Well, when updating the games I already have, I generally copy and replace the files from the new version into the old folder. Makes it easier to keep the saves and didn't screw up any game before so I thought it'd work fine.

What you want to do is buy all the clothes. I don't know if the accessories matter, but if you buy all the clothes, you're guaranteed to unlock things like the gym, nightclub, and water park.
*Edit: I'm stupid and contradicted myself. What I should've said is I don't remember if you need to buy the accessories too, but if you buy all the clothes AND ACCESSORIES, you're guaranteed to unlock the above (and maybe more?).

Buying the fancy clothes unlocks the nightclub. Buying the sporty clothes unlocks the gym, and buying the swimsuit unlocks the water park.

I just tossed the game. If just sleeping is that complicated, I doubt I'll enjoy the other systems.

I don't sleep at all. I just use the cheat to reset my needs back to normal whenever they get low.

I dunno what I've done wrong, but I'm trying to stop either sasha or bree from leaving when they find out I'm doing both of them.

Sasha is a slave to me, and I've got Bree's love and lust maxed but can't get her story to progress when I'm supposed to meet her in her bedroom during the day. I've literally sat there for a week straight "waiting" over and over again, she shows up a couple of times, kisses me and leaves. I've done what some people have suggested and have gone room to room trying to trigger the event, but nothing seems to work for me.
