is anyone disturbed or genuinely sick on how dark this game is? As a new player, I have to just express: holy fuck the setting is downright grimdark-dark. Never played a game so depressing and horrific. There's no love in this game. Sex is brutal, hole tearing rape, prostitution, or being reduced to cattle/slavery and solely mass producing monsters. This is like a more fucked up version of fear and hunger. Like damn, talk about cranking the fucking dial to eleven.
You know what, I challenge myself to avoid every of that and play it perfectly by savescumming, she only got harassed by the 9 inch tribe and climaxed twice during the fertility god quest. Weird thing about the quest is, I killed the pig guy and got -100 moral on screen, then it recovers after I talk to the witch to complete the quest. Good thing about this game is, you can choose to be her plot armor.

-100 moral for murder is a temporary moral loss, and effects people in the area you are in if they spot you while low moral. If you hide long enough while on a map (not overworld) it goes away. This means if you kill someone and then get spotted while -100 moral, then it wears off, your still agro'd by the people who know you as a killer.

Its an RPG maker game design quirk but it works perfectly fine as long as you understand what you are reading. Moral should probably have a tutorial tbh.

Alongside the temp -100 (probably more) moral lost, you will also incur a varying degree of moral lost (based on difficulty, dunno if changed) for killing someone that belongs to the "good" side of the island. Either cough a hefty sum of money to buy back moral, buy fake paper or spend time rescuing damsels

Edit: to clarify, it's not about good or evil (moral scale/alignment), it's all about being on the good side of the law. So if you kill a fat fuck of a rapist but said rapist is a high ranking priest or nobleman then sorry but you will have to live with 0 morality cuz you broke the law of the island. I've been thinking about this, why not name it Crime degree instead of morality.

Okay, people.

For those who don't like the new forest sprites, you're welcome.
Just replace the game's "Data" folder.
I'm really curious. Why would someone not like the new design? It looks darker, gloomier and thus in line with the rest of the world, but more importantly, it looks less like a cheap RPG design made by a newbie, I think the improvement was very substantial over what it was. Those trees were just cartoonish looking.

I don't know... It's too... Many details...
This forest weighs 0.3 of the game... It's just crazy.

I've caught myself more than once trying to get a banana from a tree, but it's just part of a sprite, or trying to get some pine cones.
Finding mushrooms or herbs is just as difficult.

Or I've just gotten stuck in branches and couldn't find my way out of the forest because everything around me is blocked by those branches.
I like the minimalist old design much better.
And I really want back the old sprites.

it does, the one found on the wiki works with version in OP. I think mod placement in queue has its importance, for me it is placed at the bottom
If it had been coded correctly the load order would not matter.

The mod completely replaces the level_up function, when it should be aliasing the original before replacing it (a.k.a: override) and then calling the original function (either before or after the mod does its thing) [also applies to any mod that breaks the "1 lvl = 3 stat point" mod]

This is the same reason why when multiple mods use the code from the unused "DEMO_ModGraphicsPath" mod without changing the alias, only the last loaded of those mods works.

In fact, here's how I would of coded this mod:

It's the usual process of getting used to new stuffs. But mind you, the old forest sprites was still very pretty, I slept to the sound of rain forest and Nier background music, still do.

There is something calming about the night crickets in the rainforest.
And those Nier background music pieces are classical music, copyright free.
For example; you may recognize 'Holst: The Planets, OP. 32: II. Venus, the Bringer of Peace'

Does the 1 lvl = 3 stat point mod not work anymore?
do you have multiple mods that affect stat point on level up such as roleplay mod?
roleplay mod has a higher priority then normal stat boosting mods

if you are using Roleplay-S
LonaRPG\lonarpg_B09808\LonaRPG\ModScripts\_Mods\RolePlayS\Scripts\25_Skills

find and edit these numbers

def level_up # Для Безликой
Level += 1
# Доп. ед. навыка в зависимости от лвл
if self.stat["Faceless"] == 1
case Level
when 1..33 then @trait_point += 4 <<<
when 34..66 then @trait_point += 3 <<<
when 67..99 then @trait_point += 2 <<<
end
elsif self.stat["Faceless"] == 0
@trait_point += 3 <<<
end
