It's been almost a year since I made the last topic, figured I'd ask this again.

First of all, it's ok to have very unusual kinks, as you're not hurting anyone, and it makes you happy, so by all means keep having fun with em, just know that they're not my thing, and I'd rather you all not recommend them to me
However, I might make an exception if unless they're a small part, and are completely avoidable. (IE: City of Broken Dreamers)

I wanna thank everyone again for their recommendations in other topics. Thanks to you I've got more promising ADULT games than I'll ever be able to play in my lifetime.

Once again, Here's the kinds of things that I look for in an adult game.

A quality script with a very likable protagonist, and at least one or two very likable characters who I can focus on.
Good looking everyone, regardless of their sex(Unless it's a character we're not supposed to like.)
At least DECENT pacing.
Happy sex.

Things I absolutely DO NOT want:
non/con. Seriously, if a big part of the game is the MC ASSAULTING or being ASSAULTED is part of the experience, please don't make excuses for it.
If it's a small part, and completely avoidable however, I'm a little more lenient, just tell me how to avoid it.

I'd especially appreciate it if you'd make a logical guess and tell me how long a playthrough of the games you're recommending will take to finish.

My favorite games that I've played here:
Summer Scent(Dear god can I relate to the MC!)
Rebirth: Chapter 1
Melody(God it's amazing, but it's so damn slow at times.)
Tales from the Unending Void
Treasures of Nadia

New to the list of faves:
Something to Write About: The Author
Fates: Determination(Can't stress how much I love this! Only one chapter out, and it feels like a completed game.)
Were Never Seen Again

Completed games on my radar:
Life With Mary
City of Broken Dreamers
Acting Lessons
Triangle
Pine Falls
Being a Dik Season 1
Retrieving the Past
Love of Magic
The Warrior's Heart
Lancaster Boarding House
Twists of My Life

Love of Magic
SWe1: The Warrior's Heart

City of Broken Dreamers is not completed yet, we'll have to wait about a year or so to get it done. Deliverance was completed a couple of weeks ago, it's a thriller with some graphic violence (non sexual) and supernatural elements, you play as a police detective so it's an adult MC, with a functional marriage, and you can make him good or evil. I'd say it takes way more than 6 hours to get to the ending, and there are 8 different endings to explore (choices really matter)

For Love of Magic, only Book 1 (out of 3) is done. It's up on Steam, while I work on Book 2 (I'm on the penultimate act now, so... soonish), then I move onto Book 3. The books are designed to be thematically complete, but contiguous (similar to books and movies).

CoBD's great, and most of the other games on your wishlist are all really worth catching as well. I loved The Warriors Heart and while I haven't played it yet (I'm working my way through Unbreakable atm), I've heard really good things about Something to Write About.

That's right, I keep forgetting that I only thought that Broken Dreamers was completed because it was listed as version 1.0. Cool to heard that Deliverance got finished. Totally down for non-sexual assault.

Any reason why you mentioned that it's more than 6 hours specifically? Same question with choices really mattering, doesn't that describe almost every visual novel?

Well, quoting yourself:

So that was my estimation of an average playthrough (and I feel I'm understimating that). About choices, let's say in some VNs 'choices' only change some flavour text, or have a minor impact on the overall story. Not the case here.

Thanks, but I'm still confused, you said that it'll take way more than 6 hours. Not sure how that helps.

Without going into spoilers, can you give me an example on how your choices matter?

About playtime, I can't give you a better estimation as I didn't check how much time I actually spent. Plus I tend to read text very carefully, as I make manual translations of games and I'm basically proofreading them, so my pace may be slower than most people's. But what I tried to mean is that this is a long game and it's likely you would need to play it during a couple of days, at least. Not just one lazy afternoon and done (in "The Warrior's Heart", for instance, it takes about 3-4 hours to complete all the paths, even without skipping already seen text).

About choices, in addition to focusing on one of the 3 main love interests, you can shape your character to be good or evil, and all those minor choices add up to determine which path will you follow and how do you approach the final mission; then, in that mission, you'll have more or less options available depending on your past choices but also on the choices you make during this particular last stretch (so you can fail miserably). There are 8 different endings and even in each one of those endings there are still some variations that take into account your past actions, so you might not get the 'perfect' ending you were aiming for, even if you get your desired path's ending. For instance, do you try to help a random girl in chapter 3, or do you choose to take advantage of her situation? Maybe that girl will show up again later on and act accordingly to what you did, or maybe you just scared her away and you'll get a totally different scene with different people and different options instead - or maybe you don't even meet her at all because you choose to go somewhere else in chapter 3.

Yeah, don't think I'll be getting half the endings because I don't want to be a scumbag.

You might have a try with The anomalous Dr. Vibes. While this game gets quite kinky down the line after a slow start, it stays almost fully consensual regarding sexual activities. This is done, because the chars in the game follow quite a porn logic while the dev puts some hilarious writing with lots of pop-allusions and very creative ideas around it. You will have much to laugh down the line. There are two scenes of forced exhibitionism (one to the MC and one to the woman, who forces him). but this is well explained in game because the MC and the woman tease each other before and nudity is in this world despite being seemingly embarassing still quite accepted. Additionally there is one very short hint of game-in-game-rape, when the MC defeats enemies while leveling up in an MMO in his world. But this is really very short.
If you're ok with a lesbian exhibitionism story, you might have also a try with Sunville.

There a difference between basically and literally in this context?

Also, can you tell me a little bit about it please?

It's complete in that there is an end to the game. The dev has however said that he will add some more sex scenes with some of the background characters etc.
It is a point and click adventure style game (similar to the Sierra quest games). Explore the world, meet characters, do small quests, unlock sex scenes, pick up collectibles.
