Wow, this is an amazing tip, thank you. I gave it a try with my succubus build, timed my first entrance at the start of the day and entered 3 times ignoring mostly everything except the babies.
The return trip only took 2 days because I had to wait out the night for Elise shop. I brought back 10+7 (goblin+orc) babies and got 4 Gold, 5 Large Copper, 5 Copper in less than 20 minutes. This is basically quadruple the profit for smoked meat by weight, but it does require Lona to be producing milk and have enough carrying capacity as each baby is heavy (10 goblin, 20 orc).
My first entrance some of the the babies you can pop kept going hostile depsite being in stealth. So I could have had 20 while being under 400 weight. If I timed it so I returned to town during the day I could have grabbed more without milk concerns too. I like not having to worry about the horse (both protection and rental expiration), but I am not sure how well this would work on builds without any CON. A melee or magic build with the default carrying weight might only be able to bring back 3-5 babies at a time, but that would still be very fast profit for the time invested.
