I'm having a problem with the new 0.9.6.1 version... my screen gets covered and all i have is the big booba mod and cheat mod on.

Do you have the correct versions of the mods for 0.9.6.0.1?

What order are they in the mods list? [shouldn’t matter, but I always have Cheat Menu at the bottom]

Was this a clean install of game version B.0.9.6.0.1?

Mod Updated
Cheat Menu Framework (a.k.a CMF or Cheat Menu)
The old Cheats Mod, reworked to use modules to add new cheats.

Announcement:
v1.0-rc.11.1 packages on Github, no uploads on MEGA until v1.0
Use v1.0-rc.9.1 for game version 0.9.3.0

Compatibility:
  • Minimum required game version: 0.9.4.0.4
  • For older game versions, check the previous releases for a compatible mod version.

Before installing the mod:
Ensure that the old cheat mod and the dependency are not installed as they are not compatible with this mod and will result in crashes.

Now make sure you can answer yes to the following question:
  1. Have you set the game path in NyxLauncher?
  2. Have you launched the game to the title screen at least once?
After installing the mod:
  1. Did your archive extractor of choice add a folder with the archive filename? <------- For this one, if you answered yes, the mod will NOT work regardless of if it shows up in nyxlauncher.
Quick tutorial video on installing (super basic)

Notice:
Cheat Menu Framework does not nor has it ever provided the console. That feature is built into the game (See Data/Scripts/Frames/RVscript/520_YanflyF10.rb within the game files)

Important Information:
Any archive I share must be extracted how I say (if applicable), not into a folder with the archive name. The file/folder structure within is exactly how it needs to be for where it is to be extracted.

Known Issues:
  • Hive Hearts summoned on maps without H_BIOS storypoints crash the game. Only summon them if you wish to farm them on their actual maps. (If anyone knows how to recreate these storypoints in code if they don't exist in the current area, feel free to make and share a patch to the Summon feature)
  • Having all 3 Infinite Stats cheats enabled causes lag to a noticeable degree. (Configurable variant ONLY)
  • Some things don't change when changing languages. This is a problem with even the game itself, so restart after switching languages.
  • NoFriendlyFire mod causes Undefined method "+" on nilClass crash if Companion's projectiles hit player code is uncommented.
  • [Will NOT be changed] There is no default language fallback implemented in the mod, so if you use the MTL in the game itself, you MUST create the MTL folder in the mod too. This is by design as the mod relies on the language as set by the game. The MTL tool can be tricked into translating the mod, but the language the tool uses as a source is Google Translated from English and will be inaccurate. The only languages included in the mod that are confirmed accurate are English (being my native language) and Russian (see Credits spoiler)

If upgrading, be sure to remove the mod entirely before installing the update. Details to why are on the github release.

To keep existing mod settings and customized CheatModule load orders, backup UserData/GameCheats.ini and ModScripts/_Mods/Cheats Mod/loadorder.json

After updating, to restore these 2 files:
  1. Launch the game and allow the mod to create the UserData/cheatmenu/ folder and the default config files [UserData/cheatmenu/config.ini and UserData/cheatmenu/loadorder.json]
  2. Rename GameCheats.ini to config.ini
  3. Move both files into the UserData/cheatmenu/ folder, overwriting when prompted.
Only for game versions 0.9.4.0.4 and above.

Those still on game version 0.9.3.0:
Continue to use mod version 1.0-rc.9.1

Thank you for the mod.
But I'm having trouble figuring out where to place the whole "Cheat-Menu-Framework-1.0-rc.11" folder, after NyxLauncher was removed from the game.
I'm on B.0.9.4.0.4 . Have already booted the game once and haven't used any versions of your mod before.
I looked at your video tutorial but that video assumed NyxLauncher still is in the game, and that the mod folder was called "Modular Cheat Mod" or something.

I feel like I'm missing something obvious here, but I cannot for the life of me figure out where to put the cheat mod folder, the very latest one I just downloaded from Github.
Does it go in LonaRPG root folder? Inside ModScripts? _Mods ? It's entirely unclear.
Please help?

Initially I really tried to follow this game and the updates, and I remember playing this when it was first announced. I went to have a look at what has changed since I played it back in 2023 but I feel absolutely lost when every single changelog line is just something like:
-*added, ACH DefeatSpawnPoolWithoutDedOne.

The hell does this mean? What's an ACH? Is this a specific event? Is it a general event? Now imagine this every update.

Is there a hero who can provide a footnote summary of what significant things have actually been added recently without speaking the dev's code?

Ooh so that means the game is almost complete?
hard to say, games like this often just keep getting more content. new routes, new endings, and so on. Author might also just switch gears to a new game once happy with the state of this one. I'm kinda hoping there is a 'hero' ending where we kill the source of the abomination and live happily ever after. Granted this is grimdark so not likely the author will make an ending like that... but we'll see.
