Is there a trick to making the Broken Katana effective? I cheesed getting it, because I wanted an upgrade for my Saber & Shield, and not only do I lose the defence (which I expected) it actually seems far, far weaker than the Saber which means it's not even giving me a benefit for that loss. I'm going to go try for the False God Slayer tomorrow, since that allows you to block like a shield, as maybe it'll be what I'm looking for. Otherwise I guess I'm stuck with the Saber until I eventually Rebirth back into a mage.

After reaching level 32 and doing a lot of missions - my verdict is: this game is a waste of time. The sex scenes are almost identical in every case, the combat is a frustrating parody and the quests are all about the same things over and over again. My rating is 2/10. One point for the overall concept and style, the other for some dialogues and a few good NPCs. In short - not worth it, stay away

You either really love the game or really hate it. I agree with your critics regarding H-scene but completely disagree with the other ones especially regarding gameplay as I think it has some of the most well crafted gameplay mechanics out of any existing RPGMaker games, but I can understand the frustration of trying to survive and micromanage the adventure as a beginner, it's not for everyone.

wait so equipping and using the totem items from the *kill the Pig quest* removes the morality debuff when descrating corpses?
never knew that, always went for the high quality weapons and dual wielded saber + enchanted dagger with the occasional stun traps
mage builds feels so slow at earlier levels

It doesn't remove the morality debuff from desecration though. But yeah Mage build feels slower at first, which is why if you wanna have a good time, combo it with other builds or focus on another build and then rebirth and spec into Mage build once you reach a certain level.

Almost every weapon in this game has their own use. There's very little amount of weapons that powercreep another. Saber has a DEF ignore effect, which is why it does good damage even against tanky ennemies at 0 COM. In the case of Katana, it also has a DEF ignore effect but only on the second hit of the charge ability 1, which takes time to pull up. What makes Katana unique however is the counterattack that blocks then stun the ennemies for a brief moment, such stun effect combo well with other skill such as Juicing as it gives enough window to cast it, like here:

There's also the +5 ATK buff stack that you gain from each successful hit, going up to 7 stacks, amounting to a total of +35 ATK buff which is the equivalent of 70 COM, enormous buff. One example on how to take advantage of Katana's ATK buff using the tentacle as a punching bag for maximizing the stack (Note that the tentacle will hit Lona back IF it didn't focus its attention on another NPC and IF it hit or got hit by an ennemy):

On top of that, there's also the fact that you can phase through some entity with charge ability 3, allowing for this type of strategy to be done with a wall of tentacles.

You see, nukige type players who just want hot smexy insta female corruption hscenes or "gallery plz" players will never mess well with this kind of game cuz they aren't there for a game (let alone a hardcore micromanage survival game), they are there for a quick wank. This is just daily occurrence, nothing new.

my plan is to hide or remove the vaginal sex option, is quite simple and idk how i gonna inplement it, sorry if is not what you looking for, maybe in the future something like this would be possible, but that would require reworking the game from the ground up which not a easy task, is a lot better make a entire new game with mechanics like lona, not gonna lie i would love to make an game like lona in the future, but that's is when a get a lot better with my coding skills

It's viable, but you need to grind for some trait points and sex level in order to pull some good damage out of both juicing and magic.

I think I've seen you in this thread since quite a long time ago, were you always struggling since then? What race of Lona are you playing? What level is your Lona? What's your trait build?

My personal general tip would be to play Lona as a mixed race (Moot+Abomination). Compared to all other races, this one makes my run on almost every single build several times more fun and satisfying. Playing another race other than this makes me feel like Lona is suffering from disability.

As far as Mage build goes for early play, there's a way to pull it off. However you need to be meticulous and smart about the way you use those spells at low level, since they're not strong enough to be effectively used in chaotic battle, which you may not find fun to execute. Since you're looking for a 'fun' way to play mage, I advise you to follow my guide in my signature, rebirth into a mixed race (Moot+Abomination) and play a mixed build if you want to have a good time at low level (combining Physical, Magic and Succubus build, exception being Healer build since this build gets locked the moment you select any of the other builds). At low level, Magic will be mostly used for utility purpose (like Fire Book's stun, Tornado's mob control, Fire DoT injury infliction, etc) until you raise WIS high enough to get the advantage of its damage. Succubus build at low level with no Nymphomaniac personality will at least be able to effectively kill/stun some little mobs such as goblin, hobos, etc until you get Whore of Babylon and raise CON to at least 10 (20-22 is preferable and should be the stopping point, no more than this as having too much sex attacks will mean less way to stun the NPC, you want to stun/disable NPC instead of killing them outright). Since Physical doesn't need you to raise any point in COM to deal heavy damage, this will be your main source of damage at low level.

This is the endgame trait build I advise you to aim for with this mixed race/build:

And this is the sex level I advise you to stop at (any more than this will render many tricks difficult to execute. Ideally, your sex level should be at 69 for Oral, Vaginal/Anal):

If you follow this build, there's no need to raise COM, as Physical damage is already high enough at base (using the high quality weapons), which is further increased by Abomination race. There's no need to raise SCU, as the Moot race is stealthy enough on its own. There's no need to raise SUR, as the Abomination race allows Lona to survive travel just by consuming corpse (this allows her to travel with 0 Food stat as long as there's corpse to consume). All you need to raise are CON (10-22) and WIS (as high as possible, until you can reach overal 90-100 wis stat).

That said, even at level 15, if Lona is a mixed race, then you'll already have a very good time playing almost any build. I can make multiple video demonstrations of every single trick this Lona can do even at this low level if you want more details.

I'd actually recommend no trait if its before reincarnating if you don't want to bother with witch juice.
Though early magic is very rough, ''tough'' style Lona (no trait, but still weapons) till you're high level, then juice out and reincarnate into a sea witch mage lona is significantly easier.
Or just cheat your stats, up to you
