100% (?)/Gallery save attached. Mostly a good game and story for an h-game. Some of the controls especially during a particular boss fight are awful but overall worth playing. The gallery is sorely lacking and a pain to try and use. I hope vosmug fixes it eventually.

Male Protagonist :(

...weh
Its only ever so rare that anyone does good Male protagonist Hgame, this is one of them, given its from the OG Vosmug

I loved both of Vosmug's action games, I have to admit I'm a bit disappointed to see this is a point-and-click game. But I suppose I'll give it a try.
Most of the resentment coming for this game is mostly from the fact that you actually have to play most of it and its not a jump into shooter/action game, We haven't had any decent non-RPGM or non-Unity games, I think this runs on Game Maker Studio. The point & click isn't really point & click but more of a action interaction/manipulation game, its very cleverly thought out without making it too much of a puzzle punisher.

Probably their weakest game yet, no battle fuck, very little H scene and no pay off. Good Looking Characters tho.
What can i say....,
while it's playable until the end, it never got me horny ...,(what instead did GH Vena)
a missed opportunity, considering that is clear that it costed a lots of time and efforts..
It tries to mix Vn,act, story and sex whithout really shine in any of them.

Still grateful for a complete game..."pretty rare these days".
Compared to Xenotake and Ghost Hunter Vena this game is crap.
5...5 years. Issue with timing is that he was trying to redesign himself during that time. That's why the in-between project kinda failed.

Also, it is kinda weird how the first "finished" game of his took the least time to develop and is among the best classics to this day :D
Strongly disagreed. This game has that classic polish than you'd rarely find with all those western patreon modeled devs these days. I think vosmug has stayed clear of that kind of financial model for their game, and they set something of a standard of polish with this game, game being a "Game" first as most have stated. Its just not a traditional side-scrolling action shooter that ya'll too comfortable with and has its own unique playstyle, which is a bit of a learning curve and hindrance to progression (Most of us here just like the jump to the corn kek), yet they designed the game specifically to prevent you from wasting too much time locking you to certain areas so you're not stuck lost forever (aside from day 3 maybe which basically taught you that interactions are important)

Oh yeah, Tentacles have been out of fashion lately lul, so there's that.

I'm trying to figure out what exactly do you strongly disagree with in my quoted post.
Nothing I said there was untrue.
Also, it is kinda weird how the first "finished" game of his took the least time to develop...
I've literally posted Vosmug's own timeline graphics that shows how little time he needed to make Xenotake in comparison to other projects.

This is also an objective truth based on many reviews, my own experience, general scores and criticism of people over the past DECADE. It is a game that is still a good example on how to make enjoyable h-games from both gameplay and ero perspective.

What you quoted is NOT a statement of "Xenotake was much better, this is just pure shit" or whatever you want to read from it.

Not gonna argue with you about tastes here because this much should be obvious and was told a few times already - game is different from earlier entries, Vosmug tried to reinvent himself and found a rather lackluster enthusiasm from wider public.

Doesn't make the game bad by any means but "not bad" is often just "not good enough".
It's like with lottery - you can win 1 mln USD or 1 mln JPY. Both cases mean you've won, are a millionaire and can be happy...but the meaning of happiness is slightly different for each case.

Some of that quoted you misinterpreted as mine, I have multi-quoted different people that didn't like it, what I "strongly disagreed" with is this game being "Xenotake was much better, this is just pure shit ", in many words, I disagreed because this game was pretty good, been around following its development since i played the demo, its understandable that you took the time equivalence pointing out that you felt xenotake was "better", that's why i quoted you, this game was reasonably good and had a different own-made unique system and playstyle while ghost hunter vena and xenotake more or less were the same game, along with a certain level of polish too.

TLDR Strongly disagreed that its junk, en contraire pretty good for its long timeline.

If you had to compare, that LoK rebirth is a similar game long abandoned off its decade of developement

The easiest way for me to describe why, despite it being an otherwise good game, is the weakest of the three games vos has released thus far.

In almost every good H-game the story is there to support the smut. For this game it is much more story centric. The smut is there to support the story and while the story is good it's both not a Hollywood script nor is it the reason why we're playing it. When making an H-game in my personal opinion you need to ask yourself "If the player holds the dialogue skip button would it still be a good game?" The answer here is only "it's ok".

Well to be honest, it fell short with a huge cliffhanger of an ending (the 100% one atleast) , i guess the game was to finish the work that's been going on for 6 years. as what I am in disagreement is it being "weaker" than the other two, by ranking it that way (one of the top 3 ever lmao) you rid it of its strengths and the conext of its own defining genre when compared to the other two "ACT" side scrollers. Objectively speaking ofcourse.

Not sure what to do after getting spores.
Can't go to bridge.
Can't go back to cell.
Can't go to lounge.
Can't take either elevator.
Can't talk to humanoid aliens.
Can't access spore controls via drone.

I thought I might be able to inject the spores in the lab, but there is nothing new there.
You need to open the map again at the very right before the last door

Yeah, I think that allot of people expected the porn to be available in level one when that's just not what Vosmug was going for this time around. They clearly wanted to set things up where the typical hentai villain protag who would go about corrupting these waifus starts off almost completely powerless and, even after, still isn't totally OP as you go forward and has to strategize a way to gain & maintain control of the situation, so the slowburn pacing and point & click gameplay works in this game's favor. As the levels/days pass, you'll start seeing h-scenes pop up more frequently, the dev just casually plonking them as set dressing in locations you'll run around through as you make your way forward in the game. It's focused on being a game first, but it's not like the porn is a total afterthought.

The only real problem is the typical Vosmug one. The gallery is ass and incomplete day one and we'll probably have to wait like months before it's at least actually finished, but that tends to be an issue with most of their games as people mentioned, not just this one.

I'm just happy it's finally finished and that it's pretty decent. It seems that nowadays, most games either shut down because it wasn't predatory enough of a free to play game like what happened with Magicami, is just a cobbled together AI Art Collectathon cashgrab, or it's doomed to be glorified abandonware people are still giving their money to for some reason like Cloud Meadow.

Can't figure out how to detonate the explosives after setting it in the armory, can't remember which vent(s) link to it and I've checked seemingly all the ones I have access to. Unhelpfully, the game doesn't let you send the drone up into the vent from the armory to remind yourself. Any pointers?
I thought it was the cell with the humanoid aliens, but I can't enter or interact with the panels or anything.

Nevermind, figured it out - had to plant more explosives on the elevator in the room adjacent to armory

Yeah, I got stuck with the explosive as well at first; thought that I have to go somewhere and reach the explosives via drone, because there was mention of the drone being able to trigger detonator. Turned out, I just have to put the second set in another location.

The boss battle feels like a foreign object in the game's body; up until then, it was a slow-pacing point-and-click quest with only two points where you can even see anything resembling gave over, both due to you making mistakes, not the lack of skill.

And then suddenly you're forced into a boss fight that combines three things which weren't used at any point before:
  • QTE: press defence button when prompted, or die.
  • Time limit: you can only survive very few hits, defence or not.
  • Pixel-hunting under pressure; made worse by strict limit on max distance of your reach, and the bug you're supposed to hit being much easier to notice, potentially confusing you on what you're supposed to do.

Am I crazy or has he just been reusing the same animations every game? I like his stuff but I swear everyone I play feels like there's nothing new to see.
I think he is aware of the same and feels uncomfortable about, judging from his posts on discord. I don't really have an issue with that all that much but yeah, just another objective "iffy" point for this release.

Damn it...I feel so bad about it...I like Vosmug as an h-dev and appreciate his work ethics (not milking people for years). For me, he is someone like Grimhelm or D-Lis - a light in the sea of trashy games...I just... don't feel this one...

i'realy enjoyed this game and got the captive ending so the endings are just a straight line and the 100% is basicly the tru ending but how do you get it ? do'have to keep a level of humanity ?

To be fair, at least it's not like a REAL retro point-and-click, (unless you care about having the full ending) where failing to pick up an item near the start of the game doesn't set you up for death near the endgame, meaning you have to go all the way back just to beat the game. Yeah it's bad to just shotgun a bunch of new skill-testing mechanics all at once with little room to figure out what it wants you to do, but the fight has a pretty forgiving QTE and if you're scanning more than just the right end of the arena, you can probably parse what the dev expects you to do so that it shouldn't take much more than two or three runs to beat. Helps that the checkpoint is pretty close to the boss fight too so the down time between attempts are pretty short.

It's jank, but not the worst thing I've seen when it comes to the design of a porn game. If you want an actually terrible boss fight, try to actually beat the final boss of Nyctophobia 2.

The story really dragged on so I kept skipping about halfway through the game but I'm curious what its actually about.

What was the cyborg MC's goal? Was he working with for Malla whatshername, the redhead with a tan, to get something from the lunar base? Why did he inject himself with alien DNA? I read that one of the endings had the cyborg alien hydrid helping the girls escape because it still had some humanity left in it. If he didn't intend to turn himself into an alien why did he inject himself with alien DNA? Was he tasked by Malla to get the alien DNA? I remember in Xenotake Malla infected herself with alien DNA near the end and became somewhat of a hybrid herself.

The male protag didn't help. See, with the slow buildup to h-scenes, a female protag works REALLY WELL. The anticipation of seeing her FINALLY have sex adds to the desire to see what happens next. Her personality matters, because that's part of seeing her corrupted/violated/in a loving relationship/etc.

No one actually felt "Man, I really want this creepy drug-addict psycho to finally have sex. Seeing him lose his virginity is my goal. I'll play just a little big longer because I really want to see him naked and going at it with some girl."

The reused animations would be less jarring if they had the allure of being a female protagonist that the player cares about.
