First off, this game is very bland. The MC looks like someone searched “generic fantasy guy” and copied the first result that popped up. The love interests mostly look the same, which in a game that has orc girls and wolf girls, is almost an accomplishment. So, yeah, very bland, but this is a text based game more than it is a visual novel or something similar, and good writing can lift up an otherwise visually dull text based game. So how's the story? Are the characters good? Short answer? Maybe, if the writing wasn't so bad my eyes glazed over every passage. Long answer?
The writing in this game sucks. The grammar is bad, the spelling is bad, and for a mostly text based game, the descriptions and dialogue are boring. Lots of "There was this, and then there was also this, and this was there too" instead of any attempt to paint a picture. Bad English can be forgiven in a VN with good models or animations, but in a text based game you need good English and good writing skills. This game just doesn't have that.
The characters themselves are mostly the same fantasy tropes you always see. Which, again, isn't necessarily a problem on its own because tropes are tropes for a reason and the presence of one isn't an automatic negative, but the dialogue is so stilted and unnatural it feels like you're reading a 13 year old's first attempt at writing, and not a video game made by an adult who supposedly knows how to write. I can't stress enough how much a text based game with limited visuals needs good writing to carry it.
But what about the visuals? I said the character designs are bland, but is the art good?
The art is...decent. The static poses of the character busts are boring. They all just stand facing the "camera" head on. No poses. No sexiness. The text descriptions also don't always match the pictures. In the first 5 minutes of the game alone there's a character described as having a voluptuous figure and large breasts but her picture bust shows her with narrowish hips and what look like b cups, c at the most. The sex images are a bit better, but again you can't get much out of it because the writing is so bad.
Conclusion: I really don't understand the praise this game is getting. Whatever these people are seeing, I'm not. I think the sex/romance options could use more variety, in design if not in kinks/fetishes, but the dev has a poll up about adding futas to the game, which might spice things up in the future. I don't think that would affect my rating though, because there's still the huge problem of the bad writing. I would recommending giving this game a pass until the dev gets an editor or some guest writers to start adding well written content.
