What's up guys? Just wanted to get your feedback on a few ideas I have for a new game. I have a ton of characters just laying around so I figured it's time to put them to use. I got a few ideas and concepts but can't really figure out which way I want to go.

( Some rough character concept pics will be posted at the bottom )

The first concept is a game called "Kingdom". It's a game about a young prince ( Bragi ) getting ready to take over for his dad the dying king ( Ashbjorn ) and trying to keep his jealous brother ( Solvi ) in line. This will be more of a NTR based game set in the middle ages.

The second concept is a little less fleshed out as far as the story goes but I want it to be more in the style of the LOP games. No title or anything as of yet but it'd basically be about a college guy trying to balance having a girlfriend and dealing with all the temptations that come along with being in college.

I'm open to any of your suggestions on what you'd like to see and I appreciate any feedback.

First idea sounds more interesting. But what i don't understand is what you mean by it being "more NTR based". Like, who is the one being *cucked* (if thats the right way to say it).

The first one's setting is a bit weird?
If your little brother is cucking you in the middle ages wouldn't you just turn him into a Eunuch?

That girl has a nice ass though

I know this doesn't help you, but I'm a firm believer in using the engine that you need to make the game you're designing. Put simply, if you aren't going to make an old school jrpg, why would you use RPGm? Ren'Py is a lot more versatile, it can make Life Sims and Visual Novels, and if you really know what you're doing you can even add certain RPG elements to it. This isn't to say that I want you to use Ren'Py. If you wanted to make something more interactive I'd suggest Unreal, if you wanted to make something more hybrid I might suggest Unity or Game Maker. The point is, you have to decide how you want the gameplay to work with the story you want to tell.

I am a fan of Ren'Py, but my absolute favourite game is an RPGm. Once you know what kind of game you want to make, it becomes less a question of what your audience wants you to use, and more a question of what works best to tell your story. I have a plan for a future project set in a D&D like setting. I plan to implement dice roll based combat and conversation skill rolls. I plan to have investigation skills go on in certain circumstances and trap disarming and the like in other areas. I personally think that this game would be easiest to build in Ren'Py, because I know how I'd add most of these functions within the python based code. However before I do it, I'll also consult a more skilled code developer to see what he thinks.

Take the second concept NTR is bullshit and only a small group of people play it. By the way nice bubble butt!

Well I don't want to give away too much of the story but it'd basically be Bragi who is in line for the throne. Solvi his brother is more of the menacing, joker type character.

I think both the platforms are great and it seems people are liking more of the Renpy style games these days but I think RPGMaker allows for more immersion. For example, the Kingdom game I was more envisioning it in RPGMaker. Not sure how well it'd work in Renpy but I'm sure it could be done.

Well, for instance, if you wanna go with something like Coceter Chronicles, where your MC is wandering around and there's a valid reason to go from place to place and to discover all of the map, then RPGm could be great for it. However if you just want to use the Map the way ICCreations games or games like My Girlfriends Amnesia, which make them just pad the time with walking around, then you're better off in Ren'Py. As I said before though, use the engine that fits your needs the best. If you feel you need to be able to move around a map and that you can take the time to fill that map with interesting and worthwhile things to see and do, then use RPGm if that's what you feel would be best. Don't use Ren'Py if it wouldn't work just because it's more popular with the masses. I used to be a Never RPGmer, then I played Coceter Chronicles. I learned that the problem wasn't the engine but the developer and since I've given far more games a chance.

An rpgmaker game with Queen's Blade characters or Kill La Kill (various Senketsu costumes), in which Ryuko can increase her base stats with "white liquid", and blood to power her up her costumes.

The first one sounds more interesting, though I'd say there are things much more interesting for such a plot than being NTR based.

On the engine rpgmaker would be good if you want to use more RPG elements and combat, it's when the engine really shines, anything from turn based, active turns to full real time battles are possible if you have the skills to code it.

Nope look at patreon and this forum you can see this small group make not a lot of money.
Yet NTR-like content is one of the most popular ones in porn games. You are more likely to find a game with NTR than something as common as Futa.

Well it'd definitely have more elements/fetishes, I just mean that NTR would kinda be the backbone of the game.

You are confusing something. Check out this forum most popular games. What do you see? Right, there is no ntr and no futa game in there. That means both are marginal groups. You must not confuse your taste with the reality. Because the way it looks in the forum is exactly the same with patreon. The forum is the mirror of it. To say what are no marginal groups. Harem, F/F M/F Male MC etc these are not marginal groups!
I mean it if you really want to cover a mass. Stay true to the sexual orientation normal vanilla and you have the jackpot. And at last you put an incest patch on you game and you have the big bling bling in your pocket.

This site is not a good sample of the overall public and the popular tab is not about the most profitable game, if you look at the numbers, you'll see the top 10 adult patreons are as varied as they come, including the ultra-fetish TiTs being the second biggest with $35k per month.

And as far as incest goes, the market is already over-saturated with it, to make a hit in this category one would have to make a true masterpiece. Not implying you should, as the OP says nothing about it.

1. Looking purely at the "most popular games" is wrong. He is a new dev, why should he compete with the goliaths and big boys right away?
2. Look at the genre popularity itself, not the income.
3. Don't take F95 as your only source, only like half of the games from the industry are here. Take a look at TFGamesite too or something.

I think the reason it's not more popular is one, there aren't a ton of NTR games that are in English and two, most of them that are just aren't very well made. I think Lily of the Valley is an example of a good English NTR game and it's pretty popular on here as well.

Most threads here eventually turn into people arguing about NTR content.

The renders look really good with original characters. I would always rather see an original character than see Victoria 7, that one milfy Lilith model, or Darius 7. Or that one penis model that looks like a tan torpedo.

I say go with the 2nd idea if you're interested in making money. NTR in a medieval setting would have a very niche audience, but a lot of unexplored ground there.
