Using a kbar'd get my flightsuit all dirty. Sounds terrible.
Yeah, yeah, I hear you, Mr. Deathfromabove. For us grunts, bloodstains on the trousers are a given and that's why we strip down to the muscle T; to keep the jacket nice and clean. Well... and for the photo ops.

Too easy. But, when necessary, the great gift from above. Fun to watch too. Fun things to do... M4, M249, M79, Kbar.
Watching US privates used to the recoil of an M4 using a G3A3 during a joint excercise was quite a show..

Never fired one, is it nice? M4 doesn't have much recoil which makes it easy to hold on target. I would expect any 7.62 weapon to have more recoil. How does it compare to an AK?

well I'm from europe so I wouldn't know, only guns I ever fired were a skeet gun, paintball, airsoft guns, and a .22 rifle :ROFLMAO: My dad was in the border guard during the socialist era though (70s I think). Still, I don't think he had any experience at the time with nato weapons, but 7.62 sure.

I think it compares rather to a M14, as they are both cambered in 7,62x51. But never fired a M14 sadly. Wielded an AK with blanks once for opfor representation, so again no clue. But I fired an M4/M16ish Modell (it have been 23 years since, so honestly no clue about the exact Modell) and it compares to the G36, which fells like someone nudging your shoulder, while the G3 fells like being hit with a hammer…. Still my weapon of choice…

I‘am from Europe too, but I came of age to a time when there had still been conscription. BTW, Soviet 7,62x39 behaves totally different from NATO 7,62x51 ;)
Was your dad from the GDR?

So... yeah, Ryker is an Afghanistan vet and IIRC he is released from Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas as the tale begins...
nice dodge :KEK:
Btw I haven't connected those dots, but fuck, that is quite the distance Ryker and Jess traveled, 1500 miles or so.
