Screw them… there was a massive amount of potential customers that told Super Alex that despite the flaws they liked his game, but wished he would port it to ren’py as the stupidly absurd size of Lucky Mark was insane, 19GB for a dumbass sandbox porn game ?
You should check the thread, I compressed it months ago, it's under 6GB now

Lucky Mark [v18.0] [Super Alex]

NOTE: I've done some testing, everything seems to be fine during testing, that DOES NOT mean something isn't though! I've included everything except a save, most of them in this thread are bugged, I would not use them.

NOTE 2: GOFILE will only stay active for a week or two at max.

COMPRESSED:

I loved the "old" Lucky Mark.

That brings me to the question of why you should do a transfer at all if no new content is planed or added (?)

Yes, I understand Your motivation to a certain extent, but to be honest I find the "usability" argument a bit weak.
VN's are primarily content driven. Why not start an own Project instead of using of already made content?

So it just looks like a fan who wants to jump on an older, but successful, bandwagon without the motivation to invest years of stubbornly following a target of learning and forming needed skills to be able to create and make the own creativity manifest as an own VN in this regard.

Everyone has to start somewhere, I understand, and if that is your personal choosen way of beginning making own VN's, then ok I support that and I'm an advocate of experiments and DIY projects for the soley purpose to enhance the own skills.

If this is the case I'm wishing You honestly all the best and use what ever is available!
But, just don't try to make us fools and try the shortcut by using others content for the hope of making some bucks. (like in music)

Learning is welcomed, making fools of us not.
So, Nah!, such negative case would not be funny at all from my POV.

Will there be any new content? I went through the original and it wasn't completed.
I would be surprised if. I would not expect much because of the lack of the original sauces, so we will only see original renders we already know, but using renpy. Yeah!

This is not a remake, it's just an engine port and nothing else as far as I can see (maybe I'm wrong).
Looks like an exercise of someone who try|wants to do VN's "somehow" and hopes to make some bucks for nothing (?).

Do you really think I wouldn't be making my own game right now if I had the right equipment to do so? If you want to know why I started doing Ren'Py ports, read the "about me" section of my Patreon page. You'll find all the answers you're looking for.

I do not want to argue. I shared my thoughts, you and others responded and shared something as well, that was it.
End of the story and can be read by everyone.

Alex: I respect your own work very much, I luv it, but I criticize your intention to maximize your income based on the work of others.

PS: ByTheWay, Pirates are nasty beeings, thats right, but we still have a sense of honor.

This was a really fun game, but it was a shame it ended in vain. I wanted Bill to play a more role.
There should have been more scenes of Bill and Mark's sister for Mark to bring Bill down.
And I wish there had been some secret between Bill and the housekeeper, for example, Bill's daughter was actually a daughter from Bill and the housekeeper.
But in conclusion, the game ended in a normal Mark victory.
So it was memorable for me as a disappointing game.

Annie will be in the game, but I'll make her MC's "childhood friend" to avoid any type of problems with Patreon.
I didn't understand a little bit what the point of the game is to watch video replays from the original and that's it? and there is no remake of any game?

Just curious, I didn't play the original for a quite long time (due it's updates being slow as fuck), but are there any specific reasons to actually change the engine?

And yes I read the dev notes, and of what I understood the goal is to mainly decrease the grind and optimize the sandbox, but couldn't that be applied on previous engine? What kind of limitations does Unity have with it?

Probably it's due my ignorance about the engines themselves, but I don't see how the effort is worth to change engines just for that. The only thing I'm happy with it is that Ren'Py is easier to mod for me and I can change the characters relationships and dialogues a bit.
