I'd call this a survival game with horror elements before I'd ever call this an H game. Most of the H content is completely repulsive which is fine because it's still fun and interesting.
I suppose, still I feel like it's a waste of the game's potential in terms h-content because the game's fantasy nature gives it almost unparalleled freedom in that regard.
Well to be fair you're kinda right, nothing stops him from adding some futa-character, and the game content isn't exactly restricted. However do consider that it's virtually impossible that he'll concentrate on adding a lot of futa-girls, looking at what content the game has now. If anything, it'll be just another unique character with next to no content in near future. Which is why for futa you really have to choose another game, like Meredian.

It's not that it's wrong per se. It's one or both of these things:
1) They personally don't like Futanari stuff
2) They'd rather see where the story goes from here
Adding more pr0n content would only delay the story progression. He's going to add more pr0n (I'm almost certain) but I doubt there'll be that many more races available to canoodle with.
The pr0n is secondary to the gameplay in this case rather than it being integral. You don't even need to be farked to push the story forward. Frankly, it's games that use sex to push the story that I find to be more boring.

There is no central plot to the game, other than ''your hometown was destroyed, get enough money to escape the island''. There are quests and you meet and interact with characters and sometimes get followers out of that, but there is basically no plot focus.

Really? Because it seems kind of strange to me to create this complex h-system developed to meticulous details and then going ''meh, fuck it, I want this to be a quest based A-rpg''.

I mean, that's perfectly fine, but then why have the h-interaction at all? Like I don't get it either you want it to be fap worthy or there is no point.
