I fill you, but there's not much I can do besides suggest known solutions that fix most graphics issues. I don't get why Steam is showing an error since your game isn't a Steam version, though. Have you tried launching a Steam game to see if that works? And have you tried holding down the Shift key when starting LS2B? The window that opens should look like this:
