There are several ways, such as gifting A sex slave's story, certain actions (spanking, pool/darts during pub date etc)
If you've reached the cap (there's a lock icon on the bar) you can't increase it further until you go though an event.
In Kleio's case, you have to have the sports car and go through the car repair event to get her KP cap to 100

This will depend on the traits you use, which girls you want to pursue (and possibly in what order), if you want to follow a strict schedule and read up on everything and will be willing to save scum if something does or doesn't trigger other than you'd like it to be, since there is RNG screwing up everything you planned. It will also depend on whether your playstyle is more of a "raise stats first then I have them ready" or "go for stats when I need to".
Most pertinent is certainly the "summer bottleneck", but some girls also require winter at times.
My first suggestion - straight from the gut - would be to start in mid winter to early spring, so you have time to build up for summer, and (unless you chose the "lucky" trait) have a birthday in mid/late summer, preferrably on a weekday, but I wouldn't be surprised if I was to be contradicted with good and compelling arguments. Maybe start a bit earlier if you don't know what you're doing and don't want to read up everything.
But while I am sure that somebody could come up with a "speedrun" of sorts, and the days needed for that, unless you meticulously plan everything in detail, something will always be off and you wished to have a different starting point and not wait so many days for the possibility to continue some story or another. Most will run fine though, whatever the schedule, worst that could happen is you'll have to wait for some specific scenes which are just extra and not needed to continue any path.

Seems like every time I pick this game up there are new traits and no explanation of what they do anywhere. Also last time I tried playing your job caps your pay, so it almost seems like workaholic is not as valuable of a starting skill as it used to be.

Figured as much, especially with the summer bottleneck, You could almost say that half of Spring should also have some beach access. You can have very sunny Spring. And perhaps a week of beach access during Fall like some sort of after summer.
Don't care about speed runs much. Just annoyed of pushing Stats all around. and here and there could be more clue's of how to do things.
Never managed to do Audrey and Sasha mix up, and still not sure how to trigger or initiate that.
The game has evolved quite a bit since the last time I spend in it.
