i fucked up missing the event meeting with cassidy, can i fix this ?
Can't unless you can revert to an older save.

How do you miss this event? The game tells you when it happens and even gives you an appointment icon to click on.

DLCs are a big reason for why people pirate games in the first place.
No, your pet issue with DLCs existing isn't "a big reason" why people pirate games. Not by a long shot. Piracy is, as your meme with GabeN noted, a service issue. And sometimes a money issue.

In the past DLCs like these were called "expansions" and people bought them just fine. Additional content costs money to make. As long as it's real content and not, you know, horse armor, it's all good.

This particular DLC isn't in any way required for anything. What are you even upset about?

Software piracy existed big time before the term "DLC" or even "download" made any sense whatsoever. Or expansions. Or what have you.

And once expansions came along, people queued up for them in the shops. A CD with all kinds of extra content for Civilization II - sign me up, certainly worth the half price of a game.

However, I will argue that DLC is - in general - a good thing. While a full blown game is more expensive than in my youth, the rise does not compare to inflation. And when buying stuff, you can buy the base stuff and see if "more of that" is worth more money to you. Granted, not every game is made for it in the same way, and not every DLC is as useful as others (did somebody mention "horse armor"? Oh yeah, somebody did. Only very shortly ago. By the way, I am a proud owner of it, though admittedly only in a bundle with Knights of the Nine, would never have bought it on its own). And not every game is handling it well (looking at you, Dragon Age: Origins - the DLC was worth its money, but the way the game behaved without installing it by advertising it was annoying).

But in the end, porn games also have to be made by somebody. And they do not necessarily do it just for the enjoyment of others. So stuff like that is going to happen, and why not? I personally hate it for a different reason, namely Steam having stopped allowing buying adult games over here (let's not get into the reasons, in the end I understand both sides here, however, personally I hate it), so I cannot play it without pirating. And yes, that would be the "service issue" mentioned by Steam Guy. However, that ain't an absolution to just go ahead and pirate because it's the other side's fault.

They managed to make the author of this game so angry, to the point of making a post on Twitter complaining about this forum lol.
I deleted my recent comments as another sign of good faith but these constant dev tantrums are getting a little silly.

Guess we gotta find more good things to say. Err, hmm let's see... Minami's a pretty fun character. Anyone think she may be a yandere in the making? Gettin' definite yuki yuki vibes and she seems to be like the only character that gets along with Kylie.

Edit: Heck, as childhood friends maybe constantly hearing Minami's obsessing is the root of Kylie's infatuation.

I don't really dislike her, however this whole game has one main problem for me: the early characters (especially Sasha and Bree) hold a place dear in my heart and the later ones rarely come close. Maybe the early ones are "written better", maybe it is because they are early, maybe it is just my taste. Don't get me wrong, I am still gonna Pokémon them as much as I can, however I could live with only Bree and Sasha and be happy.

Oh ... I already live with them ... well, that's great news! ;)

Almost everything related to the office is a good addition for me.
Even characters I disliked initially , like Shiori. My favorites aside, I can count on one hand girls I consider a miss, honestly. This good ratio is the reason I keep coming back in the end

1. Expansions are not DLCs. There is a vast world of difference between the two.
2. The existence of DLCs, microtransactions, lootboxes, and other predatory abusive BS are all examples of a service issue.

The typical DLC is where you intentionally make the game too grindy and then have someone buy better gear one piece at a time for an obnoxious amount of money via DLCs. (because the DLC items are never actually balanced with the rest of the game).
Or they cut out content and make you pay extra for it in a big FU to the buyer.

being fair, people here go to comments in topics with fetishes they don't like, all the time, like in any ntr games there is a anti-ntr group and the most annonying to me is the "omg those breast are so huge is disgusting", rlly some people just wanna hate for hate.
this isn't twitter. this is a piracy forum :cautious:

As for your first part I would disagree. At least in common usage expansions are considered DLC. Not the only variant of DLC there is, but one of them. And probably the one quite a few think about first when hearing the term. On top of that, to qualify as a DLC, it doesn't need to cost money.

And I personally wouldn't even know a game where you could "DLC" some stuff against the grind or to get overpowered. I know that effect from lootboxes, microtransactions, and sometimes preorder bonuses or "you also have our other game" bonuses or suchlike, but not as DLC. May be the games I am playing, though.

However, this definition you've given in my eyes does not at all apply to activating additional girl routes as here in LSSB. That would be maybe an expansion, maybe something else entirely in my book.

I don't blame the dev for resorting to DLC's. The game by its very nature is infinitely expandable, so at some point you have to monetize the expansions just to justify continued development.

That said, I really wish he'd finish the original game outside of the DLC(s) -- there's still some annoying dead ends and bugs. The game is good -- it's why we're all here commenting on it -- and I look forward to the base game getting completed and completed DLC's that follow.
