I mean, I'd hardly call holding the update for 2 weeks rudeness. Gotta have something for the Patreons, and the game still comes out for free at the end of the day.
And you're right here, of course, and I also do not mean to pick on other developers who set 5 thresholds on the principle that for $40 you have access to 5 updates ahead, etc. totally not my business everyone do what he thinks is right, after all, such practices bring results for sure, maybe I wrote it too strongly calling such practices rude.
I just want to emphasize that I'm not holding back the update by doing nothing, but only giving access to a less completed update for those more curious about it, as you wrote yourself, of course it's good to reward your supporters, but I also do not want to feel that I'm forcing support on someone, although probably any reward can be called an extortion for people who want it all for free or are not able to support the creation.

Maybe writing this I was thinking too much about the developers who I supported or support, waiting 4 months for an update to get a patch written in one line to fix a bug, or disappearing without a word for a few months to come back with a new support threshold and increasingly limiting access to the game instead when there is no updates for long time, but as I wrote it's not my business, I have something to do I shouldn't just write in such general terms and justify my words

I've been working since the beginning of the game on more interesting rewards in the future for supporters without limiting gameplay in any way, and I'm just learning and trying my hand at it myself.
At the end of the day, it's obvious to me that the game must be worth supporting.

What can I say, today is the 4th month so also the 5th update of the game, along with it the opening of the discord of the game to which I invite you very much, whether you are interested in the game or just monster girls you will definitely find something for you ^^

I'm curious what scenes you guys would see for a new character, what you think the next one should be and what should be improved or added to the game, can't wait so I'm getting right to work on the next update

Does this game have controller support?
Hey at this point unfortunately there is not, I doubt it would be any problem bigger to do at this stage of the game, I have wondered more than once about the support for controllers.
It makes me wonder what next knowing what mechanics I will want to introduce into the game and how much work it would require, maybe I should slowly think about making the next systems have a better basis for such a move.
I'll probably try it because I'd also like to work with vr elements, and although it's a different example, I mean that I'll also try it with a pad controller for sure, because the system I have built for dialogues, etc. is certainly not adapted to it now, I'll be honest, it's unlikely to appear in the next updates, but I'm not saying that it will not be there and that in the future it may appear.
I think it could be a cool option to play from the couch on a bigger TV, etc. we'll see.

I have given it some additional thought, when I get a better grasp of the new characters, I will try to make a prototype and see what comes out of it, I will be able to outline more and know myself how well I could do it, because to make it just to work is not that way, but to make it pleasant to use.
In the same way as I was thinking about a mode where it would be possible to play with one hand on the keyboard or the mouse, although during the scenes there is rather no need for this yet, when they will be more strongly folded maybe it will come in handy.

These kinds of 3d unity games very rarely succeed. Its just too difficult and time consuming for amateur solo devs.
It's hard to disagree, over the years the mentality and knowledge of people about the creation of games has changed a lot and people see more how much work is put into these games which adds up to concerns about whether the project will last longer than an update or 2, or how little is put because it depends on the game of course.
Success consists of a lot of factors which I'm sure I'm missing, but success for me is already "coming out of the basement" with anything, when doing a lot of stuff I never uploaded anything to the net before
I think that the biggest factor is still work, a lot of projects simply stop being made, probably no one hopes that games made by individual developers will be equal to AAA productions, but no one wants to wait a few months for an update that contains 2 lines of text

At the end of the day, the market itself verifies if the game is poor, it will die at its own pace or never get higher even if it will be made for years, if it is good it should defend itself, only I know that some people are hurt by the number of games that are created and then fail, developers hoping to achieve success on the principle I'll release the game wait until I raise money then maybe I'll start doing something and in general people like me who assume patreon despite the fact that the game is what it is because let's be honest it certainly annoys people, it's the people and with them the market creates natural selection so my spam doesn't matter xd

The only thing I want to say is that I am well aware of what it looks like and that as soon as I slow down for a while I will become another shitty game and in the eyes of many an attempt to achieve success without a job

I look at patreon creators like street musicians. They play a good song, you pay them. If you think paying them more or regularly will bring about more good songs, then you do. But what you don't do is complain when they are not playing on a day you wish they were, or complaining about their current song choice or that they cut your favorite tune short or that you don't like their newest song. Just sayin.

If the main goal is to succeed, pay someone else to do it for you. I think it's more of a hobby/passion/side hustle for these guys and I'm glad someone out there is doing it. They are developing skills and learning all sorts of things along the way about game programming and development, workflow, dealing with consumers and their expectations, online commerce, etc.

What kind of gameplay mechanics are planned? The frostlorn race is very interesting and unique, and i really like the fox character. It looks so goofy lol.

I actually fully support early patreon releases. it's far less annoying then content locks which are way to common, with the worse model being temporary access while subscribed.

if it's just and early release imo, stick with it. mind you this is me saying this pre-download.

if I may ask, will there be a harem option planned for this? I may chip in every couple of months, but harem sandboxes are my main jam.

is there any sex scene with elf? Is there anything else after I talked to the cyclops about the symbols?
At the moment there are no erotic scenes for Eli, they will appear to the next character probably one for the next update and then another, I have a lot of ideas but I will also see the reactions of people because I myself am not perfect and probably there will be more interesting ideas than mine we will see.
Scenes for Eli may appear slower because I would like to spend more time on them because as you probably saw my animations are not good, although with every update the game improves it still lacks.
What animations would you see for her, something matching her character, maybe her appearance, or pure preference I'd love to hear, although I assure you that it's not that I don't have an idea and I'm waiting for someone to come up with it, but the more ideas the better to be inspired.

And it's seemingly obvious

But it's all about the promises
Developer tells you that he is working on the game, spamming you to support him, most often they also say that if we do this, then suddenly the game will have the fuck knows what, then the more money he earns the less he makes the game, and saying all this I emphasize for some that I'm not talking about all but individual cases.

Devs I'm talking about in your example look like this, you have a musician who tells you to pay him, comes and plays a song and assures you that if you pay more he will come and play, and then you never see him again, it's similar to kickstarter on patreon similar behavior, the creator raises money something there, supposedly makes a game, and suddenly silence, for a living example I was one of the supporting people we collected funds for game, for many things because there were goals including the release of the game on steam, hiring a voice actor and many others, we managed to raise the money, but it's been a few months since then, and it's not about the lack of updates, no post, no news from the developer, once in 50 questions you get ( if you lucky) im still working on game, people dont know if dev is still alive but they support still, this can be a reason to be disappointed
But hey im also just sayin, and who cares about my opinion xd

It is known that who would not want to make money from passion, but most people doing such things just for money quickly get fed up, I am delighted, I hate my lack of skills and I am the biggest critic of my game xd but it gives me a lot of pleasure improving in this and putting this game together, it slowly begins to resemble a game.
The hardest thing for me is always to start because once I start it's hard to tear me away even for a while, the only pity is that I can't speed up the time of learning and doing these things to make the game faster as I would like it to be, but well my models also used to look mega tragic but they are improving.

Oh yes Saya looks goofy that's a fact xd and not very pretty, I never modeled fury too much or animals so that's how it came out, though I wanted more to remake her in the past as a kitsune, more like a ghost fox, so I hope you like her new look when it's ready but we'll see, if something isn't good I have no problem removing it from the game no matter how long it took me to work on it.
I'm very glad you like Frostlorn, I was totally serious about making it and although I expected more jokes and laughing at me for the idea of adding a snowman to a hentai game and surprisingly this is not the first time this our Yuni has been praised.
I'm all the more happy knowing what other genres I have in mind that aren't in any game and can't wait for your reaction.

When it comes to game mechanics it's good if I don't spam a lot of it here especially since I have to do a lot of research myself and I don't want to sound like someone who says “this will be an rpg character development with 3d elements of collecting monster girls like pokemons fighting between them and online gameplay” who promises a lot and has no idea what he's talking about xd there will be rather smaller more real forms.
Some characters will focus more on the story others will introduce us to the world more, Saya for example since she is a spiritual guardian it would be useful for her to have mini games that allow the player to develop more in terms of energy and spirit.

If someone in the future wanted to get married and start a family with Yuni (don't ask me how a snowman creates a child because it will be explained in the game, everything is already written xd) then an ordinary person would faint next to her every now and then and could easily die from exhaustion, just to be able to live with her on a normal level, it would be good if the player improved in this area, so we're probably talking about training with Saya here, mini-games e.g. clicking on barely visible souls that disappear on a dark screen for a time as one of 3 e.g.

Plot-explained as learning how to connect with the spiritual world, which Saya does every day and increasing our awareness in this area, maybe fishing if the girl cat comes, we finally have a lake, Eli herself could teach us archery. But as I said, these may be boring little examples but they can definitely be done, more ambitious things will happen when I start working on them more than just talking because every developer can talk, what counts is what I do in the game

Well yes, content blocking also often leads to the fact that you don't always know 100% what you are paying for, such support is also easier to control for supporters, the creator does something you don't like, you don't support, you like the game, you support

If I get questions like yours, it would probably be better for marketing purposes to answer, ,,everything will be there, everything you write will be in the game 100%, support this game"
I would definitely like to, and I have such elements in my plans, but don't be influenced by this and don't treat it as a promise, if you really care about the harem and mainly about it, it's better to start supporting the game when it appears. I haven't played many harems myself because I like to focus more on the relationship with a specific character when I play, so my knowledge on this subject is probably limited and any information about things like what you like, what you would like to see, and broadening my view of specific ideas or fetishes will help me make a better game, because in this game there will be a lot of things that I don't know about yet or that I don't like, but that's also how I associate the world of monster girls, not all of them will do what we tell them to do because they have their own culture, customs and character, despite this, most of their stronger scenes will of course be optional

Despite everything, as always I will be honest, we see how many characters there are in the game and for it to be a good harem there is a lot missing, I myself would like there to be more in the game and for it to be better and more interesting so I do what I can, with gaining better skills some things should speed up but there are still a few elements missing that I want to add so that the game takes a bigger shape and it is known in which direction it is going

Okay I finally found time to check out this game, what can I say, it doesn't look bad I can see that you see where to improve and you're still working. I know it's new so I won't attack it, I love monster girls so if the updates continue to come out regularly I'll keep an eye on it.

By the way Saya when we talk to her first time she says that the player's house is on the right side of the village but it would probably be better to write that it's on the left looking at the entrance to the village.
