard-earned items (unless you stash them prior / are plenty rich).
~ Performance can be hit-and-miss on weaker systems.

    The truly special:
+ Flat-chested, female protagonist in a good game (rare).
    + The art.
+ Almost every aspect of the gameplay.
+ Directed game design. Games like Violated Heroine are fun, but feel like they're of two minds (or many more) with rushed sub-plots, unused locations, bugs for days. Not here. What's there is polished.

LonaRPG is a work of genius, and the best RPG maker game I've played. I'm eager to see how it develops.

The combat has been slightly revamped, now you are able to hold alt to not walk and change your facing which actually made the difference between an annoying feature and an actual fun game. While the combat has been revamped, it is still somewhat counterintuitive if you don't remap the actions on the numbers over your keys, mostly because they are still marked as 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and if you had touched any recent MMO, you would be hitting those keys and wondering why your character does nothing.

Regardless of your weapon of choice, the "stamina bar" still depletes a lot leaving you in disvantage against the infinite energy from the enemies.

I find out that you actually need to play the tutorial, skipping it will leave your character in full disvantage unless you build up a prostitute character which is the "merchant" build if you ask me.
When you skip this tutorial, you lose a sword and a pitchfork that are way better than your log. also picking those mice and maggots can give you a bunch of food that otherwise would be not available.
I downloaded this thinking it would be like a post-apocaliptic game, and not exactly for the lewd content. I can see it is progressing on the way how weapons are handled, still the lack of a real swinging weapon puts you in high disvantage against groups or enemies.
If anyone wonder why i rated it "average" instead of "higher" with the stars I gave it, it is because it's not a bad game, but the mechanics are still way more punishing than anything. It makes the first Fallout game to look like Zelda or Fable in comparison.

Unique type of rpg i've played before reminds me a bit of dungeons and prisoners but different mechanics. Love every bit of the game interactions so far and there's so much you can do and interact with most characters. Lots of events and story pathing and skill trees.
