To play the desktop version, download that version and create shortcut of the main .exe. Then, right click on that shortcut and:

you are missing the space between the " and the -desktop Ver
however even with that, i am having issues. it loads half of the start screen with the language choices, but nothing works

Have you downloaded the desktop version? Check again... There's 2 versions.
I dunno. It works for me in desktop mode using -desktopVer .

ok i figured it out make sure its -desktopVer and not -desktop Ver.
I was doing it with the space and it wasnt working but when i removed the space as you saw it worked.

Tried it in desktop mode.
If you're like me, and you have tasted TK17 or any of the real-centric Illusion games, you won't be impressed with this. Aria's model looks so blocky and the deformation of the skin looks awkward in many poses.
If you have NEVER played a 3D fully manipulable porn game, you might be able to get off with it once or twice, but even with Illusion's business model of developing tech demos, their games are far superior in comparison to this. Hard pass.

I find miconisomi or whatever it's called to be even better than illusion, so you're putting a low bar there. Nevertheless, I See no reason to be picky given how uncommon 3D stuff is. Sometimes it doesn't even need to look great. I find Velesk's games despite their crude appearance still quite fantastic with the scenerio that they set up
